Wednesday's major flaw in the show is she treats people like objects only to be used for her gain, and she takes no real consideration of their feelings or their well-being unless it directly benefits her, which she ultimately gets called out on. She only really survives because she begins to treat her friends better and that's what finally helps save her at various points. Like the show does have its issues, but Wednesday isn't a flawless mary sue (thankfully).

Bare in mind, while it uses some feminist lingo, a lot of the time a character shoots back with a logical counterpoint and the narrative doesn't treat them as wrong. When Wednesday accuses a character of patriarchal chivalry for helping her, the male character responds with "most people just say 'thank you'" and she has no retort. Same when she accuses the same character of "mansplaining" something about her, where he justifiably points out that he actually does have some knowledge about the top…

Sleeping Beauty (Aurora) was largely saved by the three female fairies. The prince was mostly incidental, got tricked, and needed the fairies help to have a chance at defeating Maleficent.

Considering that he was one of the only people running that I've seen come out against ritualistic MGM, I'm super disappointed to see him double-back like this. What's betting his campaign advisors told him to, else risk upsetting pro-infant circ supporters like certain religious groups, otherwise already cut men, and those who culturally plan to. For all the talk of equality it's disturbing to me how actual equal rights are ignored or treated as unequal or even offensive.

This is just evidence of how antiquated religious beliefs tend to be due to being created back when stuff like this didn't exist, and "not doing work" one day a week wasn't much of an inconvenience to daily life. The fact they've found loopholes in the rules makes me wonder why they'd even bother sticking to them at that point.

If only because you brought it up, I'm not from London and I support a final say referendum. If we're letting the public decide the future of the country in such a direct way, then it just makes sense to affirm that they are happy with the final deal now we've had several years to see what we're actually getting, because undoing it later would be much harder.

Really disappointed hearing about P!nk and I think I might have lost all respect for her. For a pro-female show Buffy was fairly egalitarian. Buffy herself is only strong because of essentially magic, and she's shown to be flawed and in need of help at times. Other female characters are generally as flawed as the male ones and they all do about as much good as bad.

Interestingly, I think that's why it went away in the UK; no incentive for publicly funded healthcare to want to spend money cutting babies. It makes more sense in for-profit countries like the US because doctors get a bit of cash for what amounts to a short job for them, then get to rake in more from selling the foreskin to companies for skin creams and such.

That's what I hate about "mansplaining"; it's injecting sex into something that isn't necessarily specific to either sex, especially when we already have perfectly serviceable sex-neutral terms, such as patronising, back seat gaming, and ultracrepidarian. I would have just as much issue if people tried to coin "womoaning" for women complaining about things, as though both sexes don't do that.

I'm not 100% sure myself. The show is fiction that portrays, primarily, four women with different romantic priorities and careers, seeking love and fulfilment. I mean it obviously isn't super gritty and realistic, but I don't think it's meant to be; it's fantasy wish fulfilment. I also think the show at least portrays the characters as flawed and wrong at times, which is a breath of fresh air compared to the likes of Rey (pretty much a Mary Sue).

I do find it interesting that issues surrounding women's breasts and vagina's are generally treated with dignity and hope that nothing bad will happen or that less invasive methods can help correct potential issues. Yet for male penis issues people will easily suggest the most invasive solution first and disregard body integrity because it's socially acceptable to find mutilated male genitals appealing, and even ideal.

Who gets to decide what part of any persons body is "excess", especially the most innervated part of the male body? I've never seen a gay bar not allow straight folks. I don't know if it ever went this far, but I know some gay bars were thinking of banning bachelorette/hen parties or maybe even straight-identifying women as whole (except when accompanied by a gay friend), because groups of ladies would get drunk and go to gay bars to gawk at and grope, the men there, basically making it uncomfortable for normal patrons.

Foreskin complications are rare, and most can be solved with non-invasive measures first.
