While they can claim it, it can be easily defended against. Notice and independent counsel. So don't surprise em with a prenup moments before the ceremony. In fact, most states now allow post-nups, which allow for some items to be done which could not be done in a pre-nup. (Check your state laws please)

Since when is investing in human capital through grueling hours not improving oneself?
