Isn’t anarcho-communism a contradiction in terms? Don’t you need an authoritarian central government to create the conditions for communism (dictatorship of the proletariat, controlling the means of production, all that jazz).

I doubt the advert made that much of an impact. The press release indicates the write down was because of “market contraction of blades and razors” because of “lower shaving frequency” (ie more guys wearing facial hair - true) and “competitive activities” (Dollar Shave Club, Harry’s, etc).

No jury in Australia. Judge only. The judge made the damages award. Could get reduced on appeal but he can collect in the meantime.
/r/MensRights06/07/19 09:32 PM

Correct. Although the paper called the accuser as part of its defence (claiming the allegations were in fact true). The judge obviously found otherwise - ie that she lied or exaggerated.

The few exceptional women in traditionally male-dominated fields (your Marie Curies, your Amelia Earharts, your Margaret Thatchers) get trotted out so often that they’ve basically become the exceptions who prove the rule.

When are modern men supposed to have time for friends and social activities? We’re told that basically working all day to pay for everything isn’t enough, oh no we have to shoulder half the household chores (except the really hard stuff like yard work, fixing things, working on the car - that we have to do 100% of), half the cooking, half the cleaning, half the laundry, half the child rearing. Meanwhile society has bought into this bullshit notion that “moms are unappreciated” and “work harder t…

What “evidence” do you have that it is “one of those programs”? Edited: believe me I’ve seen plenty of those bullshit men’s groups that are focused on “changing men” and “challenging concepts of masculinity” in Edmonton. Most of them are quite upfront about that fact - some even say they incorporate “feminist perspectives”. Based on all the other options, it’s refreshing to see a men’s group that doesn’t include that in its mission statement.
/r/MensRights03/05/19 08:04 PM

I will say that shed programs, unlike many other support groups, recognize that men bond best over shared activities. The saying that men talk shoulder to shoulder rather than face to face has a lot of truth to it.

Well looking at the website, they also have a support group for men who have experienced abuse in their intimate relationships. Doesn’t sound like a feminist front to me.

Couple points: 1) Hey ladies, you know how you’re always bitching how “freezing” it is in your office in the summer? Stupid dress codes and work expectations like this that require require men to wear the same clothes in summer as winter is why. Until the dudes get to wear breezy light summer clothes to work, suck it up and bring a sweater. 2) This brings to mind the (thankfully) short-lived “skant” uniform in the first season of Star Trek: the Next Generation. My theory is this was the creators…

No women in the Western world are “oppressed” or lack fundamental human rights. Some women could be considered “oppressed” in places like Africa, the Middle East and South Asia, but pointing that out would mean criticizing POC, and we can’t have that. Better to make up imaginary bullshit like the “wage gap” and “microaggressions” so we can bash white men.

Yep they thrive on drama. Look no further than the workplace. Women engage in office drama non-stop, men focus on getting shit done. Small wonder 90% of HR staff are women.

I actually liked “Letters from Iwo Jima” more than “Flags of our Fathers” (still both excellent). I remember how “American Sniper” made all the SJWs Reeeeeee. Basically brought together everything they hate - war, the military, duty, sacrifice, brotherhood, heroism, masculinity, fatherhood, patriotism, strong white male characters, etc etc etc. Come to think of it, I’ve yet to see a bad Eastwood movie.

I wonder if this insufferable cunt knew just how much hate she was going to get when she created this stupid selfie? I’m sure as a SAHM she is only able to carve out a mere six hours a day for mommy blogging, making Pinterest posts, dabbling in Etsy, coffee with her friends, daytime TV, and Instagramming.

But but but but she was busy “carrying the mental load” and doing all the “emotional labour”!! That’s why when dad gets home from a 12-hour work day, he has to do the dishes and get the kids bathed and in bed while she lays in the tub with a bottle of wine because her life as a SAHM is like, so hard you guys.

The Boomers are used to getting shit handed to them for free or practically free when they need it, so no surprise that as they age and are more reliant on the state, they are becoming more “progressive” (ie pro-wealth redistribution and pro-social spending). Consider: 1950s: Boomer children want for nothing thanks to their Depression and WWII-scarred parents who want to save their children from a similar fate. 1960s/1970s: Boomers pay next to nothing for university and graduate into a booming e…

Specifically: The children now live with their mother in a cramped two-bedroom apartment and spend weekends with their father in their spacious former home. In addition, Joan frequently refuses to buy the children new toys and clothes in an effort to "make ends meet." ”Right now, I'm just barely getting by, working two 30-hour-a-week jobs without health insurance," Joan said.

An interesting study out of Sweden (poster child for gender equality and feminist social democracy) found that when women were given the option of entering any career field without “traditional” barriers to entry, contrary to what feminists would have us believe, lack of gender equality is not what is preventing women from going into STEM fields. In fact, the more gender equality, the fewer women in STEM. It’s almost like women have their own agency and can decide for themselves what careers int…

People assume if a single professional athlete keeps his private life private or doesn’t have a girlfriend, he must be gay (eg Aaron Rodgers, Sidney Crosby, Tim Tebow, etc). My theory is these guys know that in their position, dating a woman is like playing Russian roulette, and have decided to play it safe.

My theory is that many dudes still have blue collar jobs which involve some physical labour, while many women sit on their asses all day, either at home or in a cubicle. Once they’ve locked their man down there’s no need to make any effort to stay in shape. So you end up with in-shape guys with land whale partners. The trope of schlubby fat guy and hot wife is a television fantasy.

Which is why working people and the middle classes are getting it coming and going. The upper classes and corporations get massive tax breaks, the poor keep getting more free shit, and people in the middle get squeezed with the bill.

It’s hard to see, but there’s a single slim volume in the “men’s health” section at my local Indigo - a book about natural remedies for low testosterone. Meanwhile there is a whole “wellness” area (multiple shelves) that is 99% aimed at women’s health. On the one hand, it shows how little heed our society pays to men’s well-being. On the other hand, it also demonstrates how women obsess over themselves.

I’m the oldest of three boys. My youngest brother was always more active, outgoing and rambunctious than my middle brother and I (still typical boy behaviour). Even in the late 80s/early 90s, all the teachers at our elementary school were telling my mom to put him on Ritalin. She basically told them to fuck off and that he was not “hyperactive” nor did he have an “attention deficit” - he was just less willing to sit and be quiet in class than my middle brother and I. Meanwhile my aunt put my cou…
