Interesting. I had no idea there was a professional side, and was thinking more of the personal, personality, or celebrity accounts. (which last time I visited seemed to comprise a vast amount of twitter users.)

While those aren't necessarily bad goals to have, the amount of obsession that goes into them from trp/pua communities is just unhealthy. It's all they think about. to the point where they start to believe there's only one right way to form a relationship with someone. Also giving people a number score like that is really messed up.

This might just have to be a storm you gotta ride out. You were able to draw up enough self awareness about it to say "This isn't who I am, I don't have to be like this." But your friend still believes he's found the cure all. Don't think of it as losing a best friend, he may come around. Just let him know you're there if he wants to talk, and in the meanwhile you just keep on being a stellar person.
