| 1 | Do you require that your wife/future wife take your name? No, not at all. On a side note, I’ve heard of couples who invent a new last name for themselves. It’s all good and perhaps a good compromise if you can’t agree on either one of your birth names. But if you take in the broader picture; last names are not as they use to be. | 3 | Do you require that your wife/future wife take your name? This is were the mitochondrial Eve comes from, which is a woman that can be quite accurately pinpointed to have lived some time ago, which is the ancestor to all of today’s living people. It’s just about winning a social score. Men’s day don’t need that kind of treatment, because it’s shallow and only a PR-stunt. | /r/MensRights | 19/11/19 08:21 PM |
| 4 | Happy International Men’s Day!Men’s day is a recognized official day in many countries, such as Australia and New Zeeland. It’s from the spring of those that we have the ‘international’ flair to it, and the effort to make it recognizable worldwide. But it’s quite sad, especially in my progressive country, to hear on state-owned radio shows that they mock the fact that these two share the same day. Like it’s just some kind of ridicule. They probably doesn’t even know what IMD really is about, because it’s so often compared to… | /r/MensRights | 19/11/19 08:18 PM |
