Total payout during divorceShe slept with someone else and gets 900k of my retirement. In some universe I guess that makes sense | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/06/26 03:26 PM
I am terrified of having sex going forwardI found that actually having a small conversation with the woman helped. “Hey I feel really good about this but please understand I’ve only been with one partner for the last 6 years…so let me know what you like and don’t like.” It really helps take the tension off and lets you tune into what she likes. Focusing on her made it easier on me. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/05/26 05:48 PM

What do I want from dating? Maybe sex, but I think positive reinforcement more.I agree if we are talking your entire self worth. We’re talking about wanting positive feedback from someone you’re sharing a life with. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/05/26 12:36 AM
What do I want from dating? Maybe sex, but I think positive reinforcement more.If I learned anything from this group it’s that anything can happen. Don’t give up! | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/05/26 04:51 PM
What do I want from dating? Maybe sex, but I think positive reinforcement more.I actually bought a couple of slightly more form fitting polos, and a woman around my age at an attorney’s office said “that shirt looks good on you”. And I got butterflies!! I’m like holy shit ONE nice compliment makes me feel like I’m 18 again! That might be a little sad to admit but it is what it is. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/05/26 04:48 PM

The absurdity of lawyersYes very true, I learned to only say things to her that are absolutely necessary. No more niceties! | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/05/26 02:25 AM
The absurdity of lawyers😂 that was actually my first thought; what if there were TWO lawyers going back and forth? I know that answer because a client of mine who owns 12 McDonalds got a divorce that took 5 years. They fought over the dumbest things and both paid almost 7 figures to their attorneys. Absolute craziness. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/05/26 02:22 AM
May I ask what led to your divorce?Everything in our life overwhelmed her. Simple things. What I found that to mean is she has uncontrolled anxiety and only blames the external source that triggers it. I tried like crazy to fix all those “things”. But anxiety will always find something else to trigger it. I didn’t stands a chance. Without her owning her condition all she can figure out to do is run from it, not deal with it. It’s heartbreaking. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/05/26 12:19 AM
