Has it reduced your refractory period? That’s one thing I’d like to fix and get back what I was able to do in my 20s.

Going through this now, and I can’t take it, so I’m moving out. We’re still cordial but she’s going out every weekend with her new guy and I just can’t deal with that.

I’m going to disagree that this is normal behavior in the west. Good women, regardless of religion, don’t bring a revolving door of men home to be around their child. A significant risk for childhood abuse comes from step-parents and non-parental partners. Good parents recognize this and protect their children.

Benjamin Seda on YT just dropped a video on approach anxiety. You should watch it. https://youtu.be/9x-OxC6kAKQ?si=eoT7RoiogYh57SRS

Call every single divorce lawyer in your area and ask for a consult, then do the consult. Once you have done that she won't be able to use that lawyer.

As was mentioned, don’t go in with expectations. You need the mindset of you are evaluating THEM to see if they fit in YOUR world. You know you and your buds tease each other? Do that, but tone it down a little bit. Act the same way with them as you would with your buds, don’t tone down your personality to try and impress them. A conversation trick, when talking with them ask a question. Ask a follow up question. Then make a confirmation statement that you listened and understood what she told y…

I’m not sure how certain, which of course is a big source of anxiety. I’ve told her I want to work things out. But she mentioned how we would split up, so she’s definitely thinking about it more seriously. It’s really frustrating because she puts minimal effort into communicating with me, but she’s texting the gym-bro 40x per day. She’s told me it’s not romantic/sexual(but doesn’t know I’m tracking the texting), and honestly I kind of believe her. But of course with that activity, I can’t know u…

I’m in the world is crashing down around me stage, but I’m 30 years older than you. Thank you for a sliver of hope for my future.

Because of the kids, you’re not an idiot. You’re a good man, and a good dad.

I hear you. I've got a herniated L5/S1 and it doesn't take much to aggravate it. I've kept my squat and deadlift at somewhat low weights in order to protect my back. I'm currently benching more than my squat , lol.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I'll look into setting up therapy.

Thanks. I had an enforced absence myself last week after tweaking my back on deadlifts, but I got back to it Saturday. I'll have 3-4 weeks off before I have to return to work and plan to get in the gym as soon as I'm back as well. I don't think she'll be really nasty to me, but it's definitely gong to be super weird, since she doesn't know that I know about the texting. I'm also anxious about wanted to see her phone obviously and because I've never had reason to get in her phone before, whenever…

Thank you. I've been trying to tell myself this, but it's ringing hollow in my head. Like I said, I'm definitely signing up for therapy/counseling one way or the other when I get back.

Oh, i get it, and it's a tremendous source of anxiety, resentment and anger right now. But like I said, I'm almost certain she hasn't done any overnights at his place, cause the kids would have let me know. She's been out of town and it was obvious from their texting that he wasn't with her. Like I said in the post, I have really dug into their texting like NCIS looking for patterns. So, maybe I'm wrong and their fucking their brains out every day, but I'm just not seeig it.

This part is really not an issue because I'm in the Guard. We have separate bank accounts, with just one joint account for bills. Financially we're not hurting and she's very frugal when it comes to money, so I don't see her doing anything to hurt me that way. Maybe I'm being naive, but I don't actually see her doing anything to intentionally hurt me outside of the emotional shitstorm she's causing. We've got 3 young kids together that if we divorce we are going to have to co-parent for the next…

Yeah, I didn't put in my post, but we have 1 adult stepson(lives at home), 2 in high school and 1 in middle school. I think the hardest thing, is that I can't get any resolution one way or another until I get back in about 4 weeks.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
