The bar is so low that this dude planning 3 simple dates is impressive. Geez...

This is why I love FDS. Because if you follow it, they get nothing after 3 dates (except for more of your time and company potentially, but definitely no sex) and if that's an issue the cracks will begin to show very quickly in most cases.

If you think about it, it's within the interests of men to collectively bring down the average rating of beautiful women. The less confidence women have, the more leverage they have.

I think she's a teenager actually. She doesn't seem super mature. The intention behind the sub is good, but to me it just feels like being back in highschool where all the girls are hating on their various facial features. It's all a bit too weird and obsessive haha.

This is awful. Also, surely this interferes with the accuracy of their sleep clinic results? Heart rate, breathing etc. Absolute morons.

"Frat guys are psychopaths imo, unless it’s actually a decent fraternity" I think she was implying you should go on the date, but be cautious and vet him properly. If this is the case, then I second this advice.

Congratulations on making this decision and also paying off your house! Your ex honestly does not deserve you. I really wish you all the best for the coming days. How exciting! 💖 Please be careful and protect yourself during the separation. When my mum left my father, he went to the bank and had her locked out of all the accounts. She was left with approximately $40 until the lawyers sorted it out. Please protect your son, pets (if you have any), valuables and important documents because there's…

Can I firstly comment on how many guys seem to neglect their oral hygiene? I don't want to be near that, let alone date someone who doesn't take care of their teeth. Either way, my conservative estimate is per year is: Laser - $300 Teeth whitening - $200 (at home - gel from my dentist that I use with custom moulds) Hair cuts & treatments - $900 Skincare - $300 Makeup - $400 approx Lotions & shampoo - $300 Total: $2400 That doesn't include stuff for general hygiene and grooming like toothpaste, f…

You must be young if you've graduated. Congrats on graduating! I've had a fair few jobs and made a career change at 25. The beauty of a career is that you don't need to choose one job and stay in it for 20 years anymore. I've personally worked full time in 7 companies so far and I'm in my late 20s. Take the job closer to home and build up your CV. Keep improving and building your skills. Create a LinkedIn profile and connect with people. Your career is just beginning, so there's really no wrong …

Being a gamer. It seems a lot of us here dislike guys that play games, but my partner is a great boyfriend, never prioritises games over important stuff and stays fit. Definitely not the cliche gamer type. I think he wishes I was more into games but if I need to unwind I enjoy a book more.

Genuine question. How can you avoid saying please without being rude? . E.g. I would never say "Could you pass the salt?" Instead of "Could you please pass the salt." I often notice when people fail to say please and it always makes it seem like they have bad manners.

You're right. I'm working with a dietitian at the moment and so I'm taking salads to work instead of eating from our work cafeteria (which is free for employees). This one dude won't stop singling me out and commenting on how I should be eating like everyone else! It's so awkward that this random man feels entitled to comment on a woman's dietary choices when they don't affect him.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/02/20 08:58 PM
6

Agreed. I've seen some responses to photos of men where someone has said something to the effect of "kill it with fire". While they're clearly kidding, that's the kind of comment that can cause issues and make a sub look "violent" if people get upset enough over it.

You have spent time together twice and he's basically asking you to iron his shirts? You deserve better than this. Especially in the initial stages. He should be trying to impress you, not pin you down for house duties under the guise of a joke. If I was you I would go over in a month, but stay in your own accommodation. That way, things are on your own terms and you don't "owe" him anything for staying at his place. Don't do any housework for him. Don't have sex. Of course still enjoy your time…

I work in tech and make more than my partner. He paid for our last dinner, which was on the weekend. He's also booked us in for Valentine's day. Men will make it work if they want to. The restaurants don't always have to be super fancy, but the thought, care and effort really count. Does he listen to you? Does he know what you like? Is he proactive, or are you always the one organising dates? 6 months is not that long. I'd put the ball in his court. Sit back and observe.

Wow, the gatekeeping. Even at 47kg - 48kg and going to gym regularly I still had a little bit of fat on my stomach. All the women in my family store fat there and I've learnt to love it! If a woman is actively working on themselves they can be a HVM, even with fat on their stomach. This is the wrong sub for body shaming.

I understand this is coming from a good and caring place, but we need to stop telling women and girls they are automatically broken because their father was a bad person. By doing that and telling women to get therapy, we are making them responsible for fixing issues (which potentially don't exist for the daughter anymore, especially if there is no contact) caused by men. We give the men who hurt them more power over them by making assumptions about complex situations we have and never will be p…

I just wanted to commend you for cutting off the toxic people in your life! I did the same with my grandfather (father's father) who was extremely cruel in the way he spoke to my mother. I also had concluded my father was a horrible person long before my parents divorced. Society expects us to accept our family no matter what and life is too short to do that. I'm honestly considering just telling acquaintances and people at work that my father is dead. He hasn't been in my life for 10 years but …

Until he gives you reason to think otherwise, a potential subtext of this could be: "I want to date a high earning woman who won't rely on me financially and is prepared to split costs, including dinners/dates. I want her to be independent and self sufficient so she doesn't need to look to me for emotional support." He may legitimately just want to date an ambitious woman though, but it's hard to know straight up. Sometimes guys play the "I'm a feminist" card for brownie points and they'll usual…

In my opinion LVM lust after HVW, who they would consider high maintenance if they actually got a chance to date them. A HVM would not consider the same woman high maintenance though. LVM want a HVW without having to put in any effort basically.

Yes. This is a tough one. I realised I learnt to like it from my first boyfriend, who was into it purely from porn. I carried this over into subsequent relationships, as I thought it was totally normal and expected. In reality, a lot of guys are quite weirded out by it, but will often go along with it. It took me reading FDS recently and examining my attitude towards sex for me to realise that my sexuality had been shaped by my first boyfriend's porn habits, when I was too young to really know a…

Sorry, I should have clarified that my comment was more aimed at the general conversation here and not your post. :) The sarcasm wasn't lost on me. I got a bit sidetracked when I read about everyone saying sex workers can just take the LVM off our hands. At the end of the day, some of these men are really awful. Yes! Totally agree. A lot of owners don't have time for even budgies or cockatiels when they realize they need a lot of time, training and stimulation. Then they wonder why their bird isn't social! They're amazing creatures but not the right animal for most pet owners unfortunately.

You're amazing! I totally agree that women need to share these things. In addition to abortion, I think women are also discouraged from sharing the negatives of pregnancy and childbirth, which makes me really sad when I hear women give birth and are uninformed about the ways it affects their body. I'm so sorry you had to deal with protestors by the way. I honestly don't know how that is legal.

Kind of off topic, but this is also the case with the way society perceives being passionate about something. An Australian writer, Yve Blake, created a really interesting musical called Fangirls which is about these highschool girls obsessed with a band. Everyone sees them as psychos since they are obsessed with this band and scream at concerts etc. even though their male counterparts are seen as totally normal when they scream and yell at football matches. While on the topic of showing your hand, I've seen a few screenshots here where people are chatting with guys and are using terms like "high value woman" and "d*ck is abundant and low value". If the guy is switched on enough he's going to google it and land here.
