Neither things are gender specific. We all (men and women) make hundreds of decisions per day, some done based on how we feel, some on what is actually logical.

Listen, man, you believe what you want to. But if you’re not a gun owner and have never carried a gun on your person, you won’t get just how close you have to be to draw someone else’s gun. It’s literally impossible to not know. You don’t need spidey senses to know when someone is trying to grab at you and pull something off of your person. A loaded gun handled by someone who knows how to use it is relatively risk free. A loaded gun handled by someone who has no idea what they’re doing is the bi…

You should always have knowledge of your gun’s location, especially if it’s in a holster that is attached to your body or clothing. For instance, my holster is Kydex and form fitted to my specific gun. It offers resistance when drawing my firearm, so it cannot slip out and it will only come out when you are intentionally drawing. You know when someone is taking your gun because they have to be very close to you and usually have a good angle to draw the weapon, as most holsters are situated in sp…

That’s a rather broad brush you’re painting us with there. Men act out based on their feelings as well, just as women also act based on logic. It’s not so black and white.

As a gun owner who openly carries on my hip, I position my holster away from them. If they do come near my holster, my hand comes to rest on the butt of my gun. It’s why you always see cops with their hand on their holsters. Whether they intend to draw their weapon or not, they are also protecting it from being drawn by anyone else. A gun owner is responsible for their gun and the safety of others in its presence. Failing to secure the gun and keep it out of reach of people who do not know how t…

It really comes back to the type of running. A dead on Usain Bolt sprint would really freak me out. A casual jog is much more easygoing.

I’ve been approached this way a couple times, but I’ve always had a boyfriend so it never went anywhere, but I always thought it was pretty brave of them to just come right up to a complete stranger.

Well, yeah, it really depends on how it plays out. If she’s in a hurry, if she’s receptive, etc.

I’m a woman. There are two ways this situation goes down. You run up to me and as you approach, slow down. Do not sprint towards me. Just a light jog as you get nearer. Do not reach out to touch me in any way, shape, or form, especially if you are approaching from behind. Smile, but not like overly smile. Just a normal smile. And just say something like “I don’t mean to bother you, but I couldn’t help but notice you as I passed. I’d like to take you out for coffee sometime if you’re interested.”…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
