Even if they understood the problem and where they went wrong, warning younger generations to do different would require admitting that they had made a mistake. And with the limitless hypoagency these cat ladies undoutedly have, it's unlikely they would admit that they made ANY mistakes, even if they COULD understand the problems that led to their solitude.

The rules of the sub say questions go to AskTRP, not here, not sure how quick the mods are about this but you should remove this and post your question on the sub made for questions

I believe Heartiste calls it "Insol" for "involuntary solitude"

I can't speak on what he did and did not present accurately, and my comment wasn't about the accuracy of his facts anyway. You said he repeats a "women are awful, poor men have to deal with them" narrative, but it seems to me that because he's presenting information with the tone of "here are some things you may not think about, but things that affect you all the same", but isn't including the "this is what you should do about it" afterwards, that may be why you think he's pushing that narrative…

I think /u/loneliness-inc is trying to reveal gaps in women's vision about issues that they may not see as issues or think they contribute to, but are issues all the same. Posts in TRP present the nature of women as knowledge, and use it to show why men are doing things wrong and how men should change. In a similar way, I think OP is trying to present issues and ideas women may not think about as knowledge, but the nature of his "back to the basics" series is to leave it at that, so the lack of …

That's a great way to keep yourself honest and remind yourself of your ultimate goal, I'll try to start implementing that in my own day to day life

I can see comfort approaching being something you need to work like a muscle, but confidence? I've been working on myself in a couple different ways, and I've made good progress, so my confidence is going up as a result of my growth. I'm not sure what you mean by exercising confidence

I can, I was more wondering about how the goals of "approach women" and "work on yourself" intersect, as opposed to how to do the two independently

I haven't thought of it like that, being someone that people want to be around, but that sounds like a good description of what it looks like when it all comes together. I'll check out those audiobooks, thanks!

Yeah that's how I've been trying to think of it, I have a checklist of things I want to improve (physique, meeting people, etc), and I just want to work on those for myself, and they HAPPEN to be what also help with women. I was drawn to TRP because I wanted to be better with women, and now I'm trying to do the mental work to make myself the goal, not them. Thanks for your reply!

As this post was coming to a close, I was thinking to myself "this is the dream, this is what I want to get out of TRP and out of myself". And the ending, as disappointed as it made my beta self, was an important reminder of a paramount rule, a rule I was forgetting as I started to hope things went well between you and her. AWALT

I hit 161 lbs this morning! I was 151 almost exactly a month ago, so I'm proud that I was able to work out so much this month and see so much progress :) Aiming for 165 by the end of May, if not more!

I'm an engineering student and I'm the same way! A big struggle I have in visualizing my interactions with women is I try to map it out like a problem, and think about what I need to solve it, but that just makes it infinitely complex when I start thinking about how she'll respond to this, and if I say that, blah blah blah That being said, I think it's helpful to not focus on any one interaction, and instead work on slowly getting better at the different aspects of conversation that I need so I …

Haha thanks, I know OP means well, but the example used is just too ridiculous, so much so that I can't focus on the message of the post

I don't think slaves decided to keep living the way they were, it was more that they literally couldn't do anything. There were plenty of rebellions from slaves, but not every plantation had a Nat Turner, and even then I don't think most rebellions achieved much, so the slaves just decided to try to make it until they were freed, which eventually happened I appreciate the message of this post, but equating "if you want more pussy then lift" to "if you want your freedom then fight" really trivial…

I've been practicing striking up conversations with some strangers, if I ever go anywhere to get food I'll talk to whoever's making it, and I'm naturally a pretty good conversationalist. I guess I should start trying to make conversation with people I have no tie to at all, just opening random people in public just to get used to those kinds of conversations Thanks for outlining the things I need to do as pieces, I'll definitely start working to put the "puzzle" together :)

This is a really good look at the social environment that pushes a lot of guys into MGTOW or TRP I'm a young guy who's starting to swallow the pill, and I'm doing it out of agonizing desperation and loneliness because I don't understand what I'm doing wrong (based on what I've been taught). This post helps explain the origin of so many dynamics and between men and women so well, dynamics I've had and wanted to have with women before, and how those dynamics have changed and accelerated to where w…

The idea of straight up introducing myself to a girl and having anything to talk about seems hard, but yeah it should get easy with practice, thanks!

Ohh okay, so when you approach you're looking to "open" the girl, I see the difference I get nervous around attractive girls (it sounds like I'm not alone on that) but with practice and patience I'll get better Thank you!

It pains me to think about how excited I was to get married not too long ago, and sometimes still want to be. The pill hurts to swallow, but I'd rather be aware of shitty truths than be ignorant and potentially get taken advantage of

Bless you /u/loneliness-inc, I'm new to this RP stuff and I haven't read a single thing of yours that wasn't eloquent and enlightening, and to top it off you're voicing views I didn't know I agreed with until I read them. Bless

When I was internalizing a lot of lessons and stuff to take away from my LTR break up I would meditate every day for like an hour or something, it was really helpful so I'll definitely get back into that, thanks

I've been able to gain good weight when I go to the gym for months and eat well, my consistency just always fades away once I see some gains and get complacent, which I'll definitely get through this time around. Speaking of social skills, what are good environments to work on that? I'd say I'm pretty socially adept, I'm good at banter and I'm very witty, and from what I've read it sounds like you need confidence and a quick wit to get through womens' shit tests, but my problem is I just get ner…

What do you mean by a hobby that creates value? My biggest hobbies currently are playing video games and watching anime, which I guess don't make much value, but I'm also into photography and editing, which does make value? Is the point of the value that I can show its value to others, or it makes lasting value to myself?

Beta incel here, but I understand the core of what TRP preaches, so I'll try to advise you You've worked on yourself with the goal of spinning plates and getting noticed by women, but your predicament is the reason that that's not the right mindset to have about it. The goal in getting bigger and becoming disciplined and whatnot is YOU, not getting pussy. Obviously you want pussy, but that's a secondary goal, and not as important as you becoming a better version of yourself. That should always b…

I've seen a lot of references to Rational Male, and a little to Pook, I'll definitely read them, thanks

Yeah it seems like I know what I need to do, now I just need time and discipline. It's easy for me to forget about pussy, that's how I've been able to stay sane as a beta incel, but it seems that actively not caring about it is how you attract it, which is counter-intuitive but makes sense if you understand how women work (thank you TRP)

Why is it bad to read TRP at work? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I've been reading it at my first internship and idk if that's bad

Hmm, I guess in my beta eyes it was dating? I have a really tight knit circle of friends, so it takes a lot for me to hang out with other people, and I guess I assumed the same was true for her, so I assumed attraction. But even with that assumption, I didn't act on it at all, I didn't know how . I guess it was wrong of me to think of it as dating, I've only ever had one girlfriend and we were best friends before hand, so I'm not very experienced in any aspect of this :/ You're right that I'll b…

She’ll probably cheat on you. You’ll probably cheat on her. It’s a rite of passage and a great learning experience. Yo what the fuck? I can see the argument for high school relationships being rites of passage, but cheating or getting cheated on is most certainly not. Do people cheat? Yes. If you get cheated on, should you learn as much from it as you can? Yes. Do you have to be cheated on to learn the same lessons? Hell no. I am a firm believer that pain is the best teacher, but that doesn't me…

I'm not going to get into the shitshow of my experience with my LTR from high school, but I'd advise against it because as girls hit their early 20s they'll realize how powerful it is to be able to entice boys with sex, and then any sort of LTR will just be seen as a roadblock to them being able to efficiently play the game. There are obviously girls and women who aren't like this, and you're welcome to try if you think the LTR could really last, but from my understanding an overwhelming majorit…

This is something I'm wondering about, if I say "I'm going to the bar, meet me at x", and she does come, it'll just be me and her, so can't she reasonably ask "were you going to come alone?" when we meet up?

Something that I mentioned in my last post about this girl that I didn't include in this one, is that we actually did date before. She said she saw us as "just friends", but going out to dinner a couple times, going to a movie, and having really long & fun conversations count as dating in my book. I bring this up because you said I should act like we've dated before, and this girl also went to my high school, so we have more than enough to TALK about, but I don't know how to get what I WANT out …

I'm definitely lacking in practice, but it seems like the way to get good at this stuff is just boldly go for different things, take note of what is and isn't working, and eventually you're just "good" I don't get much practice cuz I'm pretty unattractive, but hopefully all this lifting I'm starting to do will give me more chances to learn :/ Thanks!
/r/askTRP13/04/18 04:14 PM

Yeah practice is definitely what I'm lacking, the mentality aspect of it all isn't very new to me, I just get kinda nervous around girls I'm into because I don't know what I'm doing, but again that comes with practice Thanks for your help!
