One thing I've been finding useful is therapy. Not marriage therapy, but personal therapy to find out what makes you tick. I also found I was pushing past my comfort zone, until I redefined what it was I was doing. For example, I find small talk pointless. However, once it was reframed as a tactic to get to deeper talk, I was happier doing it. Just a little mental shift is all that is needed sometimes.

Great advice. Thank you. I've joined a gym. I'm talking to a therapist. I'm planning more trips away. These are things I don't usually do. And sorry to hear about your situation. I guess we eventually find new identities then look back on our old selves as "someone we used to know" I'm trying to stay focused on the day that happens.

Thankyou. Yes, it hurts to write and live through, too. You're right, I do have a chance for reinvention. One part of me is optimistic on that front.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
