Excellent idea... bring on the challenges! :-) Today, I replaced a door skin on my truck and will be prepping to re-paint it in the next few days. Or take up mechanical stuff as a hobby and build a hot rod or restore a classic car. I knew nothing about cars 5 years ago beyond how to change a flat. Now I'm at the point that I'm learning to recondition an engine. I need to learn some more welding and body work, but I'm pretty ok with the rest. The problem is not the hours... it's the type of work. 8 hours doing something you hate for money is a dreadful existence. 16 hours a day doing whatever it is you were born to do is a wonderful existence.
