Aye; but it's not to say that there aren't women who will try to divorce rape men; these laws were changed to the current laws because previously Chinese women were divorce raping their spouses, sometimes with the tacit support of their own families.

I believe it only applies to assets? Not sure if it applies too to earning potential, if so there can still be some room for divorce rape... No, any sort of alimony is considered a private affair without interference from the judges; compare that to Western law that enslaves men to women ad infinitum. Naturally, China doesn't recognise common law marriage.
