It really feels like a betrayal, doesn't it? Just like in your situation though, one of the things on my side was the consistent positive reviews across the board about my willingness to teach and help. It showed that none of the accusers were being treated any differently. And you're right. Fuck teaching. They can all go to hell. A few bad apples spoiled the bunch. I may get criticized in the future for not doing the teaching I should, but at least there won't be any risk to my livelihood.

There's a pretty even gender split where I work. If I do this, it will get noticed. I'm going to have disengage from the male trainees just as equally to avoid any discrimination claims. Gender equality, amirite?

You're absolutely right, but /u/RandomAnecdote is a little right too. When texting is a part of acceptable communication in the work culture, it's hard to do away with it altogether. I think that /u/Questionablechoice has the right strategy. I'm going to start treating texting like a public, official, published document. There can't be any room for ambiguity in this kind of hostile setting.

Hmm, I guess I wasn't too clear explaining it. I had her number because she found mine out and texted me first. This wasn't a class. I was her supervisor, and it was my responsibility to make her look good. Again, this wasn't a class, it was a practical session with someone way up the chain, where her inattentiveness was being noticed and was costing her.

It doesn't have to be random wiring. It might have happened for very defined reproducible reasons. The point is that it is on the edges of the bell curve, and so can easily throw a wrench into otherwise true principles. And I'm sorry it's a boring explanation, but everything we are is a result of our brain's wiring. I mostly said it that way to bring this whole thing down to a level playing field: "my arbitrary wiring vs your arbitrary wiring" instead of "normal vs strange."

I don't think you have to go into too much detail. Most people's brains are built in a certain way. Sometimes someone's brain is different, and their sexual pleasure button gets connected to an unusual lever. I figure it's a "enjoy doing your thing, dude" kind of situation. When delving into red pill theory, we can just assume we're talking about the people that aren't like this, because otherwise you're opening yourself up to an infinite number of exceptions and special cases.

I genuinely wonder how far this is going to go. I mean, ideas have a way of filtering down towards the mainstream. And honestly, this stuff has like 90% of what makes religion so infectious: acknowledgement that the world is fucked up, and promises of a better life. It would be interesting to be part of the beginning of something like this if it filters out to the wider world. I wonder if the larger men's rights crowd is going to pick this up, or if like 15 years from now we're going to red-pill…
