Great! I'm not in the army or a trained fighter so I can go murder someone right? After all I don't hold any formalized power! Yeah baby!

Obama is a single entity. Feminists are a group. I think my analogy is more true to the op's comment.
/r/MensRights28/02/15 09:38 PM

No it would be like saying "there are still plenty of authority figures creating their own NSAs daily so let's be vigilant". It is not whiny it is a reminder that work is not over.
/r/MensRights28/02/15 08:55 PM

It's stupid only because the outcome they mentioned could very well happen. Plenty of feminists think that a woman can not sexually harass or rape a man simply because of what thething just said. And you know what? The fucking law seems to back them up 90% of the time.
/r/MensRights28/02/15 08:17 PM

All men have not always had a "bad reputation". There have always been wife beaters. Who then is responsible for giving all men this "bad reputation"? The ones screaming that reputation at every media outlet and wherever young minds grow.

This is good advice in very nearly any situation. The only time I would call the cops is if I'm locked in an unescapable room with a phone. Or i am a small child suffering very bad abuse (remember it has to be worse than the abuse you will get under foster care or why bother leaving). Otherwise settle the damn score yourself or leave town. The cops only know how to hurt.

The whole thing is fucked. In no way should I be allowed to go into a bar, find a 350lb muscle maniac, kick him in the nuts, run away as he chases me, and get him arrested because he is more capable of beating the shit out of me than me beating him. But this is the law you are defending.

s.e.m.a.n.t.i.c.s. you are still arguing them. Why are you arguing with me about my tone and choice of words? Hell since we are being so self-reflective why do you keep responding with these long posts about how you totally want to talk but then we talk about my attitude for 10 minutes? The topic is gays and the religious who hate them on the next Oprah. Btw done with this thread. Have fun wasting someone else's time.

Oh please get off your high horse. I never did "scream" Mr. Feelings on the shoulder. I said fuck once two posts ago... You are trying to back out of a discussion you are losing by painting me as a lunatic instead of refuting my points. Which, by the way, I think I made rather succinctly. If you were genuinely not interested in having a conversation with me you would have never responded. But, you want to feel that you have won so I get this baby post about my attitude. Check it again cupcake al…

I didn't assume you were religious. I will not calm down. They want to ban people from getting hitched in their church that is fine by me. We will not argue semantics about the civil matter of dual unions called "marriage" it is for everyone and the "don't call it marriage" line is just distracting to the real topic which is a state supported partnership between 2 people that the religious are butt hurt about because it doesn't fit their highly fractured worldview.
/r/MensRights05/02/15 10:06 PM

Marriage is not something that belongs to fucking Catholics. You don't get something just because you claim it as yours when it is not. They didn't invent social pairing and just because you "feel" like its theirs because you grew up in this specific place at this specific time in history when they happen to be dominating the topic doesnt make it so. Just like the USA wasn't founded on Christian values to be a Christian country just because they scream it really loud on TV!

1) If your view is personal to you and you know that and you arent applying it to others, then what relevance does it have to the topic here? I was directly responding to this statement: What you're saying here is that you'd rather be burned alive and/or hacked to death with a machete than sexually assaulted and/or forced to work? At least in the latter case there's still the possibility of rescue, which seems to me to be the one thing differentiating the two cases. Which was some redditor's res…

I can't believe this is a debate, that is what you said. You believe your view is so obvious you are just shocked that anyone would debate otherwise. Yes that is what i just fucking said Therefore you are in fact doing what I said you are doing. No I was stating my opinion and looking for reasons people believe otherwise. You are still jumping to conclusions that make no sense and stating them without any logic to explain how you got from A to B. Once again, in what way is your opinion relevant …

Wow, it took a days and me asking repeatedly for you to cite me so I could comprehend why you were thinking I was saying the words you were putting in my mouth. I did say that thing you quoted. It means "I believe so strongly that I would rather die before being forced to live as a sex slave that I can not comprehend why any other human being would chose otherwise." And honestly I think that point is pretty straightforward. It is definitely a hell of a lot more straightforward than the mental gy…

I didn't make an argument honey. I made a statement on my preferences as to the life I would want to lead for myself. Then you changed up everything I said to make it an argument. When I pointed out that you couldn't change everything about my statement to make it whatever you want you said "I can indeed do that". But, you don't seem to really be reading and comprehending anyway. So like I said I'm here for you if you need the attention dear. How has your day been?

Omg can't you just accept it! It's so obvious! Why are you being so obtuse! You are making me cry. Salt stalagmites are forming in my neck beard for god's sake!

Oh I get it you're trolling me. Lol you "can indeed change everything about my statement and make It mean something different"... Seriously i can't believe you had to take it that far before i facepalmed. Dude you totally had me going. If you need the attention we can still go back and forth. I am a compassionate person and nearly always willing to help a fellow human. So here goes: Argh you sonofabitch I am so infuriated! I am sitting here fuming and hating you because we have different viewpoi…

No it's not. I want to personally die before I spend years as a rape slave. You can't fucking take that statement and change the tense and time and pronoun to make rape survivors worthless you fucking idiots! I would want me to not be before I make those memories.

Yeah I'd rather be hacked to death or burned alive then forcibly raped as a slave for the rest of my life. Is the statement I made. Please expand on how using the first-person singular nominative case personal pronoun means I am applying it to everyone. Or how this means I think rape survivors "should kill themselves" (your words) or how I think being hacked to death or set on fire is painless. And I wouldn't think I would have to stipulate this but your responses necessitate that I remind you t…

Omg I didn't realize it until the end here so I read some of your post history and you're a troll. Lol ya got me by not being directly abusive in a vulgar way. Well done Eryemil you guys are getting trickier. I'll have to adjust my radar. And since I am a compassionate human being I am responding because I know this attention is what you need. As I sit here I can't help but wonder if you use big words and only slightly negatively colored personal attacks because you are intentionally trying to b…

I think it is downright sick to tell me that I should the life of a slave who is constantly raped keeping myself alive for the hope that one day the rich will find some excuse to attack my owners thereby having the happy accidental side effect of saving me from slavery rape and torture so that I might continue my life a broken husk of the man I once was. I choose death. A million times I would chose death rather than live even 10 years as that slave.

Oh I'm sorry. I didn't know I wasn't allowed to share my personal feelings on the matter. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to put myself in a greatly simplified hypothetical of their situation and decide which fate I would prefer. /s Or perhaps if I had just been allowed to share my feelings on this terrible situation or if people had given genuine replies that added to the conversation instead of arguing points I didn't make or pretending like I said things that I never said it would have gone b…

I never said they should kill themselves and I never said they were worthless. I created a binary hypothetical situation and made a personal judgement on what I would do based on my personal psychological make up and the decisions offered to me in this binary hypothetical. Everyone keeps arguing things I didn't say like: their lives are now worthless and they might as well not just be dead but have wished to be burned alive or hacked to death Which just shows me that they (including yourself) ar…

I created a binary hypothetical situation and made a personal judgement on what I would do based on my personal psychological make up and the decisions offered to me in this binary hypothetical. The fact that everyone keeps arguing things that I didn't say like: to say those who suffer such things might as well kill themselves and hope for death And And btw being hacked to death or set on fire is not a painless death anyw…

And that is how they keep you coming back for more labor and rape.

You are correct. In my hypothetical situation however I am choosing between only 2 options. I hope they have a broader palate of options to chose from more indicative of actual reality.

I have looked down the barrel of a literal gun with literal bullets literally in my face. I know what it feels like. I know what decision I would make if i knew the life ahead of me was full of torture. Feel free to make your own decision if the time comes.
/r/MensRights08/05/14 04:18 AM

No it isn't. It is a dichotomy yes because that is how I phrased the hypothetical. I would rather, given only 2 choices (rapeslave or death) chose death. I don't think the choice is irrational. Choosing a comparatively quick death over years of torture is completely rational. Please enlighten me where I have based my opinions on something unrealistic. Unless of course you mean that there are other options over rapeslave/death which I agree... just not in my self made hypothetical.

Well, according to the comments and downvotes everyone else would rather be a rape slave for the rest of their lives than have a comparatively quick but painful death. I just don't get it.

I am not making up how terrible rape could be in my mind. It was a long time ago. I got off easy compared to a lot of kids but it wasn't nice and has altered me mentally in ways I have constantly fought to overcome as much as possible. So, when I made the statement it was not from the outside looking in. I still stand by the statement that I would rather be dead than a repeatedly raped slave. And again I'm not saying I would rather be killed than raped.

I'm sorry you've been raped and I'm sorry my comment hurt you and I am glad your life has been better than constant rape. I believe that murder is worse than rape. However given the choice of a life of slavery and rape and a comparatively quick death no matter how painful I chose death.

Yeah I'd rather be hacked to death or burned alive then forcibly raped as a slave for the rest of my life. I can't believe this is even a debate. Well, maybe you guys have never been raped in the face. To remember the stink of someone's dick in your nose and mouth forever and how helpless and worthless you feel. I can't even imagine if I thought it would never end and that was just my life now...

We could always gut their use of the word by using it often. I feel privileged to be on reddit where I am privileged to speak my mind. I hope one day we are all so privileged that the word falls out of use.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
