Since all of those things are naturally occurring phenomenon, I'd say computers are 100% natural, as are constitutions & plastics. "Made by humans" isn't necessarily synonymous with unnatural, it's just often taken to mean that in ordinary language, which is terribly imprecise.

Variation exists. Basically every human traits has a spectrum. For a majority of women, you'd expect a female gender role to exist. And likewise for men. But majority doesn't mean everyone.

99.999999% of people don't live in reality if you're looking at it from a binary perspective. If you're looking at a graduated scale, a sliding scale, I'd say RPers are a touch above average. (Seeing reality would make you God, like Jesus.)

Roughly 30% of young men are virgins. So at least a third of us have nothing to do with hookup culture to any degree, not even a toe in the pool. How many women can say that? (Thats ignoring all the guys who touched 1 woman once.) Men want to fuxk, women want to fuxk. But it's women doing all the choosing, and they choose from a teeny-tiny pool of guys. Guys would love to be involved in Hookup culture, they're just unable to.

85% rent // 8% food. Basically buy nothing. If I do get any money, I put it in a brokerage, where I have enough saved to the point I could stop working for a decade at this low rate of cash-burn. I'm basically a hermit. Spend all my time at home. Playing videogames, studying philosophy, contemplating God. And it's relatively cheap here in downtown Eugene, OR.

If men and women have psychological and physiological differences, then prescribing different behavior isn't inherently hypocritical. "Hookup culture" is just women being women. Maybe 5% of men participate. So don't go blaming TRP for the invention of birth control.

Don't wanna dig up old tax returns, but probably about 4k in 2014, 5k-6k for 2015, 5-6k for 2017, etc etc. Nice bump u to 30k in 2019, but this year I'm on track for about 6 again.

Thia thread isn't for me (I'm married), but in my monastic lifestyle, my income is pretty far under 25k. Think I earned 25k in total between 2014 and 2019.

Answer #1: Red pill folks have their feet in reality more than blue pilled folks. I'd guess that on average, over a long enough period of time, you're better off with someone who can see reality. Answer #2: Guys who don't understand female nature will make "blue-pill mistakes" in how they treat women. TRP, as a tool, probably has the potential to improve the health of relationships... even though most people seem to use that tool for nothing but tricking women into having sex... that doesn't mea…

Another one is delusional people might outbreed people who aren't delusional, which would make being not delusional maladaptive, full stop. (See: autistic people.)

Another one that comes to mind is suicide. I strongly suspect that if people could see themselves a little more objectively, it would probably shoot-up the suicide rate. That also seems maladaptive, full stop.

The thing that comes to mind first is ingrouping and out-grouping. Thats a pretty essential part of humans, we've got to determine who gets finite resources, and maybe an integral part of biology-dna itself, since the game being played by DNA is picking and choosing genes for fitness. In other words, ingrouping and out-grouping might be indispensable. My suspicion is they're also the basis of a lot of hypocrisy, because the very point of an ingroup is that you're biased in its favor, and the ver…

I think we're probably hypocrites by design, i.e. nature made us that way as a survival mechanism. That being the case, its likely maladaptive to not be a hypocrite.( I'd be glad to discuss this with you at length if you're interested.)

This is slightly off-topic, but I find it amusing that determinism is impermissible, considering it's a legit philosophy & (on my reading) at the very core of every religion, whether people recognize it or not. For instance, those who follow advaita vedanta embrace determinism, are they all a bunch of incels? Is the Christian claim "God has all power" incel logic? Apparently it is. But the fact of the matter, OP, is that humans are hypocrites by nature. Almost nobody believes in anything but the…

The problem here is that "historically" means you're looking at the last 10,000 years (since agriculture), while with biology we're looking at the last 200,000 years. You're probably right about women's disposabilry increasing somewhat in the last 10k, but in the eyes of evolution, 10k years is almost nothing. We didn't evolve under agricultural conditions, we evolved prior to agriculture and prior to all our known histories.

Flirting is common to one gender, making it cheap to them. I'm not poorly socialized merely because nobody does it with me.

Personally, I find it amusing to see right-wing folks in the red pill. I'm a libertarian socialist (bottom left in political compass), and I appreciate the diversity of having different sets of values and beliefs to co-mingle with. I don't agree with everyone I come across, but they introduce me to new ideas and perspectives. So as long as I'm able to keep my head out of my ass, being around them can be invaluable for learning and growth.

Birth control was probably the most significant invention of the 20th century. Maybe tied with nukes. It just about made us into into new species, and that has unimaginably enormous consequences for centuries to come. Whether or not it'll be a good thing or not is open to interpretation (again, like nukes.) But I can easily see a case for it being a species-threatning disaster (again, like nukes.) I don't know if the destruction of the nuclear family will be good or bad, but I do know monogamous…

Ye. From the little I've heard, some folks believe that war is a relatively new phenomenon, one that came about after the invention of agriculture (wealth) about 10,000 years ago. Prior to that we were likely adverse to killing each other because our lives were more valuable than any piece of land, and we frankly had no reason to have slaves in a pre-wealth world.

There's some kind of evo-psych explination/hypothesis to that effect. To grossly paraphrase, women have more to lose by betting on guys who aren't serious, while men have more to lose by not taking every glance as a suggestion she wants to fuck. (So over hundreds of thousands of years, men who over-approxinated female interest in them out-bred the ones who didnt, and the pickier women out-competed the less picky ones.)

Disposable (in reference to biology) means men arent as important to keep alive. Because men aren't the bottleneck when it comes to reproduction. If 80% of men died out, the species would be fine, and your tribe would bounce back in a generation. If 80% of women died, it would threaten the extinction of the species & tribe. Men are also more variable (higher and lower intelligence, more risk taking, etc.) Higher variability requires higher disposability, since not all experiments are a success. …

Bootstrap theory hinges on a belief in free will. The fact of the matter is that personality attributes like immoderation are overwhelmingly heritable, and can only be nudged a few degrees in either direction. This should be easy enough for people to swallow, but some people have a strong need to feel superior to others (another heritable trait) which inclines them into believing their successes are entirely their own.

Actually, men are wired to overestimate interest from women while women are wired to underestimate male interest. (Can't remember sources on this one, sorry.)

Ive read that two or three times and don't follow any of it, sorry. (The last bit is most confusing, since I don't believe in free will, trying to blame women doesn't sound like me.)

Ah, philosophy. My favorite. There are actually some claims you can make "without experience." And our experience can serve to screw up our perceptions, making it detrimental at times. What's supposed to prevent that from happening is the fair application of reason. But if your ego gets bruised, your reason tends to get bruised as well. I'm generally sympathetic to the OPs message. People often make the mistake of over-applying reason when it comes to empirical questions. But we also make the sa…

Is a good point, agriculture changed things up. But the general trend in biological life for the past few hundred million years has been 500 females reproducing per male (the approximate average across all species.) Prior to that it wasn't as pronounced, it's a relatively new trend in the evolution of life.

For something to be an ideology, it has to contain normative claims about how things SHOULD be. For instance, Marxism is an ideology because it supposes humans shouldn't go around enslaving each other. I'm not aware of any normative claims related to the redpill, only descriptive ones. Applying the label of ideology appears to be a rhetorical device intended to construe an analytical tool as a system of belief, because beliefs are easier to dismiss than facts. This form of intellectual dishonest…

Men are the disposable sex. Nature expects a majority of us to die without reproducing. That's by design. Devations from that norm are atypical & probably lack longevity. Our DNA tells the whole story. Roughly 90% of every woman to ever exist has reproduced. For men, it's under half. Someone who looks at that and concludes men & women are on even ground is someone with willful ignorance. In my opinion, guys in the bottom 30% should go MGTOW. It's not that they're incapable of "winning", but ther…

Spent 2018 in complete isolation. No conversations with other humans, no interactions for roughly one year. (But "none" I don't mean few, I mean none.) By the end of that year, I noticed some "creepy" behavior start to take root. I wasn't suicidal or anything, but I did feel my mind starting to melt into a spooky space. Feel pretty confident if I'd kept on that course, I'd have started heading towards being another Elliot Rodger. Agree with you that it largely boils down to self worth, but it ca…

Ye good pt. Back in the day, I was like the 600th best Overwatch player on the planet. That would grant me status among a certain crowd who cared about an ability to blast someone with a mouse, and no status whatsoever among others. There are some status things that are ALMOST universal (like cash, or popularity), but not many.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 05:40 PM

I think status boils down to public perception & authority. So money grants status since people recognize money as a form of authority-power. But status only exists because people believe it exists. The moment you find a person who doesn't care about your money, the status is gone. It's basically a hierarchy game played by people who are utterly obsessed with hierarchy, which includes virtually all humans.

Gladiators were supposedly pretty good at attracting high status women, even ones with fucked up faces. (Hell, a great predictor of success with women is being a violent gang member.) Don't think people are oblivious to this, tho. I see people point to Danny Devito a lot.

Lol, you're so mean bro. There's a subtle difference between not having evidence & having a model. I dont have evidence that John Smiths donation to the Red Cross was motivated by a desire to be seen as generous, but I might have a model that suggests thats fair guess worthy of investigation. Hope that makes sense, sry for not being clearer.

I'd probably start by looking through the biases men have (in favor of women) and contrast them to the biases women have against men. That wouldn't prove anything, but it would provide a theoretical framework to put together a good hypothesis. Suppose is be tempted to look at gender-specific disease funding to see how that checks out. Iirc we over-under women and underfund men.

Women dismiss men's problems because they have much stronger ingroup biases & generally are wired to view men with more disgust, or view them as violent monsters. Ironically, men are also wired with biases for women, so men don't really care about men's problems, either. (Especially since we lack that strong ingroup bias.) To a lesser degree, the problem is women are unable to accept their lives are comparably on easy mode. Would take a lot of ego-squishing to be able to accept a truth like that…

Men grade women's appearances and a standard distribution bell curve appears, with most women being 5s (average), then an even number on each of the extremes. Does not work that way for females. Women rate roughly 80% of men as below average. Most of women's problem with beauty standards are entirely in their heads. They punish themselves mentally about 500x more than men do.
