I work out in gyms that will often only have a few rules, but those rules are VERY prominently displayed and expected to be followed. My understanding is that this is key to the reluctance to allow women in combat; not because they can't handle it, but because we haven't found a way to train out the impulse men have to risk their own lives for women, even in inappropriate situations that require them to defy orders. Athletes professional and at many colleges are held to much higher standards than for regular people. This is true at the high school level as well, though it's an ugly practice. Schools basically use extra-curricular activity participation as an excuse to overreach into what students do on their own time. The school has no authority to enforce conduct out of school, so it just threatens to throw students out of debate/football/chearleading/chess if they don't tow the line.

I am not. You're mistaking your preference in usage as being absolute definitions. Even the Oxford English (which I believe is a more prestigious source than the one I linked) refers to the distinction you're making as one of typical usage, not definition. There's a great English show called "Broadchurch" whose first season opens with the suspicious death of a boy. As the season progresses one of the characters is exposed as a convicted 'child rapist' and presumed by the townspeople to be responsible for the boy's death. I saw Lewis about 15 years ago at small club in Cleveland and he came out and just went apoplectic from moment one. He was 3 minutes in before we had any idea what he was talking about, it had something to do with fucking bears, hating temperate weather and eating animals you'd never seen before. Then he closes the bit with "And that's how Cleveland was founded" The place erupted, it was amazing.

I would expect attractiveness to correlate strongly with sentencing across both genders and many crimes where the judge has a lot of sentencing discretion. Attractive people have easier lives. Instead of an algorithm, studies usually just ask a lot of people to rate them.

The APA attempted to create a diagnosis for ephebophile a while back and then found that it was pretty much just 'normalcy'. Being sexually attracted to sexually mature teenagers isn't unusual. I think there is a diagnosis for people who become obsessed with them to the point that it has ongoing negative impacts on their lives, but these tend to be people who are obsessed with teenage-hood in general and never really matured past it.

This happened in my school (and happens a lot) and I know he was arrested. Not sure how it turned out. Age of consent was 16, she was of age, but he was a teacher at our high school. They actually ran away together and were on the lam for a while, maybe years. Someone randomly recognized them while vacationing in Florida.

It had serious issues, but Total Recall was worth seeing. It doesn't improve on to Verhoeven's take, but it's different enough that you probably won't sit there comparing the two the whole time. For instance, Mars plays no role whatsoever. The biggest problem, and I've heard a lot of people say this, is it becomes really difficult to tell the two female leads apart in action scenes. Robocop was worthless.

That's a hell of a jump. By my logic, gender is a binary genetic state that we lack the technology to change. The only birth defect that applies here is XXY males, who actually can be what you are trying to imply trans folks to be. This occurs in about 1/1000 males. The fact is sex is defined by chromosomes. There are people with 3 of them, but that's exceedingly rare. Even more so than dyphoria. There's really very little argument over who is male and who is female and feelings don't really enter into it. If you friend wants to live as a man, more power to them. As a guy who worked alongside several women with CCNAs or similar certs, this doesn't surprise me at all. I met several men who kind of fell into networking, but the women I worked with ended up there by determined choice. Digging around, I see what you mean. I find plenty of resources saying, in a blanket sort of way, that even voluntary intoxication removes the ability to consent.
