You're not taking into account the amount of emotional trauma that sexual assault causes, and how such trauma can permanently mark a person. You've heard of PTSD, probably? Same thing. I'm not talking about a 50/50 split, nor about non-sexual assault, I'm talking about how 96% of all sex assaults are committed by men.
