Asking hers with confidence shows that you're used to getting numbers. It also gives you the ability to wait for a few days and increase her interest level because she's wondering about you. High quality women which have <10 guys/week approaching & calling are not going to call you anyway, while they conveniently have 10 other guys in the line.
