It's pretty much always been this way. People who use dating apps do so because they find it hard or otherwise unable to meet people in real life. The hot, attractive women out there are not on dating apps as they're being hit on at work, at the mall, at the grocery store, at the gym, etc. They don't need a dating app.

If you've never gone skydiving in your life, do you expect to magically wake up as an expert one day? It's the same with socializing and talking to girls. There's no magic skill that will turn you from an introverted social cripple to a chad in a day. You need to expose yourself to social situations so that you can build up your knowledge of how they work. That doesn't mean immediately trying to pick up girls. Instead, just start talking to people in class or around campus. Create reasons to han…

Personally I train MMA (Thai boxing and BJJ), as well as just recently starting training Judo, which I actually really love. I highly recommend training some sort of martial art. It definitely empowering, but also understand that the goal of training isn't to make you into not a "nice guy". It will definitely help stay cool and confident in potential conflicts, but I also know a lot of guys who train who are totally aggressive and overly angry types. If you aren't normally cool and collected, MM…

And do you not also use looks to judge and rate the women you're attracted to? How is that regression? We, as a species, have literally always judged each other based on looks as a way of determining good or bad genetics for breeding. It's human nature. Stop being a loser, take a fucking shower and get out of your moms basement. Maybe you'll learn how to get pussy then.

Are you saying women aren't worth the effort? Cause if you are, fuck, man, it's not that hard to get laid or date a decent woman. If you're too lazy to put in even the minimal amount of effort required to date decent women, why are you on this sub?

I was Army for a while. Was recce and ended up pretty injured after a while, so I got out. Went to college, got a degree, and now manage a team of loss prevention officers. Currently about to put in my application for my local police department. On the topic of being an LPO, though, I actually really enjoy it. I can essentially do my own thing, don't have anyone bossing me around at a personal level, and don't have tl socialize if I don't want to. Plus slapping handcuffs on people is pretty damn…

I've trained mma for quite a while, and gym was always a vital part of that. You need to be smart about your gym training, sure, but it is necessary to increase strength and conditioning.

Just stop giving her attention, and start chatting up other girls. If she starts to ask why or get upset, just tell her that if she's enjoying attention from other guys, then you'll be doing the same.

Dude, being a virgin is only important until it's not. Don't make virginity such a big deal. Sex is infinitely better once two people have experience with it.

Let your insurance handle it. Generally, if it's your fault and the other party still wants to handle it "without involving insurance", its because their insurance is fucked or something. Your insurance won't go up by that much for your first accident.

The answer is 99% of the time, no. They are there to look pretty and bring the club money from socially awkward rich guys. I know this because I used to date one. She would tell me stories of how rich guys would try to pick her up all the time, and she would just milk it for good tips. Never bothered me, I didn't give a shit because at the end of the day I was the one fucking her. If you want to get their attention, I'd recommend to not try to flaunt your wealth or come off as a high-roller - th…

Training MMA, or any combat sport, does several things for you. First of all, you have the physical aspect. It will make you more fit, tone and strengthen your body, and make you a kickass fighter. You will learn physical descipline, and condition your body to be much better at handling physical stress. Secondly, and more importantly, there are mental benefits. Primarily, knowing you can beat the shit out of the majority of guys you might come across will help to instill an alpha male mentality.…

I don't see too many people saying this, but honestly the best thing you can do right now is shed that weight before you start to lift. Having that fat is not the same as "bulking up". Focus intensely on improving your diet and eating healthy. Track your macros. Weight loss happens primarily in the kitchen. Once you've got that underway, start with moderate intensity cardio exercise. Things like speed-walking, rowing, and even swimming. With the weight you're carrying right now, some exercises t…

Stop treating her like a child, man. She was well aware of everything she was doing and how it would affect you if you found out. She hid it from you because she knew it was wrong, and therefore if she knew it was wrong then there is only her to blame. You are not going to save her, and you are not going to chang who she is. The only thing that will happen is you will get hurt. We all had shitty childhoods man. My father left when I was growing up, and I lived in a shitty home. You know what I d…

I'm gonna start off by saying that I get it. I've been where you've been. Not that I've ever dated someone that's been an escort, etc. No. But I have been cheated on, and manipilated, and it sucks. But, here's the thing. You're not worse off now. I know it seems like you are somehow worse than when you were with her, but that's false. That is your body reacting to change. What is scary is that you almost married that lying piece of shit. You should thank your lucky stars that you dodged that bul…

My fourth day is my conditioning day, so I do a mix of bodyweight and high rep exercises, mixed with some cardio. Then rest day and repeat.

I train MMA 2-3 days a week for 3 hours each, and lift 4 days a week doing a PPL routine. Think of MMA as a primarily cardio based workout. It's all about endurance, and so when you train in the gym, you have to keep that in mind. I train mostly for strength, and just do my 5x5 power lifts with some accessory work thrown in there, and I've seen some definite gains over the past while I've been training. The key to not tiring yourself or fatiguing your muscles too much to get a good pump is diet.…

To be honest, unless you have been going for a long time, not really. The majority of the people I trained with when I did it were very good at self defense tactics like escaping chokes, defending from knives, etc... but couldn't throw or dodge a punch to save their life. I'm not knocking krav maga, its a really awesome system, but my honesy advice is if you're going to take it, make sure you have a solid base in boxing or muay thai before hand.

I've done a lot of martial arts in my life, including 4 years of krav maga. Honestly, take boxing and judo and stick with it. Krav maga is cool and there's a lot of good stuff in the system, but a lot of it isn't applicable to your average street fight. If you know how to throw good, solid punches, and you can throw a guy or choke him out, your good to go.

Don't get angry. Just ask him calmly "are we going to talk about why you're acting like a bitch these past few days?". If he plays it off like he doesn't know what you're talking about, then just say "okay" and then cut him off. In my experience, guys really only hold grudges towards other guys for one reason, and thats prolonged jealousy. Nothing you can do to fix that.

Can't stress what u/fnordsnord said enough. I'm not a psychiatrist, but I was a psych major with a bit of training in counselling. One of the major symptoms of depression is feeling as if nothing you do is going to make you feel better, and so there is no point in trying. This is what's called an illogical or maladaptive thought. It's incredibly hard to see or think differently when you're dealing with these maladaptive thoughts or behaviours, because your brain thinks it is the only way it shou…

Really poorly posted, my guy. You're gonna need to give us a lot more information about your situation. Why is this guy talking to you in the first place? What is he doing that is bothering you? What have you done already to try and stop it? What do you mean by mental illness? Details, buddy, or no one will help you.

I'm glad I got something right. If that's the case then, there's nothing really wrong with you. Everyone wishes they would have done things differently. Even little changes could have made vast differences in what our lives would be like now. But, the fact of the matter is you can't. The past is the past, and no matter how hard we try, nothing will ever change. We must learn from the past, recognize our mistakes and not repeat them. Use the lessons we learned in the past to create a more success…

Would you describe it as fleeting periods of panic/anxiety? Do you feel overwhelmed by it? Or is if more of a subdued feeling of frustration/anger? You could be experiencing some form of panic attack or anxiety. It's not uncommon for anger to manifest during periods of panic/anxiety. Have you experienced any sort of distress recently (ie. Breakup, some form of trauma/injury, or a lot of stress)? These things can trigger bouts of anxiety. If that's the case, it's basically an overactive parasympa…

I'm not a dedicated red-piller, and only casually browse the subreddit, but having a degree in behavioral/clinical psychology, maybe I can help. I'm not too sure what the anger "phase" is in regards to this sub, but emotions are natural and they come and go; anger is one of them. The trick is finding an appropriate outlet for your emotions. For instance, when you're happy and in a good mood, if is common to want to express this by going out, meeting friends, being social, etc... Anger needs an o…

This. I did Krav Maga for years and can vouch for its effectiveness, having had to defend myself on more than one occasion. However, it is not an end all self-defense system. One thing I noticed is that it does not do a good job of teaching basic striking. Coming from a MMA background, when I started sparring with others in Krav Maga, their ability to hit and not get hit was very limited. Therefore, I would say combine Krav Maga with some boxing (very cheap to start) or some muay thai (a bit mor…

You didn't really provide an example or more information of what the rumour was, so I'll give you a pretty broad answer. Unfortunately, reputations are one of those things that only time can fix. There are, in reality, three approaches you can take. If you attempt to stand up and desperately tell everyone the rumour is wrong or false, you'll just appear like you're trying to cover it up. It'll make it funnier for everyone else, and you'll get no where. Even if people truly believe that it is fal…

I'd say invite her friend out for a coffee and to sit down and talk (make sure you say talk so she doesn't think you're asking her out). Start with some light small talk, but then don't doddle around the question. Ask her directly and catch her off guard. Tell her that you know she's your gf's friend, and she wouldn't want to rat her out. But also tell her that it's been ruining your mood for months, and you need to known the truth, even if it ends in a breakup. When you are asking her the quest…

From a psychological perspective, he's most likely very self-conscious and insecure. It explains why when he's alone with you, he is perfectly normal and nice. It's because he doesn't feel insecure around you. Around your friends, however, he most likely feels very self-conscious, and his need to be liked takes over. In that way, when he insults you or makes jokes about you to your friends, he is attempting to elevate his social position to one above yours, therefore gaining approval and accepta…

There seems to be a pretty blatantly obvious answer here... Just tell your brother? It seems like everything you have written down here, you should tell your brother about. Tell him that you do not like his girlfriend, and that you yourself are done helping with her shit while receiving no gratitude in return. Explain to him that although he doesn't see it (or maybe he does), the relationship is not healthy and you are trying to get him out of it while he is young and able to find a better, heal…

Should I try to painstakingly form social skills and go for straight alpha or rather just improve what I already have, i.e the tall strong silent type and take the 'confident to the point of silence' approach? That's up to you. Remember though, being the strong silent type doesn't mean that you aren't alpha. I think the main problem you're having is you're putting the pussy on the pedestal, so to speak. Like /u/Dzuari said as well, stop going up to the girls with the intention of trying to sleep…

Never get defensive or upset, they win. It definitely takes some practice to get witty, and come up with come-backs fast. A. "Jimmy is a 2/10", "Really? Well that's still 2 whole points above you!". My go-to response is usually to redirect the insult towards her. The trick is to not think too much about the come back, and also to not say it in an angry or upset manner. Keep it light, as if it's a playful jab. She'll have no reason to get upset, but in her head she'll be thinking "does he actuall…

Like /u/abdada said, keep it regulated and on a schedule. If it becomes more like a routine, and not a 'thing', you decrease the risk of falling back into a relationship. Personally, I think once a week or two is fine, so long as you have some other tail in between. Also, getting with other women will keep you preoccupied, and you won't have to think so much about what she's doing (prevent catching feelings). Remember, if things don't go as planned, or you aren't happy, keep it loose. Don't be a…

Exactly. Was just browsing through this sub and came across this, made me wonder why no one's gotten this yet... When a girl says shit like that, it's for two reasons. One, she's not interested in you, and telling you that you have a small dick is her way of saying fuck off. This isn't likely considering she's already interested in you. The second reason is that she's trying to provoke you. Insulting your dick size while you're fucking is like the ultimate shit test, and to handle it smoothly an…
