I am guessing these are people that you dont know personally and just follow them as you stated. Another potential reason could be: 3: They realize that by appearing single it increases their following via parasocial relationship.

All great points and well said. Yes, the wealth of information and abundance of shortcuts is super tempting for sure. Fake it to you make it is a viable approach. In all honesty, that is what I did at first too. Then after a while it becomes natural and automatic. At that point it's time to level up and continue with the growth in other areas. Personally, I think self improvement for me will be ongoing. I am constantly looking to improve and level up as you said. Right now it's about building be…

What you are looking for is the selfimprovement sub. The problem is that it does not get as much traffic or quality posts. Instant gratification just appeals more to the masses. Cant blame them completely as I was the exact same way too.

I agree with you. Its about setting healthy boundaries, expectations and communicating values. When someone violates these, there has to be an adverse consequence. You recognize good behavior versus reproaching bad behavior. I just wish there were better words to describe the dynamic. However, looking at it from a strictly technical perspective, its correct.

100%. It has to do with instant gratification in my opinion. Its easier to fake being the man than becoming the man. I get it though, becoming the man can appear to be a Herculean task at times. I just wish that people would see that latter is far more rewarding and the benefits extend far beyond romantic relationships. Again, I cant be too critical myself though as I used to be the exact same way. Its just a matter of helping others to see this is the best course for a fulfilling life.

Push/Pull is what works when you are dealing with someone with an insecure attachment styles such as anxious or avoidant. This would not work or is necessary if the other person has a secure attachment style. In fact, it likely would result in the opposite effect.

Great video. Thank you so much. You did an amazing job at explaining things in a clear and concise manner. If you are familiar with adult attachment theory, you will find that much of the information that is posted in this sub, dating sub, relationship sub and codependency sub, all link back to attachment theory. Each sub just uses different language, coined phrases, buzzwords or framing the same information. As you said, men that have an avoidant attachment style (jerks) and men that have a sec…

Thank you for sharing. I think this provides a good outline of what girls feel/think too when a guy takes the lead in doing these things. This is what makes you different from the rest. They then associate you with these pleasant feelings and as you being someone that is fun to be around.

You did an overall amazing job in flirting except for the how is your day going. Almost every guy/girl says the exact same thing and in my opinion it is boring talk. Not to mention that the response will typically be something like "good". Some may even leave you on read after that. As for your response, I would say something like "Its good, but enough about the day, lets talk about tonight".

Its sounds to me like you want to improve your confidence so that you can get better with woman than to improve the quality of your life. You obtain true confidence by working on yourself. That should be the end goal. Determining your self value is key. Like you said, that is the hard part. What I find that many of the seduction and pick up forums do is teach you to fake confidence rather than obtain it. If anything, maybe look at other forums like self improvement?

Apparently there is a lot of money in this business. While its true that this information is here for free, its scattered all over the place. Not to mention that people will determine the value of the information when there is cost associated with obtaining it.

There is such as thing as confirmation bias. Could you describe what some of the behaviors that your friends with girlfriends exhibit that you would label as needy? The thing is that relationships are not black and white. For example, if you are not familiar with it, I recommend you reading up on Adult Attachment Theory. Mark Manson has a great summary in you are feeling lazy. Many of the attributes that woman find attractive are shared between someone that is avoidant and secure. Conversely, so…

Space is healthy and needed in a relationship. If you are doing this for that reason, its not being petty and actually what you should be doing. If you are creating the space because you know its attractive, then its a game and you are being petty.

Leaning forward shows that you are too invested in the conversation. Leaning back conveys that you are more relaxed, even slightly bored. This results in the person at the other end feeling they need to impress you instead of you already being hooked.

Yes, for sure seek out therapy if that is an option for you. Also look up the book Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment Theory for some insight. With there being such a huge amount of people in this world, I dont see any reason for me to chase after a girl that is taken, my friend is interested in or exes of friends. Great post! I agree that woman are just as sexual as we are. There is no denying it. Otherwise the species would have disappeared a long time ago. The thing is that woman really dont struggle with having 100's of guys wanting to jump in the sack with them. There are plenty of men willing and waiting. However, that is boring. Based on your description, its sounds like you may have either an avoidant attachment style or fearful avoidant attachment style. Our adult attachment styles have to do with how we were raised. What we saw growing up as examples by our parents. The only way to get past this would be to learn about yourself and focus on improving your emotional intelligence.
/r/seduction31/12/19 07:29 PM

My best guess would be that you learned how to fake confidence for the initial phase ( I am making this assumption based on the fact you are in this sub). You also have nothing to lose at the beginning when you meet someone. Once you got past that initial phase, the attraction dwindled down due to lack of congruence. You now have a fear of losing the person. The real solution would be to achieve true confidence AKA none neediness. This is the hardest part because its a lot of introspect and self…

The simplest way I would describe it would be to treat a girl the way you treat your buddy to a certain extent. In other words, no special treatment but normal treatment instead. If a buddy has something on that you like, you compliment them. You dont just give them a compliment for no reason. If your buddy is giving you attitude, you let them know and dont just take it. If your buddy is talking smack and you dont feel like dealing with it, you walk away. If your buddy did something dumb or sill…

Yes it would work but its more complicated than that. I see a lot of advice telling people to display attractive behaviors but under false pretenses. For example, the behaviors below help build attraction: Don’t chase Don’t text too much Don’t be too available Don’t chase (Faked) Even though you are very interested, you are pretending that you are not and anxiously wait to see what happens next. Thanks for the additional information. Its very hard to tell what is going on with what we know. I will tell that a lot of this has to do with the person's adult attachment style. If the person is secure, then getting texts all the time does not have much of a negative impact. You letting them know how you feel and what you want does not scare them off. If the person has an insecure attachments style such as avoidant, the texting can push them away. You expressing how you feel can also cause the…

/r/seduction20/12/19 08:46 PM

You may have missed it in the wall of text. Its great that she is the one initiating it. That does not change the fact that you are too available if you are snapchatting every day. There is no real chasing going on.

Read the book I recommended and we can continue the discussion. I am telling you this as a person that thought just like you. This thinking is toxic and unrealistic. Real and true love is far more beautiful than the fantasy you have in your head. Much of your thinking is attributed to Hollywood and media which romanticize toxic behaviors. Maybe even your own mother that tried to teach you how to be the perfect partner.
/r/seduction20/12/19 08:37 PM

Your constant snapchatting is literally why she is pulling away. It’s not a game and please don’t dismiss it as being an age specific belief either. It’s very basic science actually. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. It sounds like you are too available and that may be killing some of the attraction. You are also showing too much investment in this person. When I used to date a lot, I thought coffee dates were perfect. There is less stress and commitment. In addition, if it does not work out, it does not get as expensive and you each go your way. if it works out, you transition to another place. Thanks for the TLDR. I somewhat I agree with your last point. Dating Apps: Using dating apps keeps you safe by minimizing rejection due to knowing already that there is the initial attraction (matched). Its not only low hanging fruit, but the numbers game at play big time. Using an app is much easier than going out to the real world and trying to figure out if someone is attracted to you and then working towards building rapport. You should have made a move. Its better to go home with a no than not know. You may have killed off the attraction that was there by not showing enough sexual interest. Woman like sex too. I mean, they are usually a partner in these one night stands right? Its better to make your move and show your interest than sit back and play the nice guy. I dont. If the girl is really interested, you wont have to do much to differentiate yourself from others. Your own IG will speak for you. You send a message and she replies. Again, she would have to seen your Instagram first or stories and see if she likes what she sees. And that is why I dont believe in providing compliments for no reason unless they are genuine. You could remove the word interesting and it has the same effect. Yes, by your two friends, as one of the girls. By other woman, its social proof that you are not a creeper and may cause some interest. How you behave though will determine if they(other woman) see you as a potential mate or another one of the girls.

By the woman themselves? Kind of like one of the girls so you may not want to have this perception. To other men and women, it kind of serves as social proof.

Many woman that are on Tinder and similar apps are there for validation and approval only. Some want to increase their social media by including their Snapchat, IG etc. There are also lots of woman that are on there to get the attention and validation they are not getting from their significant other or to simply see if they still go it. Simply put, the more matches and likes they get, the more self worth they feel. They have no intention of dating the guys or leaving their partner. For the ones…

Thank you for the links. I will check them out. The intent of my post was to help people present themselves in a more visually attractive way. At no point did I say that looks were not important. In fact, I provided tips that anyone could use to make themselves more attractive. This includes people that may physically already be very attractive. I still disagree that looks are valued the same by men and woman though.

I am on my phone but will send you some links along with books to check out tomorrow. Start Atomic Attraction if you can. I am at home now and need to spend time with my girl and kids. As far as the guys told they are too short, what did they respond with? How you respond and let it affect you changes things. If you get butthurt and respond with anything that shows it bothers you, then you will continue to get the same results. If you joke or come back with something witty, it catches them off g…

Well glad to hear but what kind of evidence could I provide? Just like your examples, mine would be anecdotal. They have been repeatable numerous times though. What I shared was not in hope of bragging but to let others know there is hope and that many of the limits we create are by our own doing. As far as general evidence concerning attraction not being limited to height, it's written in countless books and studies. If you are sincerely interested, read the book Atomic Attraction as it has a g…

Well you obviously have your opinions and views and I have mine. I dont think we will convince each other on the count we are a couple of old farts.

Height is related to making a woman feel protected. They feel small and petite next to a taller man. Believe me, I am not the enemy here. I mean, I am a fellow shorty. Anyways, that is a small segment of the population and why would you want to date someone like that anyways? In fact with just that sentence they let you know how they think and saved you a ton of time.

Would you limit yourself to one friend only as a possibility to hang out? You should always have a handful of friends to hang out. You should always have a handful of girls to date as well.

All this went down in 2015, just before I turned 40. I am about to be 44 on the 27th of this month. Because I was not looking for anything serious, I took that approach. I wrote my Tinder profile a specific way in order to attract specific types. I met some at a bar that I hang out at and others while out and about at after parties, taco trucks and other random places.

You want to be her friend so you can determine if she interests you romantically. Well by the time you realize that, you are in too deep. You are now the guy that falls for a girl that is already taken. Is that not the typical nice guy behavior?
/r/seduction11/12/19 01:16 AM

I would be honest with myself if I was you. If you are interested in her romantically, then admit it. If you plan on being friends with her with hopes that she likes you down the line or so you can be waiting should they break up, that is not good and its typical nice guy behavior. Not to mention this is unattractive. I would tell her that honestly you are interested in her romantically and out of respect for her relationship its best you guys dont talk. Should things change in the future, she c…

In general, as humans we want people to like us. Woman many times have a hard time dealing with the fact that some people may not like them. Thats why many times why they insist on remaining friends with exes or dudes they rejected. Other times they may obsess over and over as to why another girl may not like them. They then try to squash this by going out with them to do something. When you became distant it triggered this in her and that may be why she is trying harder. She may have even talke…

Yes, body language is super important and accounts for 70% of communication. When you are not attracted, your body language is relaxed and chill. This is attractive. When you are attracted, your body language may tense up. This is unattractive. Failing to make eye contact shows weakness and is unattractive in general.
/r/seduction10/12/19 10:38 PM

Attraction is far more than just that. In fact, you have more success attracting woman being stoic then approaching them smiling without having a real reason. How do you dress? How do you smell? What is your body language? How is your eye contact? What is your hygiene like? Do you workout?

Lots of studies done on people in their death bed talk about regret. They all pretty much say the same thing. People dont regret what they did but instead what they did not do. Make yourself a list of things you wanted to do and start working your way through them. Thats just my opinion.

Pretty much stopped putting them on pedestals like I had in the past. I talked to them as I would a dude without putting too much thought or effort to it or for the purpose of landing them. I became a person that people wanted to be around. There are lots of other things that I did but would put them all under the umbrella of self development. I worked on improving my body language, communication skills, exercised etc. Basically all the stuff you see suggested over and over in these forums and a…

I was in an 18 year relationship which ended and that same year my father died. She was the second woman that I had ever been with. At the time I was devastated because I thought nobody would want me . I was too too short, too old, had kids, fat, receding hairline etc. Lots of financial issues as a result of the separation. I also started drinking which is something that I never did before and had an overall period of darkness riddled by suicide thoughts on the daily. Many times I went out looki…

With seduction we associate it with having to do with getting with the opposite sex. I think the book the Art of Seduction actually says how seduction applies to all relationships, not just sexual in nature. It is in my opinion about enjoying life ultimately.

We are actually in agreement. Under no circumstances pretend that you like something when you dont in order to appease others or get validation. If you do not like dancing because you tried it and it does not interest you then dont do it. However, if you dont like dancing because you think that you are bad or never tried it, then get out of that comfort zone.

In general, when I notice this I will pop out my mints and take one followed by an offer to them. Most get the hint they need it. For the ones that dont get the hint, I cheekily say "please".

2

Sorry but the one think that stands out to me in your post is the fact she asked you to rinse. How good are you about your oral hygiene? One of the number one turn offs for woman are men with bad breath. For these reasons I always always carry mints with me. In fact, people know to come to me whenever they feel their breath may not be up to speed. When it comes to kissing, do you know how to build up the tension? This is key. When done right, she cant wait for you to kiss her and you may even he…

Exactly. The point is to go out there and place yourself outside of your comfort zone so that then becomes part of your comfort zone. Otherwise there is no growth.

Yes, we are very lucky in that way. I cannot count how many times I had woman prefer me (5'7 43m) over some 6'2 bodybuilder. Its about the entire package with looks being part of it but not as much as we men think. The ones that place more emphasize on looks is us men.

Yes, even this confusion of why you are attracted drives one nuts.
/r/seduction09/12/19 04:44 PM

I like this. I just responded to another post which indicated looks was the thing that opened the door for you in approaching woman where I think its your attractiveness. Attractiveness is more about body language, eye contact, style, hygiene, how you smell, speak i.e are you direct, decisive etc. Its not isolated to physical attractiveness.
/r/seduction09/12/19 04:30 PM
1

I would change the word from looks to attractiveness instead. Attraction is far more than simply your physical looks. For example, while you may not be a 6 foot Greek god, you can still have strong body language, solid eye contact, dress well, smell well and be well groomed. Its a matter of presenting the best version of yourself. After the initial presentation, maintaining interest would be personality.

Yes for sure. While out and about I have commonly heard people refer to me as "he is quick" or " he is quick witted" . Little do they know that the same comments, questions etc have been presented to me countless times before and I was therefore well prepared. Even what they think are unique or off the cuff questions or comments they are making.

Do you put that much thought in advance and prepare when you talk to friends? Be yourself and dont overthink it. Sincerity goes a long way. If you must go in prepared, maybe focus on listening if anything. In general you want to keep your actual talking to 30% to 40% of the time. Not just when talking to girls but people in general. Gives them comfort and somehow interpret this as you being easy to talk to. You being reserved also adds to a mystery and girls like that.

You knew where I was going huh. Lol You should always go for the kiss. First focus on building the tension. So much so that you will see the non verbal queues that she is wanting you to do it. When done right it will drive them nuts and they may end up kissing you.

Its sounds like you first friend-zoned yourself due to not showing interest and intent. When she got cold, you accidentally used the no contact rule and created space. You being able to walk away actually increased attraction. Here is the problem. We need to determine if she legit is now attracted to you or just needs you as one of her orbiters to help boost her ego. Go to this party and have an amazing time. If she will or will not be there is of no concern. Your first concern is having a great…

In general I think its a great idea to read any book three to four times. Lots of careful thought was put into each ounce of information. When you do this, when events happen in real time you are able to act immediately. Think of it like when someone asks you if you the know the lyrics to a song. When you try to remember you just cant get it. Once the music starts playing though, you immediately know the lyrics.

Yes, amazing book. It sucks that sometimes the title alone will put off people from reading it. Including woman. When we read the title of the book, we assume it contents tell you to be a jerk but its the opposite. Red Knight is another great read and it does a good job at explaining how you can balance the white and black knight into one.

You maintain attraction in the relationship through those gestures but even then they should be sincere when they occur. Its simply translates to the Law of Abundance versus Law of Scarcity.

Lots and lots and lots of reading. Also focusing on my emotional intelligence was key. Funny thing is that I kept reading to find books that countered what I had read before because I did not want to believe it to be true. But they all said the same thing. To a certain extent I still did not believe them so I did countless real life experiments. Each and every time they results were the same. Here is a sample of some of the books. It's a hard pill to swallow for the typical nice guy. I have been with some very strong independent woman, many that claim to be alpha themselves but they are fine with being submissive to what they feel is a real man. Some of them even bragging how they make the nice guys jump hoops for them. I would not go as far as to say woman want to be treated bad though. I mean who would want that? It's about high and lows.
