Her actions directly led to, not only the confrontation, that took his life and attempted to allow the perpetrator to escape justice. This is ridiculous. The man that pulled the trigger himself made the choice to kill the cop. She played no conscious role in this man's murder. Of course having a gun held to your head is flat out coercion rather than consent. But societal expectations or a guy pestering you for sex and you eventually giving in is not coercion by any stretch of the imagination. The gulf between these two is so wide as to be absurd to try to lump them under the same label. Coercion is coercion. Everything else is simply making a bad decision.

This is just ridiculous. We are under society's influence at all times. At no point do we ever make any decision free of any outside influences whatsoever. Adults are expected to weigh these influences and make the best decision for themselves. Outside influences does not negate one's responsibility for their actions. Sex does not deserve special treatment in this regard. As far as responsibility for one's actions is concerned, it is as simple as yes or no.

so let's assume I'm awesome, we hook up, fingering, oral sex, and I blow you. But no penetration sex. I'd say that's fine, as oral sex is sex anyways. The point is that bringing a guy into your bedroom is communicating your intention to have sex. To then just cut things off as if you you're completely oblivious to the subtext of bringing a guy into your bedroom is wrong, you do it knowing full well what you're communicating.
