Injecting oneself with hormones via syringe that can cause mood issues and weight gain isn't super enjoyable. IUI passes the cervix which can be very uncomfortable. Some people just hate pap smears. I've put mine off for years because I black out due to anxiety due to feeling vulnerable. I'm fine with my partner (my only lifetime partner) but that's because we trust each other and are comfortable together, and because I'm comfortable with sex feelings.

IVF and IUI aren't simple procedures. They involve taking pills and hormones. IVF also includes harvesting eggs.

I'm a woman who was accused of "jumping a guy's bones" before. We kissed, and I was fine with that. I was a virgin and didn't want to do anything. I wasn't on birth control. I wasn't wanting to have sex. I do remember him asking "just the tip to see how it feels?" I said no. He pushed my head there. He pressured me into giving him a blow job. I said no. He pushed my head down and kept it there for an hour and a half. My mind just left my body. I went into auto pilot and then it was over because …

She's by no means innocent because she did rape, no question. But she may be not guilty due to the fact she's intellectually disabled.

Not an apologist. But if she was found to be intellectually disabled she may not know what she did was wrong. There are women who rape but if she was actually disabled she probably didn't realize what she was wrong. I think most people who have sex with people under the age of 15 have something wrong with them, depending on why they raped. I was raped at 17 and the guy who did it was mentally disturbed- a psychopath. So he knew he did it and he didn't feel remorse. But if he had an intellectual …

If she is actually intellectually disabled she actually could be considered a rape victim by the dad and seen not guilty by reason of insanity on raping the son. I just think the whole situation is messed up but she may be so disabled that she doesn't understand what she did.

They didn't say he lasted 45 seconds. They say the sex lasted 45 seconds. He could have asked her to stop and he didn't see a need to finish because he thought it was wrong.

He called sex, "Bouncing on my genitals" and he said, "he didn't enjoy it because he knew it was wrong." He not only didn't really consent, but he was uncomfortable and didn't want to once it started.

I feel like some feminists would say she was raped because she had a sexual relationship with the father, and he knew she was immature.
/r/MensRights05/10/15 06:17 PM

But the father had sex with her too, I think it said. Edit: "However, the boy's father - who had a previous sexual relationship with the woman - defended Hatt in court and described her as immature."

My teacher and I were talking about that. Guys will take a shotgun to the head while girls will overdose on aspirin and slit their wrists in a bathtub. The men I know who killed themselves -Shot himself -Slit his artery in the garage -Hung himself The girls I know -Hung themselves

That's true. There's always the gray area. I've been assaulted but there's no evidence so it would be my word against his. I was underage, said no a few times and then he just kind of pushed my head for a bj and I was so shocked I didn't say no, but when he was taking off my clothes I pulled away but he grabbed me and slapped me and stuff. It sucks that there are people who take advantage and it sucks there are people who claim they were raped when they weren't.

I understand that some people don't mind having sex while wasted, but if they're passed out, that's wrong. Unless they specifically say that it's okay to have sex while they're passed out, it's not okay.

Even if she was okay with it before, it isn't admirable to go through with it because she was under the influence of cocaine and alcohol. I think it would be like somebody saying you can borrow $100, but then taking it out of their pockets while they're sleeping. Yeah, they said you could have it, but you should make sure they're aware you're taking the money.

I am 19 and looked pretty old when I was 12 or 13 (my boyfriend's friends actually freaked out when I showed them) and I understand that it can be misleading. I had men in their 30's or so hitting on me, and I even had to say I was a minor to get them to stop. Haha. Now that I'm 19, I still tend to seem older than my age. I'm pretty honest and don't take advantage to drink or whatever. And I am dating a 24-year-old, and people tend to think he and I are the same age. It is horrible that this gir…

Yep. I've talked to a counselor back in March I think. She also happened to be a specialist in rape and sexual abuse. She actually cried, but I have come to terms with what happened. I was 17 and naïve, and he was 19 and knew exactly what he was doing. He was incredibly manipulative. I have talked, I am now in a good, healthy relationship.

It's hard to call it that because people say it isn't. I know I felt violated, but to cope, I put it off as if I wanted that. I knew he didn't like me, that he was having sex with other girls, and I didn't care. I knew he wasn't relationship material. We kissed and he immediately took off my clothes, even though I pulled them back. Some people say it's not rape because I let him do that. I felt vulnerable and threatened. I've been in a situation in which my choices with this scumbag were to have unprotected sex which I said no to three times, or give a blowjob. I was in a car so I couldn't leave, he removed my clothes and he was on top of my clothes. I had few options. So I had to settle for the lesser of two evils. My first kiss was at that instance and he forced me down there for 90 minutes. He tried to put it in me "just the tip" and when I said no, he groaned and put my face there. I was relieved when I tast…

Agreed. First of all, if she just called and left and said, "I'm running away, don't look for me." there wouldn't be a search for a body. The kids wouldn't have to come to terms with the fact that their mother was likely dead, and was dead in the eyes of the law.

All I can say is that a girl has to have her own self-respect in order to get a guy who is good for her. Yes, there are a lot of good guys, and there are bad ones too. I've experienced a guy who took advantage of me (he didn't rape me, but took advantage of my vulnerability and insecurity to get me to do things I thought I should just "get it over with" because I didn't think I deserved better). Some girls are insecure and think that attention isn't genuine. And don't think it's because you're ugly or have a bad personality. They could be uninterested, insecure, or not wanting a relationship.

It is definitely sad to see that the woman typically gets to see income, keep the house, have the kids more often... etc. I'd hope that if two people get married, they'd find a way to make the divorce assets turn out equal. There are plenty of decent girls as well. They hide a bit more. Most haven't dated, to be honest. Just look for the geeky ones, and they'll be there.

Seriously, I've had so many awesome guys in my life. An amazing dad, a wonderful brother, and such a great boyfriend. And countless other friends and acquaintances. Their impact on my life has been so substantial, and their insight and way they view the world is nothing short of amazing. I can't stand when girls say they can't trust men. Yes, some men are scumbags, but there are wonderful people out there.
/r/MensRights08/01/13 02:05 AM
5

Definitely. All the guys I know who killed themselves or attempted to do so had horrific events. My friend shot himself. The girls I know just slit their wrists, and didn't die. My teacher put it the best way. She said, "Girls don't want to make a mess and will slit their wrists and go in the bathtub. Or take a lot of pills. Boys blow their brains out."
/r/MensRights08/01/13 02:01 AM

Indeed. Different, but equal. I'm an 18-year-old girl, and even though I'm attending college currently, if I were to choose to not work and be a stay-at-home mother, people wouldn't bat an eye at my decision. If my partner were to choose to stay at home while I work, he may be seen as using me. You know? I am completely content with being a woman. I cannot imagine how boys can get judged for showing emotion. It's a completely natural thing and not a sign of weakness or not being macho. I can only hope that when I have children one day, they will be comfortable with who they are. I have been having tension with my mother because she wants me (her daughter) to wear more makeup, straighten her hair, and not be fat. Well, I'm happy with how I am, but I can only imagine the pressure some guys face, and it's not as openly discussed.
/r/MensRights07/01/13 07:37 PM

As a woman, I actually disagree. Whenever my friends say, "Boys have it so easy, not having pressure to look good." Um, no. Boys are often pressured to be muscular. They're pressured to be attractive. They may be made fun of for being scrawny or fat. They may have acne. They may not be good at sports. It's just that girls can be more upfront about their judgement, whereas the judgement men face is not as visible. It's a human issue, not a gender issue.

They didn't call with the survey. My mom didn't receive anything about it. And I was given a bill of $400 for urine analysis and antibiotics for my kidney infection. /r/MensRights01/01/13 04:28 PM

That's insane. To be aware of a problem and actively seek a treatment? That's like if they didn't cover people going in for treatment of the flu. They should cover preventative care.

My insurance won't cover my pill which was started for medical purposes. They haven't covered anything since October, including an ER visit for a kidney infection, medications for that infection, a strep test, a trip to the gynecologist, a STD test, and pill refills. I got on the pill before I was sexually active because I was bleeding so heavily that I was unable to attend school or leave bed because of the bleeding. Thank you. I don't really think such double standards can exist. Yes, boys will be boys and may look at a girl or think she's hot. A boy may get horny and rub one off. A boy may get off to porn. Yeah. I mean, and I am not justifying her sexual harassment at all, just saying something, she obviously likes her boyfriend and thought maybe he wanted to have sex with her. For a girl, it's fun to touch penises. I can see how she'd want to. I have been guilty of that before. I'm aware of what you're talking about. It seems like the typical reduction patient is a moderately overweight woman who has big boobs. Yeah, boobs add to back problems, but they could lose weight and get smaller. When my friend lost 60 pounds, she went down a bra size or two. That comment is true. One thing I fear, though is the man lashing out at the woman. It doesn't prevent rape. It just makes people get caught. In places like South Africa, it's so common to be raped. Even though women shouldn't do things to draw attention to themselves (drinking and causing vulnerability, leading on men), it is true. You don't have to worry if you don't rape people. I fear that women could use this as a way to get revenge on a cheating lover.
