Sorry not sure I understand. You said "a lot of" kids were being given hormone blockers, but not enough to warrant it being tracked or studied? If it's an issue, no matter how big or small, why would collecting data be a negative thing? As for 'how facts work', I think you got confused. The fact that children are being given hormone blockers is not being disputed as a fact. Your opinion that it is happening 'a lot' is what's being contested as a nonfactual.

Until you have data or a source, it is only your perception or opinion. That's how facts work. I read more of your comments in this thread and your perception mainly seems to be based on media you've viewed. It might be worth considering that recently the whole trans thing became a trendy controversy in the news, which may be contributing to your perception of it being more common. Or maybe not. We don't know because we don't have facts.

I see, you could avoid the ambiguity by speaking with less authority. Simply adding "I think/feel" before the statement, since it's your perception and not fact. Not saying your perception is right or wrong, just commenting on how it was presented.

In my experience, I found that a midwife was a great help in ensuring a father is as fully included as possible in the pregnancy and birth process. They will strongly advocate for skin to skin with both parents, and can also make sure everything is going medically according to plans/wishes so you can focus on the moment and your partner instead. Having a midwife in the hospital is a nice kind of middle ground between modern and traditional ways of having kids.

I think the logic behind these rulings is not that the mother deserve child support, but that the child deserves it...even if it was conceived under what should be criminal means. Personally I'm not sure this is the right solution, or if there even is a good solution. If the biological father is not providing finances, then it would be on tax payers through welfare. You can say "well the woman should pay" but if she can't or won't (after all, she is the type to steal a man's sperm, wtf), a child…

Abandoning a baby at a safe drop, and abandoning a baby with one parent are different situations. If a woman abandons a baby with the father, she would be expected to pay child support, just as a father must if he abandons the baby with the mother. If a woman leaves a baby at a safe drop, and the father wants the baby, he can get it back (if he knows the baby exists, which is a whole other complex issue).

It's not for any benefit of the woman. It is 100% to prevent babies from being killed and/or abandoned. So it's not exactly a"benefit" women get over men.
