When did pick up coaches start insisting on making videos instead of writing words? Does anyone want to have to sit through an 11 minute video unless they know something good is in it? How many videos are worth much more than the tl;dr version of the video?

Not just Mark Manson. Hell, Mystery was very familiar with evolutionary biology. He called it peacocking because he understand exactly the dynamics behind why peacocking worked. If a noob gets something out of this...great. Sincerely. But lets not pretend this is some new secret that has come out.

However, wearing a pink fur coat and ski googles is not what directly caused women to find them attractive. Did anyone ever say it did? The issue is not the actual act of buying a woman a drink, but what the act sub-communicates and one’s intentions behind it. Again, did anyone suggest the act was, in fact, critical vs the subcommunication and intentions? I don't really disagree with anything you've said, but you seem to be suggesting it is something new/profound when it is pretty much standard …
