All the rom coms of the lucky orbiter who gets the girl after years in the friend zone gave guys a poisonous message

You can only be placed in the friend zone if you allow it. If a woman will give a "let's just be friends" non-rejection to a guy she's not interested in, it's covert language that lets her off the hook for "being mean" and puts the responsibility of back on the man. It's a win-win for her. Either a guy accepts his new position in the Friend Zone™ to provide her with attention/validation hoping for a crumb, or the guy rejects her kind offer of friendship which makes him an asshole and her a sympa…

It's a sad cycle. I wonder how often people like her reflect on the types of men she allows into her life and make actual changes. Nobody deserves to be abused and there are plenty of shitbag dudes out there who abuse women. But abusers don't get access or opportunity to abuse you if you don't allow them into your life. You can't always spot it but this guy had a giant red flag tattooed across his body. General rule is to stay away from people who enjoy self mutilation, men and women Everyone is…

Funny how one chick says "you deserve this more than anyone" when she bagged that upstanding gentleman If you get what you deserve then you deserve what you get. Also, if that was a "fat" upgrade I shudder to think of her former partners and the other men she subjects her kids to

No, lady. Men aren't scared of women owning a house. Most men just want a woman to enter their frame and get on their program. Nobody wants to deal with a combative battle axe of a woman. Her "don't need no man" attitude prevents her from cooperating with a man and that is what the men are "scared" of. Funny enough, there's no way she'd respect a man who came into her life and just followed her plan. Another modern women looking for some unicorn quasi traditional-modern man. Rich and weak

It took me a while to realize my ex did number 1. Thankfully 2 and 3 weren't an issue. And 4 ended up with me getting custody as well

This is why I probably will not date for the next ~16 years. My ex left when my kids were 2 and 1 because she wanted to "explore her options" and regretted having kids young (she was 23). I don't want to date a childless woman and make her shoulder the responsibilities of my past relationship (I have full custody). And sure as shit won't be dating a single mother because that's an even worse arrangement. It will probably be pretty lonely but it's my cross to bear.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
