Thanks for the reply, I should have been a little more clear. You should know how to cook so you can eat excellent meals, and discern who is capable of making you excellent meals. Eating well is one of life's better experiences, and it is an experience to share with friends and family. You should know how to bring such experiences about. I completely agree, and I can and do cook well for friends and family. I had a pretty bad one-itis earlier in the year and I used to enjoy cooking for her often…

An interesting point here is that he is Italian, and therefore socially expected to be dramatic. When I lived in Spain, half the shit the Spaniards said to women would sound incredibly weird coming from a British guy. Just goes to show - be your own brand of alpha. What works for others won't necessarily work for you.
