5	Media using "gunman" vs "shooter" If it's a man 97% of the time committing these crimes, it's safe to assume the shooter will prooooobably be a "gunman". Is gunwoman even a word? But I agree that the term does seem unnecessarily specific, and almost the wrong term? Like a "gunman" sounds like a person who could be skilled at using guns, rather than a mass murderer. 2	My buddy is in an abusive relationship, how do I help him see it? Why has no one mentioned seeking a counsellor/therapist? Isn't the point of this sub to talk about men, dealing with emotions/abuse in a healthy and positive way? If he's in an abusive relationship he might need help identifying the abuse/boundaries/problems that he's facing. Friends are helpful when they can raise some red flags about a relationship, but they're not always the best "agents of change" for someone else's relationship. It just so happens that we live in a capitalist/patriarchal society so maybe we see more greed at the top of the chain.
