People do not take violence seriously enough. Imagine if the genders were reversed. It’s unfortunate he wasn’t armed.

Yes. She has no memory of the event. Lol. It’s a typical Wednesday for her.

It wasn't pre-emptive. He actually waited as long as he could; he waited until her swing was in motion. If she had been a more athletic person and he waited that long, he would be the one knocked out or dead.

Nope. Forgot the part where she pointed the gun at him.

Sorry, but her starting fights is a bad thing, and him making money is a good thing. You can pretend like it doesn't matter, but it does. As far as "making" someone sleep on the couch, that sounds childish. Just leave them if they are that bad. I've never asked my wife to sleep on the couch; the person who is pissed chooses to sleep on the couch (or in my case, I go snuggle with my kids to make me feel better).

So, if there was no video footage, he's just fucked. Guilty and proven innocent.

I doubt this story. Are people really that dumb?

Your description doesn’t meet the “necessary” requirement. You don’t need to believe me. Look it up.

Sorry, that’s not how it works. You are allowed to resist an unlawful arrest, including the use of lethal force if necessary. You might argue that you shouldn’t in some circumstances, but you are dead wrong about the law.

Same shit, they aren't liable.

Cops being sent to check on people doesn't contradict what I said. The Supreme Court ruled that Police Officers do not have an obligation to help people. They can watch you bleed to death (and this happened many times) while waiting for paramedics to arrive and they aren't liable.

I agree. What if instead of a pregnant women it was a law abiding citizen who was armed and the police officer was asking for id w/ no suspicion of a crime and then illegally assaulting them when they didn't comply, even though you try to retreat peacefully, what then? Do you have the moral right to defend yourself?

Nope. The police aren’t obligated to help citizens. That’s already been decided in court.

Depends on a lot. If you want kids, I recommend marriage.

If the command was illegal should she still comply?

Umm...for what exactly? For not following police orders? It's not clear that there was suspicion of a crime here. We aren't required to follow police commands that are illegal btw. You actually have a duty not to.

Hmmmm...I'm going to push back on this. They say she was in the middle of the road and they were trying to keep her safe? But she left the road and they cop kept following her. She said on camera that they wanted information from her. What information and for what reason? All this over a j-walk it seems. If that's the case, then they had no right to even ask her name. If was in the road blocking traffic and acting crazy (which might be the case, but we don't know) then I would say they are justi…

How is this PPD? Based on the footage it seems like it’s abuse of authority. He could have just asked her to take her foot off the seat. I can’t even tell if he asked that from the video.

So true. My x-wife cheated and left when my son was nine months old. We did the 50/50 thing for a little bit, but she spiraled into drugs and partying. She ended up exposing my son to assholes. Eventually the dude she was with beat my son bad; he was three years old. She protected the fucker even after the court ordered that he not be around the kids. My son had night terrors for years after the incident. Anyhow, she only loved her kids when it was convenient. I got full custody of my son and sh…

Your gf’s reasoning assumes that the accuser is rational during the accusation. Often the false accusation is done in a moment of rage/jealousy and then they have to come up with the details after they have made their accusation.
