Reddit response? Idk, everyone else is saying they're ok with it. And of course, if they have other sexual interests she should be free to pursue them. I shouldn't be a blocker

I'd break up with her. I had no idea she had a preference for something that's different from me, I think it's best I let her go find someone that fits her preference

Because it's not just about how much you make. It's the connotation that comes with the job and how society views it. You can make 200k as a plumber, but if you tell people "I'm a plumber", they'll think of Mario and you touching toilets or something, not the part where you make a shit load of money. In society, the prestigious jobs are doctors, lawyers, finance, etc. Another example I personally know is software engineers. I know a few of them making a load of money (500k+), but people are neve…

I believe there are a lot more single mom than there are dads because of the court system here

Not true, for one, money is less of a problem as you get older because your earning grows

Value is relative tho. If literally everyone is a millionaire, then it doesn't matter if you are. So my point is that in your 30s, there is more competition than in your 20s because more men become established, it's harder to stand out.

How about getting dates with women you're attracted to?

Re point 1: that means those guys took some options off the market too. So net difference is 0. Point 2: I think this is a good point, now you have options of women in their 20s + 30s whereas before it was only women in their 20s.

From quick google search: average age gap between couples is 2.3 years

It's not really about beauty since being fit is for all ages

My point is that it's harder to be valuable since more and more men establish themselves as they age

You already could in your 20s, so when compared that doesn't make it easier

To be honest I don't understand the "social skills" point. What does that even look like? Imo most people (my estimate at least 50%) are socially competent, to me meaning they can hold up conversations, can read social cues, don't say dumb socially unacceptable shit, etc, not sure if I'm missing something

Exactly my thought

Is it tho? When you're young, you're competing with people still in school. In your 30s, even if you're doing well, you're against higher earners and millionaires and for fewer options as well.

There's always competition, yes, but now it's even more competition, for fewer options as well

Well, the sexlessness stat by itself could mean different things. For one it could mean that they are dropping standards for casual sex. And women could be more desperate in that age group as pressured by their biological clock.

So if you didn't do well in your 20s, you wouldn't do any better in 30s either (in fact worse) since looks are mostly genetic

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
