Believing there is no "generic" advice assumes each situation is different and, at least in an implicit sense in my mind, more special and complicated than the generic baseline advice - which is ludicrous. If we thought this way concerning each situation, even though we're given information to work off of, albeit "not enough" in your frame of mind , then we wouldn't have the immense scientific and technological progress in society today given the vast simplifying assumptions we made in order to …

This is the kind of comment I was afraid would be up-voted instead of useful advice. You're essentially saying a hypothetical example isn't useful because you don't know all the facts as this is a stranger and not a close friend. I'd wager with your friends, whether they're close or not, you wouldn't know all the facts either so you'd still provide a statistical argument, even if you feel it's personalize for their specific case. This comment is a cop out for potentially answering the question "…

You're asking a binary question - blue pill thinking treats black and white issues as a continuum of possibilities. They like to treat each case individually - which is "fair" in the sense that each person differs in preferences and it's totally not OK to generalize a response /s. Pigeonholing a response "doesn't" matter in the grand scheme if things as each person is different /s! Asking women for their individual opinion doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things since every preference diffe…

My take, the blue pill ideology believes in a toxic, apathetic ideal regarding masculinity. They sugarcoat and oversimplifying complicated self-help advice with "just be yourself" and essentially "you're fine just the way you are". They lack perspective on how the other sex perceives romantic relationships by making the broad assumption that "just being yourself" works as well for men as it does for women. Just be yourself does not work, at least not the way the blue pill believes. Speaking from…

/u/Carkudo , did you try this method and whether or not it was successful in your case?

Make friends with girls without the intention of being in a romantic relationship with them in order to build confidence with talking to women as well as building understanding and empathy. Doors this mean make female friends first to build confidence, or to be friends first, then escalate into a relationship? The latter should be misleading for the girl he befriends, while the former wouldn't allow the guy to start a relationship. How will understanding and empathy help him start a relationship…

Wow, I didn't consider parents as a potential cause and contributing factor but it makes sense. After a while of failures and confusion, your acquaintance may wise up to his sheltered behavior as abnormal and counter productive in the long run. Hopefully he's happy.

This seems to be the case in my experience as well. The loud and obnoxious Omegas get noticed, while the vast majority of the silent Omegas slip away into eternal frustration. It's hard to help or give advice to someone when they opt out of basic human activities in favor of their own thing, even if they hate themselves for it. The ones who want to change have a long road ahead of himself, but I think it's still doable with some self discipline and hard work.

How do you stop being an Omega then?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
