My husband is well aware that I don’t need him. He doesn’t need me either. We both want each other. Sure in our current relationship he needs me to care for our girl, and I need him to pay the bills. But if it came down to it we could both stand on our own feet and create a life separately. So that’s a red flag for me.

This is absolutely the FDS way, but I think he meant to ask questions for her to be able to see through the lies. Not give that asshole more of platform. His intentions seemed on point.

My then broke college student husband asked me to order first, then nudged me out of the way ensuring he would pay for us. I didn’t sleep with him 3 months. I’m now a SAHM to the brightest most beautiful little girl and he’s planning on buying us a home where we can both have separate office spaces to prepare for me to start teaching piano lessons again. A lot happened in between there. And I’ve absolutely carried us financially after we were married during some difficult times. But it’s a beaut…

I loved this book!!! So much. Also she’s chunky. Loved it. I’m chunky too. And to her someone describe my body as sexy was just really pleasant.

People with ADHD find solutions in their job. They can find solutions in their personal life. Don’t let men tell you any different.

Coming from a married woman with an inexpensive ring that she loves, what in the gold digging hell is this man up to??? He only hasn’t broken up with her because of her salary??? Sheesh. I hope she leaves. And who wants to bet she showed him rings she liked and he freaked out at the price tag. I highly doubt she threw that number down out of the blue.

I always wanted kids. Blimey it's so incredibly hard being a breastfeeding, gentle, respectful, present, thoughtful stay at home mom. It's just so so so overwhelming.

I've gained and lost upwards of 100 pounds. My Daddy tells me I look pretty any time I get gussied up no matter where the scale was. My mother on the other hand, but digress...wtf is up with that Dad?

I haven't slept through the night in 21 months. I had to ask a woman how to get into a hotel pool today. So that's embarrassing, but I quickly apologized and stayed 8+feet away

You could have started a conversation about life goals and commitment. You didn't. You chose to break it off. Only you know why. But trust your gut 100%. For whatever reason your female intuition knew it was time to go. Good for you.

I'm just a stay at home mom nursing my child to sleep internally screaming at Hans. Also I've mentioned my very anti-fds life style in here and no over has kicked me out!!! I love it here. I'm going to teach my baby girl so much. She's gonna have to do some serious reading before she solo dates. I expect to allow her the occasional middle school date like dances etc.

I would lock the bathrooms and have my child come ask me for the key. After peeing we would go check the bathroom together. If they missed the bowl I would have them clean the bathroom. Parenting is work. Like they don't get to 14 and your work stops. It's. Constant. Ducking. Work.

It's no black women's job to educate me, but you can't Google what you don't know, ya know? I'm currently reading White Fragility. Not going to lie, it's hella uncomfortable. But I think it's important.

What grade you are is the time your cell phone turns off and gets charged in the living room. Your laptop doesn't have a camera. And if I even think you're chatting online, bye bye technology. My daughter might hate me a little, but that's ok. I'm trying to raise a happy healthy adult, not please a teenager.

I had terrible nausea and gestational diabetes a horrid labor but that's the hospitals fault, not my body's. So I get it. I do love being a mom to my little girl. It's all 100% worth it for me. You're totally worthy and a full woman regardless of your decision to not reproduce.

I have to say, I got pregnant fat. And was back to normal weight with no added stretch marks at 6 weeks. Also I felt pretty normal at 4 months in terms of strength and endurance. So I'm not out here preaching that chunky life, but it is truly luck of the draw.

I've used that term about FDS before. (Not in a negative way, I love it here) I more meant that everyone more or less believed the same. I won't use it in the future. You're right. No one here is insulated from opposing beliefs.

Yeah and I'm only commenting this to prove it point. I'm a SAHM. I love it here. I'm accepted here. And I don't get banned for living my life and what makes sense for my family and my values even though it's not 100% the FDS way. Also I don't think I need to preach my life values to anyone here. Society and statistics shove sacrificing for your kids down women's throats. You can be a great mom and a working mom! There's some things in the handbook that I don't believe. Guess what?!? NO ONE WILL HERE EVER KNOW. I don't need to give you lot my reasons; and I love that this is a place that promotes woman having standards! If you're secure in your standards you don't have to explain them to anyone else.

You need to be able to play with a soft rounded relaxed above all else hand shape. You have to be able to control how you push the keys as you advance. Ideally if you hold your hand up to your face palm forward, you shouldn't be able to see your nail. But you don't have to be 1000% committed if you love your nails. If they aren't that important, cut them down and trim them. They still look pretty painted.

I could see how early twenties might not have date clothes in your closet. You can usually sex up a business casual blouse or your Sunday church dress or your farmers market jeans enough for a first date. But why would a young woman have any of that yet.

Oof that's so sad. Sorry not sorry but there's a world of difference between reading a novel and watching porn. I hate that women are legitimately looking for advice then gross pickmes and worse gross men tell them that's it's normal. It may be normal, but it's still gross and demeaning
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/03/21 01:45 PM

I read "porn" is that what these women are referring to? After I became a mom it was hard to transition into sexy time. Reading dirty novels help. Because like hours? Wtf? Who has time for that?

I know it's unusual, but I have a degree that I can go from 0 dollars a month to 4k a month guaranteed (except maybe in a pandemic) in 2/3 months. It's not a huge amount of money. But me and the kiddo would survive. I'm so grateful to stay at home with her. I get all her firsts. I get all the bonding. I get to know that she's happy and safe. I'm fat. I know I could "level up", but I'm breastfeeding. I'm caring for a toddler. I'm building my home and my marriage. I'm dreaming about going back to work and what that will look like. I tell my 16 month old every day that's she strong capable and she would walk at the first sign of disrespect. I have multiple books that she is going to read before going on her first date. And they aren't the trash I had to read as a teenager. She doesn't need anyone's approval, except mommy's and mommy thinks you hung the moon for breathing in and out.

I totally understand your perspective. What do you do when you take the time to vet a church to the best of your ability, then this happens with your 11 year old sitting beside you. Do you get up and walk out? Do you discuss it at home? What's the answer? It's hard. Really hard. The patriarchy is entrenched in the church.

I'm really happy to be a stay at home mom. But I did call my mom today and told her I wanted to get a job and offered her my whole paycheck to take Evelynn while I worked. She laughed her butt off because she was a stay at home mom. She knows how hard it can be. Being 16 months old and having lots of opinions is hard. Having your little toddler routine thrown off by an ice storm is hard. Teething is hard. I think the wine moms are often miserable because they have no real partner who is like "in…

There's nothing stuffy about eating dinner in a restaurant. Don't be ridiculous. The whole comment was in support of creative dates that take work and planning??? So what's your point??? The only thing I would add to this is that in the beginning of valuing yourself and learning...it is effort to ignore block and delete. That little bit of rage/anger/shock that bubbles up it's hard to ignore. But pushing through and not clapping back will become your norm and that little bit of emotion will fade. But in the beginning you want to stab back, throw a barb and feel like you won. That's ok! But it isn't worth it. Learn to ignore because that hurts more. But in the beginning it is eff…

Yep! So I wrote a venting post about the wonderful but sometimes asshat that I’m married to in baby bumps. And they went through my post history and just tore me apart. Super helpful to a hormonal sad woman terrified of losing her baby. All because I truly believe that my husband grew from the broken shell of the man I met, because I treated with him respect and dignity through being unemployed/underemployed and going back to school and dealing with a father that hurt him terribly. Sorry, tmi, I…

I don’t need to look into RPW more. I was raised in it. I have taken college courses in it. My parents are still married. My Youth Pastor is still married. I’ve read books on the subject. I’ve observed it close up. I’ve seen that it works. I know that it is right. I’m extremely well educated on the matter. I’ve been married nearly seven years. Don’t downvote me because you think I don’t know what I’m talking about. The truth is that people that have suffered sexual trauma often approach sex diff…

I think if I voice my true thoughts on the matter I will be kicked out of here. So, I’ll be gentle. There is no excuse for you bf’s reaction. He is young, but he’s not 14, so still not an excuse in my book. My husband was sexually assaulted as a child. He didn’t speak it out loud until after we were married. He physically abused me 4-5 times while dealing with this trauma. Again, not an excuse for him. We went to therapy and worked through it, but I digress. What I meant to illustrate that being…

A good teacher would help. Grant it most of the work I’ve done in this arena is with kids. But I consider it truly a success when my student can hear what the mistake they were making. We celebrate it lesson. I point out where the improvement constantly. The most controlling students that put so much pressure on themselves are usually so improved after a year. Alone, I would practice laughing at your mistakes. I constantly model this behavior. I (purposely or not purposely) make mistakes in fron…

You’re feeling sound perfectly valid. You deserve to be angry. Can you relocate to a place with more opportunities? Can you start building bridges with family? Did you have a supportive family? Can you take in other kids for extra income? Does Ireland have any government programs that you can take advantage of? Like in the US we have head start (free preschool), WIC(under 185% of poverty supplies milk, cheese, formula), and food stamps. You attitude isn’t the problem. That should be your mantra.…

You need marriage counseling and solo counseling. You said that you’re poor. Can you find a place that is a sliding scale nearby? Your troubles are way outside of this sub. You married too young. You chose a poor mate. Also, teenagers can’t realistically predict their future earning potential. You should definitely go back to work if you’re financially struggling and have free childcare (school+friend or family). There are no magic words of submission here to deal with your resentment. You and y…

My dear friend grew up very differently that I did. Let’s just say her BFF from childhood is currently in jail for killing her own kid. She gave me multiple examples of women eating nothing but snickers and Mountain Dew, or just never drinking a drop of water and had perfectly fine babies. I love her stories because at least I’m better than that! I wish you a whole day of calm happy HarMony20 emotions, and lots of ice cream when that falls apart!

I swear to god if one more person tells me to “do my best and make healthy choices” heads will roll. I’m in the first trimester. Healthy choice is currently a large fry at 2:00 AM because I ate a grand total of 200 calories earlier that day. It’s not my DAMN FAULT that my body has decided that the dead of night is the only acceptable time to eat. And only fries. It’s insane over here.

I got too excited today and ate too much and now I wanna barf. As an x-eating disordered person, I could do this easily. But now I’m trying to hold the calories in for this baby. For the first time in my life being healthy doesn’t mean losing weight and it’s fucking with my head. Also, I cried for 5 hours straight yesterday. Here’s the highlight real, I can’t eat healthy. I just wanna eat a chicken breast. I’m going to be a bad mom. How can I cry over something I want so badly. My husband is goi…

I Cooked for my husband on the second because he shouldn’t have gone on a date with me to begin with. He was getting sick plus had pulled an all-nighter then night before. College. How much money do you have saved? Is he settled into a career that could support you and a baby if you couldn’t return to work quickly? If you are planning to return to work, Where would the baby go? Daycare is a pretty penny, do you have family that would want to take the baby? How much does your insurance cover of child birth? Mine is pretty crappy at 60/40. My baby is going to end up being 5-7grand. Would you have support to get some big ticket items like a car seat from family? Or would you …

Idk if I’m the right wife for this. My husband wasn’t an attractive mate when I met him. But I knew he could be. So I just supported his unemployed failing at community college depressed little butt as best as I could. He had -crazy- obstacles to overcome, and I knew he couldn’t do it alone. It’s been a fuck ton of work. But I was pretty level headed, and I have patience in spades. Also I had a relatively healthy upbringing. Sweetie, 25 pounds can be gone in less than six months. It’s so insignificant (if you take care of it) in the whole scheme of your healthy confident life. Every week you’ll feel better and better. Regardless though, you deserve some cute clothes. Rock those extra curves while you got them. 😉 Pop on your fave lip color, swing those hips, and show some extra boobage. You’re fine. I promise.

Have you started the search process? I’m a super miserable pregnant person who is often confined to her bed. I can talk to you about it. I currently live in Charlotte. I’m gonna google search a Christian therapist in my area and see what comes up. So lots and lots of female counselors of all colors and ages came up for me. All Christians, and licensed with their university listed. Seriously, I’m lonely and sad. If I can help I will. These hormones are doing a number on me. I’m desperately trying…

BUY CLOTHES THAT FIT. If you’re losing weight, you don’t need a bunch of them. Shop clearance or thrift stores, but get 4 solid pieces that fit. Do you hair every day. Wear makeup every day. Take care of your skin. Wear earrings. Track inches and not pounds.Be kind to yourself. Drink you water and take some walks. 25 pounds feels like a huge difference to you, but it’s not that bad, and you can lose it in 5 months.

On my husband’s and I second date, I made him dinner at my house. Then we rented movies. He said I completely took the pressure off, and he knew he wanted to be with me long term that night. Now I did this because he was at the occupy movement all night and only slept a couple of hours before coming over. He said he planned to take me out, but I just wanted him to rest. Yeah I thought the driving example was odd too. Alright I’m starting to feel a little armchair-y psychologist over here. But it’s all kinda odd. And maybe I’m showing too much of my knowledge of BDSM, but it almost sounds like they practice domestic discipline. Major reach from me probably.

Ya know reading some of her comments I can’t figure out if she is just a colossal headstrong witch to her husband or deeply mentally and emotionally abused. Plus I’m always a tad concerned when someone is listing off great qualities of their husband and looks is the first one they go to. Seems to denote some kind of superficial relationship, but I realize that’s probably extreme on my part. Actually reading her previous post; she sounds exactly like my husband. It sounds like you chose the wrong kind of man to be with. That kind of a threat while pregnant is absolutely inappropriate. He needs to do some reading and maybe give a crap that his first mate is literally a big box of uncontrollable hormones. Captains don’t threaten and give ultimatums, especially to pregnant woman. Captains lead. Captains steer the ship. Captains give specific feedback and attainable goals. He is threatening. He leaves you not knowing how to please him. He is leaving you fee…
