Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Great for women's self defense.

Second this. I can't imagine ever unlearning what I have read for the last year and a half. I see confirmation of it everyday.

Thanks for the reply GLO, big fan of your writing and your contribution here.

For me it was a combination of no contact, time, focusing on martial arts, spending time with good friends, and approaching other women. When you get excited about chasing down new girls, you will be in a much better headspace. You'll get through it, just stay the course.

This is one of the most spot on posts I have ever read on TRP in terms of how it describes my reality. I had a very similar situation happen to me at the start of August, starting to feel better about it now. It definitely is an invaluable learning experience, one that I won't ever forget. I am making extra efforts to ensure that I am performing at work, keeping up with my gym routine, and sticking with my Brazilian jiu-jitsu because I know that if I don't take direct action daily, I could be sw…

He means he doesn't give tacit approval and he doesn't have a problem telling people what's on his mind, which in today's day and age, makes you a piece of shit to some

Love the battery analogy... after five weeks of no contact my ex sent me a text wishing me good luck with my new job and stating that she is sure that I will do great in the city. I have no social media other than reddit so I have completely ghosted her and all her friends, they have no idea what I'm up to or if I even live in the area. It's ridiculous how predictable their behavior is post breakup. If you ignore them, they will come back. I can pretty much guarantee she's already branch swinged…

This was all in the last four months by the way. You can change your entire life in less than 90 days if you put in work everyday and listen to what your mind and body is telling you. Positive things WILL happen more frequently as you make continued progress.

Only way I have ever had success was cold turkey. I smoked a lot and was fed up feeling shitty. Smokes are nearly 20 dollars a pack where I live, so cigarettes are a rent payment every month. What really made me stop was starting Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I would recommend starting something that you enjoy that requires cardio.

Quit smoking, saved a lot of money, started BJJ, deleted all social media except for this reddit account, got a job working for the health minister of my province, gym 6x a week, am currently happier and stronger than I have ever been.

This is what happened when Lucia Rijker, a ferocious undefeated female fighter who dominated her sport, faced a journeyman Muay Thai fighter who never made an impact in his sport. https://youtu.be/X2QgDWSfQik

My father always told me that a confident person will take constructive criticism, but an arrogant person will make excuses or go on the offensive.

When you see her tell her you have zero tolerance for deception and that you saw her look at your name in the block list and carry on as if nothing was wrong. Don't let her make a fool of you. This will send a message to her and all of her friends that would otherwise think you were an idiot. I'd end things now that I have had time to think about your situation, the fact that she said nothing about your name being in the block list speaks volumes.

I would imagine that girls use Snapchat to share all sorts of their debauchery

Then she's putting stuff on there she doesn't want you to see. You can check her snapchat score I guess to find out how big of a social media whore she is. I think you get a point for every picture or message.

Actually now that I re read your story, apparently you saw her see your name on the block list and she was unaware of this and said nothing until you brought it up. That points to deception even if it was a mistake to put you on the block list, which would be a hell of a long shot for that to happen by accident anyways.

There's a chance it could have been a mistake, but I have a feeling most people here will tell you that she is hiding something. I don't know how Snapchat works, so I don't know how easily she could have added you to her block list instead of someone else if that was her intention. If I was you, I'd let this one slide but keep your eyes open.

Here is a quote from the article by Lucy DeCoutere - "Then, she pulled out a collection of six pieces of pink paper I hadn’t seen in almost 15 years. I asked to have a few seconds to read it and she said: “Oh, we’re going to go through this line by line.” She asked me to read four words I couldn’t believe I had written: “I love your hands.” It was heartbreaking. If you read the letter, it has this sort of apologetic tone running through it – like I was trying to make up for something, like I was…

Absolutely. I have been following this case. I read an article by Lucy DeCoutere, the sole accuser who's name is not under a publication ban, and what you described is exactly the situation. DeCoutere recalls with confidence so many lurid details about Ghomeshi, the alleged assault, and everything else... but she claims with absolute certainly that she did not remember writing the love letters, which stated things such as "you kicked my ass last night and that makes me want to fuck your brains o…

A girl I went to high school with was born into a wealthy family who owns a construction company and hundreds of rental properties/real estate (on her father's side, her mother's family came from very little). When I first met her, her last name was a hyphenated combination of her mother and then her father's last name. As soon as she was 17, she dropped her mother's last name, as her father's last name is synonymous with prestige and business acumen in the area.
