I'm honestly glad I'm done with the general education classes and moved on into my major. I haven't had to deal with this kind of "feminism" since the last time I took a psychology class. On a side note, forget "Women Studies", took a step in that class thinking it would be an easy A to fill a pre-req, didn't make it halfway through the class on the first day before I stood up and walked out. Ended up with a harder class, but I didn't have to put up with the ridiculousness in there.

I'd like to add to the whole "Agree and amplify" thing, though for me, it applied less to women, and more to just people in general. After learning about TRP, I looked back at some of the situations in my life where I had displayed RP tendencies without realizing it, and the whole "Agree and amplify" thing particularly showed up in how I dealt with people who would try to get some kind of rise out of me. The social group of friends that I joined into in college had this one guy, who I shall refe…

It would be nice to see some examples of how to get over such habits, such as nail polish or something on your nails to discourage biting. Not sure what you could do for the nose picking, as I have a problem with it where there never seems to be any tissues when my nose starts to run. Given an option, I always pick tissues or napkins over my finger, but it's not always an option. If anyone else can add to this, that'd be great.

I stopped when I read the word "ruse". I mean, honestly, who uses the word "ruse" in normal conversation nowadays?

You're worrying too much about what people think, and you're expecting too much from simple interactions. Women are just people, just like you or me or anyone. There's absolutely nothing special about them anymore than anyone else. You have to demolish that pedestal that you're putting them on. Now, if you're having trouble finding things to talk about, that's a bit different. Experience was pretty much the only way I learned to handle small talk and learn how to keep the conversation flowing. J…

Lesbian/bisexual? I'm in this exact situation right now. Girl has a Long Distance Girlfriend, yet she comes onto me, and we've fooled around. Though agree on the "downrange" part, not sure what he's meaning by that.

I didn't get past that part of this breaking your two cardinal rules. THAT right there is your answer. The only person you ever need to be accountable to is yourself. If doing something breaks your own rules/beliefs, then by god, don't do it. The only reason I'd argue against this is if your rules are too constricting on yourself and your options. But that's not the case, there are plenty of women who A: "don't work at your work" and B: "aren't married." That aside, sounds like your using the wr…
