I am not saying literally putting clothes on makes you inherently more confident. If you hate yourself and believe nobody will ever like you, no amount of drip will ever make that an attractive trait. But dressing in a way that makes YOU feel that YOU are trying to improve YOURSELF, can be an exercise in confidence building. Is 2/10 not greater than –10/10 still?

Why not both? Why would a woman think a well dressed but out of shape guy is even uglier than an out of shape and shitty dressed guy? They arent mutually exclusive. Get in shape, be your best self, dress in clothes that make you feel confident. You can do all of these things simultenously.

I think dressing intentionally can give you confidence. It can show YOU that care about yourself, and you are willing to put time and effort into what you look like. It can be an act of self care. It isnt about becoming more attractive, or wearing gucci, but in showing that you care about yourself enough to care about what is on your body. It isnt the whole equation, but it has helped me. If it hasnt helped you, that is ok too.

I dont know if "feminism" itself teaches that men aren't to be initially trusted, does it? Every woman in my life has been sexually assaulted or harassed by men and if you asked, you would probably find something similar. It is extremely common sadly. good hygeine (brush your teeth, floss, wash your hair, skin care, deoderant, cut your nails, haircut, ...) dress well (check out r/malefashionadvice) be active. You dont need to be super buff or built, but it helps to just be someone that is decently in shape. love yourself. Nobody will ever like you or be attracted to you if you hate yourself or think you arent someone worth meeting or spending time with be yourself. Know what you like, know your own beliefs, your own values, your own desires, …

Not if you do it right!! Ill-fitting ≠ oversized. If the piece is intentionally designed to be oversized I say go for it. I suggest Tim Dessaint's videos on oversized fits

Watch Tim Dessaint's earlier youtube videos. Watch Modest Man. Look at the Basic Bastard thread of r/males fashion advice Look up men's fashion, pick out the ones you like for inspiration. Ask yourself what you like about that outfit. The fit? The color? The layers? The fabric? Start slow.

Check Tim Dessaint's videos on color theory, color palettes, ... You can never go wrong with colors like: navy, black, gray, khaki, olive green, brown, white, etc. Try color palettes like: monochrome (gray, black, white), all black, earth tones (green, brown, khaki), base color with accent (ex. all black with red pop). Look up "color theory fashion", monochrome outfits, etc.

Nothing wrong with that style! I think you can play around a bit to look super put together and intentional with a simple outfit if you want more though. You can play around with cuffing pants, tucking shirts in, accesories, cool materials, nice color combinations (monochromatic is a VIBE), cool shoes, high quality fabrics, ... You dont need to wear loud patterns or crazy pieces to have drip.

I honestly think jeans and a t-shirt is just basic on its own. Not fashionable, but it can seem put together at least. Gives me super dad vibes, which is cool if that's what you're going for, but not great. If you want new pants, try to branch out to Chinos perhaps, everlane has good ones. Fashion can pop out with small details. A cool watch, a cool color palette, a cool contrast of lounge wear (sweat pants) with formal wear (a long wool coat), or things like this. Good luck man

H&M is very hit or miss on quality. The shirts are super shitty quality and fall apart. Invest in nice clothes. $20-$30 might seem a lot for a t-shirt, but if it lasts you years then it is worth it. Try uniqlo or everlane for simple but very high quality pieces.

Also, fit can be played with. But if you aren't into fashion at all yet, maybe start with well fitting clothes. A cool designed chunky sneaker or oversized tee, or wide legged pair of pants can be awesome if you do it right.

Check everlane or uniqlo. Men's clothes are actually generally nicer quality than womens'. Invest in good quality clothes that fit. Hell, buy used clothes on Grailed or at thrift stores. Good male fashion looks at fit, colors, shape, layers, proportions, etc. A white t-shirt and black pants can look super classy if you do stuff as simple as tucking your shirt in and wearing well fitting pieces. You don't need to be fashion forward to look nice. It is super attractive to see someone dress fashion…

Please please please watch Tim Dessaint on YouTube, preferably his older videos if you are new to fashion. I have been following mostly his advice, and I get compliments from girls and guys on my outfits. I feel great and confident too bc of it. My style is minimalistic, and everlane is a great, affordable, and high quality brand for me. Uniqlo is also good. Start small

Maybe I'm missing the point of this subreddit entirely, but what about treating her like an actual human being? Not a thing that "gives you head".
