First of all, if you look at this person's (smoothieluverr) recent posts, you'll see that she is a sugar baby, and further down this thread you can also see this person has diagnosed BPD. So for those of you reading, you're reading the words and counter arguments of a sugar baby with borderline personality disorder. Bear that in mind, please. What you're doing here, smoothieluverr, by attempting to split hairs with me about whether BPD is dangerous, or treatable, is going to leave some poor he…

For those of you claiming “all” women have some form of BPD, or show signs of it, etc. you cannot be more wrong. What you are saying is extremely dangerous to the men on here asking about it (maybe men who have just started dating a woman who claims to have been diagnosed with BPD), because it trivializes the experience of actually dating a person with a personality disorder. I was in my early 30s before I dated a woman with diagnosed BPD. I had many girlfriends and plates up to that point, enou…

(By the way... my understanding of it is that the women who have cheated on me weren't on Reddit asking whether it was a good idea or not, and furthermore only felt bad because they couldn't keep me around after I found out about it. Even so, it was shameful and embarrassing for them.)

You qualified your response to say that your needs are met for only certain circumstances. You're currently not in that circumstance. So your needs are not met. Right? And so, do you tolerate that or go for instant gratification? Your OP was concise and very understandable. That's why I didn't say "yes, cheat" or "no, don't cheat." You have to be able to answer your own questions. I was trying to give you relevant questions that weren't obvious from the OP. Answering "why" is a good start. Tea…

I see this as a personal challenge for my life. Why would I want to cheat? Possibly because I'm in an LTR or marriage (can't cheat if you're not, right?) and I'm not getting whatever thing I feel like I need from it. Well... if that's true, why am I allowing myself to be in a relationship that doesn't meet my needs? Why did I position myself in this situation that wasn't ideal for me? FWIW I no longer pursue LTRs, and I have also never cheated. I've been cheated on several times though. I …

I would say overall, the positives outweigh the negatives. I got you on that point. Every person decides how much negative they are willing to tolerate. And I get that you're condensing the bad behavior because that's what you're asking about. However, your title states that you're considering bailing, so I assumed you were already on the threshold of "too much negative." With regards to your reaction, there are several things people can do when they're subject to behaviors they don't like. Re…

She has very good LTR qualities It doesn't sound like it. She sounds like a PITA. She then said, "I can't be with someone who is not nice and this is not going to work out". Why would you want to be in a relationship with someone who intentionally creates drama to test whether you're "nice"? She basically brings up last week and here I go again trying to smooth shit over... Which you'll continue to do, forever, because she's creating drama for you to handle, to prove to herself that you'll f…

I hear you, too, on this point. I'm in the same boat. I lurk a lot, having discovered TRP years ago, and using that information to understand why my relationships sucked. But, there's this thing that happens as a person learns and becomes more expert on a particular topic... the basics become inane, and boring, and can feel tedious. However, there will always be new folks learning the basics. Sometimes silly questions will come up, but they're only silly to you because you've been there, done th…

Some women use their own version of dread to try to get a man to commit to a relationship. They do not understand that this is a massive turn-off for many men, and that it's the opposite of what a green flag looks like. They think by demonstrating they *could* have any number of other men, you'll panic and offer up what they're asking for (commitment). Problem is, once in a relationship, they'll use the same tactics against you when fighting. Why? Because it worked the last time. This leads to…

Thoughts from a fellow bean pole (was 6ft 140lbs and lean from the age of 15-32), here's what I did to get from 140-160 in 10 months (goal is to get to 170-175 and see how I feel): Decided to add muscle mass about 10 months ago. For the previous year I had been doing the hour-long free videos on YouTube from Fitness Blender. These are simple, no-nonsense HIIT videos. They also have some great yoga and pilates videos. I suggest doing their hour long pilates video once a week for core muscles - …

Just thought I'd throw my 2c in here. Perhaps it can help. I think there are multiple ways this can happen. I've backed my way into being the mystery guy twice, so there are two women for whom that's my current role. I actually discovered TRP because of this; I wanted to explain the phenomena because I couldn't figure it out for myself. I believe TRP has helped me to frame these dynamics a bit. In my case, both are former LTRs. Before you say anything, know that I do NOT recommend this for p…
