Maybe the problem is that globally there's 7 fucking billion people? I mean when in the history of humanity has there ever been that many people period perhaps it isn't sustainable and it's just naturally correcting itself by people having less children. I mean when you think about our species is the most numerous, barring insects - plants and I think shrimp or is it krill, on this planet.

When you say significant what do you mean. If you mean majority than normal looking is that.

-are you in (or have you been in) long term relationships? How many/how long? 1 Longterm (about 3 short term - 1 year or less) I'm currently in the longterm one we've been together for 4 years now. -are you close personal friends with women? How many? Yes, 3 -do you have sisters you’re close with? Yes, my older sister. She's cool If I've observed anything and if there's anything me and the women I'm friends with have come to agree on is that women don't tend to like men that other women don't li…

I don't think the parameters specified enjoyment 🤣. In enjoyment was also a requirement that would cut the men willing to almost exclusively gay men.

I'd suck a dick for a billion dollars especially cause I don't live America. The exchange to where I live would make me ridiculously rich. Ohohoho

That is literally the worst advice. I think it would break my heart if someone ever faked an interest in my hobbies cause they're quite niche

What's shallow about needing someone to be physically attractive to be attracted to them?

You can't be emotionless but you can be inexpressive. Humans are emotional. As men what we need is to learn to be responsible and nurturing to own feelings and emotions. Self responsibility not non emotionality. If you try to not be emotional you can only repress and that only fucks you up. Why? You don't learn how to actually handle your own emotions. Which is a must to be able to be confident. In fact I'd say if you can learn to control your emotions and take care of yourself emotionally as a …

I’ve heard many people (especially men) say “you can cheat and still love your partner very much; you just want some strange!” But they don’t seem to realize that if you’re prioritizing “strange” over the self-esteem, ability to trust, and heart of your partner, you probably couldn’t give half a fuck. And the promises thing is self-explanatory. Well this isn't about their partner. It's exclusively how THEY feel about their partner. So you're right to a degree maybe they don't care about those th…

It's as you say. I'm at a point at which I don't do cold approaches. On the plus at least for me I'm discovering more fulfilling relationships with women as friends when I'm no longer trying to by and larger approach women I'm attracted to so secret bonus?

Well no cause you can't actually say how things will turn confidence is believing in yourself and your own ability to handle challenges that arise or situations you find yourself in.

This is one of the greatest reasons for me not engaging with commenting on this sub but sometimes there are gems and conversations that have helped me "grow up" mentally so to speak. I'm really learning a lot as I can't really experience a dead bed room as things stand, or maybe I don't care enough about what it means for a relationship because I'm still kinda youngish but I'm learning from what you've just told me I kinda have a disconnect between sex the physical act and the way it can facilitate both mental and emotional closeness.

I really enjoying reading about your moment of empathy for your boyfriend online people seem to make empathy for others some weird gross thing, I've also learnt a lot from everyone's posts and I see now that a dead bedroom is probably worse than I was thinking, I've still got years to learn( hopefully). You're all like my mentors in a way

Idk why this last sentence of yours really cracked me up. I don't have much else to say about your perspective it's just curious to see that a lot of people think that the only truly defining factor of a relationship and a friendship is sex

Sex Fog, when I begin learning how to do animation I want to make a skit about that wtf that's so funny. Media outlets do push the idea that a man that isn't sex obsessed isn't a man at all which is pitiable at best. Hopefully some day we will begin to desire to explore more about our humanity than just our reproductive ability or sexuality

I think that the most interesting thing to me about people who idolize sex is that they are necessarily boring people, at least to me. Sex is one of the most boring activities I've ever encountered after the first time is the same thing over and over again. Where did you learn to cook? A lot of people my age (19) seem to have an aversion to cooking which is weird cause they all like to eat well cooked food. What type of women are you into are rather I should say what type of women do you attract…

I guess it's naive to believe that people would rather pursue what they love and what they think is healthy whilst also questioning the messages they're bombarded with. It's not easy to dictate for yourself what you consider to be important when you want to be socially successful but I guess I would that at the very least people would be motivated to actually find a way of existing and living that's beneficial to the totality of human experience and not just the fulfillment of the desires of the…

I'm not 100% sure about the implementation, seeing as I've never seen a counselor or anyone else in a similar position before idk what that would entail. My idea is more along the lines of included classes specifically to explain what we as species understand about emotions and processing them.

I believe it can be taught. I also believe it can be taught en-masse it's just that people tend to worry about a lot of other things
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/19 05:16 PM
1

No. Once you're truly in love with a woman you hardly notice others. If a man told you this you were being plated. Please only speak for yourself. Simply because you can only love one person romantically at a time doesn't mean the rest of us arent different. I'd like to say how people love has a lot to do with how they perceive themself in relation to you. A lot of people who are "monogamous" really see relationships as a merger you symbolically become one person ( 1+1=1). What happens though if…

/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/19 11:45 PM

This is were regulating and processing comes into play because how you Express your emotions and even deal with becomes important when dealing with others
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/19 11:41 PM

I see, I'm still quite young myself so I can't say I've had enough of my own experiences to perhaps mirror what you're saying either way thank you for the insight. I also hadn't considered, at least not consciously, that guys should be generally more forth coming with each other.

Your opinion sounds dangerous.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/19 11:26 PM
2

You're not wrong. Then I'll say this. The way manning up has been portrayed and spoken about implies that a lot people agree that manning is is perceived as showing no emotions.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/19 11:24 PM
1

Nothing good comes with showing women weakness. There's a difference here. Men are typically weak when they show emotions and woman absolutely recoil from it most of the time. Probably because a lot men don't know how to deal with emotions in a way that doesn't leave them vulnerable. Emotions aren't a weakness they can only be perceived as such but perceptions arent reality. And women will call those men man children. That's why you go hang out with your "bros" if you are dealing with some deep …

Although I'd like to agree with you, this isn't what we see playing out in ordinary life. Military training and military life isn't the average life experience of many people. A lot of people hold the belief that manning up equates to not expressing any feelings and even presenting yourself as "emotionless" in a sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/19 11:18 PM
1

I see, I disagree with you though. In a sense what you're saying to me implies some sort of neglect to acknowledge that both men and women are human first, when I say this what I mean is that a lot of issue we face are human issues before they gain some nuance and become gendered issues. Like for emotions fo example. I can agree that men and women normally do deal with emotions differently but I completely disagree with you on the point that men should deal with their emotions alone in silence. …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/19 11:16 PM

I guess then the seemingly socially accepted idea if manning up is different to what you believe. In this instance though I do agree with you to a point, if just like to ask if you could clarify what exactly manning up entails to you. Are we talking about completely trying to ignore your emotions so that you can get the job done? Or are you making mention to something else

I feel like I see this from the perspective of a "normal guy" who's been in about 3 relationships so for me it just feels like a lot of the just let your emotions run lose shit is really BS advice is especially for guys but I do believe at the same time that a range of expressed emotion is healthy for everyone even if it doesn't get you sex.

I am actually Zimbabwean and only came to South africa in the last 4 years so I'm not sure. What I do know though is that in Zim it seems to be that there's a high value on education for both men and women there's stigma around casual sex i think, I only started to care about this recently and u till recently I was just a young boy so I'm not sure I'll probably ask my dad and get back to you.

I have interacted with a lot of Asian people specifically chinese or korean. Yeah this might not be the best place to discuss this Saudi Arabians in particular but I am aware of how fundamentalist Muslims view sex, although I don't think this is the right place to discuss this.

I am middle class and I guess we can say I do live in a suburban area but I'm black so that's the only one you hot wrong. On the one hand, the rural rape epidemic and the fact that animals rape as well is proof that we men are naturally a bunch of horny fuckers, regardless of whether or not we have access to American media. But on the other hand, you get Asian cultures where men (and people in general) clearly legitimately see sex as less of a priority than their Western counterparts Ah you see.…

Your inability to understand why sex is important lies in your asexuality. Yeah I didn't want it to be a thing but you're right I guess a big part of why I fail to understand it is cause I myself dont really feel it much if at all.

It may come across like that but that's not what I wanted to say. I've realized now that what I typed is poorly worded but I only know life from my perspective. From what I've seen a lot of people that I know consume a lot of American media I'm not sure how much that plays into how they interact with other people but im assuming it works subconsciously almost like a blueprint for behaviour. Obviously people will behave how they like and are taught but they also learn from the things they consume…

I'm pretty sure that's not what I was trying to say but i may have come across as saying that. I was talking about my own experience and how it seems like males here in RSA especially the places I am seem to emulate the things we seem from American media and the type of attitude that males are portrayed as having towards women. And when you take into account that most rapes happen in rural areas you can't say it's because American media pressurizes them to have sex. I don't disagree with you. I …

I rarely go to the Kwazulu-Natal region especially recently with the xenophobia and the demonstrations happening. Killing of black foreign people, burning of their businesses etc. I would probably try go visit it now that I know it exists. Perhaps in 2022

It's going to take some time for me to digest that. To try and understand it. Do you have any insights about what it means? To you personally?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 11:09 AM
5

Well, from my experience with a lot of people that I have been associated with and people that I talk to, men and women. There seems to be a general attitude from women that most guys will only approach you if they want sex and then from speaking and being around a lot of men they typically never express the sentiment of ever wanting to be simply friends with women at least when we get around to topics about friendship/relationships/sex/culture. My friends and acquaintances that are men have a g…

I really have no arguement against this or for it either. I doubt if I asked I'd get an accurate answer but I'll try find out if this is the case.

You're actually. I should rather try and speak to more Americans than assuming that what we see on tv is an accurate potryal of reality. Thank you for your response.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 11:00 AM
7

If you really want an answer like it's not obvious. Friendship, business partners, companionship for activities I.e gyming or other hobbies. There are other types of relationships you can have with people.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 10:48 AM
7

Because there are other reasons for why someone would approach another person. Idk am I the one who's being weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 10:43 AM
5

I see. Thank you for your response. I honestly did not want to talk about my own sexuality cause I know a lot of people don't think it's a real thing. So I'm asexual ( there's a lot grey area there but I'll leave it at that) so for me sex doesn't really do much but make my girlfriend happy cause she really likes having sex she enjoys it. So she gets to get me to focus really hard on what she likes in bed cause I generally don't care either way when it comes to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 10:42 AM
3

Well my question isn't why would men want sex with women. Rather it is why is that the primary motivator for engaging with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 10:40 AM
6

You see the world as you are. You'd only ask this question because you're doing the "pick me" thing whatever that is. Maybe I came off as being judgemental or implying things that I didn't want to. All I was trying to get across is that I want to understand why sex seems to be the primary motivator of why a lot of men interact with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 10:32 AM
1

That is true I do undervalue sex. I'm not trying to come of as being judgmental perhaps I do though. What I'm really trying to understand though is why sex seems to be the primary motivator in interacting with women who aren't a part of a mans family.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 10:30 AM
7

Where did I say anywhere that I wanted someone to pick me? Lol please don't project. I'm trying to understand why it's looked down upon by a lot guys if you're a guy who doesn't want to only be interacting with women with the end goal of sex as the motivator.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 10:27 AM
1

With a good reason I'd say 3 months. On average though I'd say 1 week. My life doesn't revolve around interacting with my partner. I have hobbies and friends and uni shit. It wouldn't exactly be fun but I could do a week
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/19 10:22 AM

because most of us guys have at some point been friendzoned and it sucks But the idea of the "friendzone" alludes to the mindset that being friends with a woman is a bad thing and that a relationship in which you get sex from said woman is what you should be aiming for. Please counter me if I'm wrong <3. because sex is the most valuable commodity that can actually be traded (except sex with that fat hooker down the corner, that's almost free) I guess I struggle to understand why connection and f…
