In Belgium, alimony is considered only for children, and only if more than 50% custody is in place. If 50% custody is in place, no alimony is required.

I feel like you're projecting a lot a things. The kid will be alright, they are way more resilient than we are. Maybe you're actually affraid you will miss her every 2 days. It's alright to feel like that. Try using that time to prepare the days you will spend with her. Heads up! You're not alone, were're all here for you!

I was under constant abuse, till the point I developed mild PTSD and erectile disfuncions on emotional basys. I still hope she will at least come to realize the harm she caused me.

You are but alone in your life. Marrying someone does not means you should identify with that person or whatever marriage tends to make out of you. Never ever forget who you are. Don't go marrying someone on a hunch or a feeling. Calculate, be strategic about it. A marriage is not a fairy tale, but a silent war.

To some degree, I'm in the same place. Luckily, we're already divorced, unlucky still living together and having a child, no perspectives into changing anything any time soon. What I've learned is you better bite the bullet when giving the chance. You might be attracted to her, and probably vice-versa, but life together is so much more!

I'm not out of the woods yet. The first thing I've realized is she didn't see me as a person in the first place. She never even tried understanding me, yet alone gave me consolation. I never got a good word out of her, and the only times I received a compliment or act of kindness was when social syatus-quo was on the line or when she benefited from doing so. I'm still living under the same roof, just because we're living abroad, have no friends here, no job, difficulties in speaking the speaking…

I've always been more open. To some degree, I wish my ex would have cheated. The way I see things is, if she feels like going out with somebody else, it would have been alright with me, as long as the family would have been alright. A family is more than sex or some monogamy vow, is about the people involved being there and helping each other, despite what they are doing under the sheets. I would really like reading your story.

Donations. I don't know how law is where you live, but here donations are mare in personal name and are not considered income, therefore not mandatory to share with spouse. If the law is the same there, you figure it out how, what, and when.

And mine as well. I guess this is the harsh true of a divorce. The story is as old as times: men are incapable of emotional maturity, wemen are incapable of speaking their mind; wemen disconect from relationship, man still being comfortable in the marriage. Wemen drop the nuke, men get nuked. Wemen moved on, men still nuked.

Try some sports. For me, darts really helps. Just focusing on the throw keeps my mind off of what it hurts.

My STBXW sounds just like her! Except mine did not even want to seek counseling! Living with her is like living with a nuke.

She can get a loan to pay your part. If you both can not agree on the sum, check with a lawyer agreed book keeper

My stbxw just criticized me for staying 1hr at the gym and not getting back in half hour as she would expected me to, without even noticing me she needs me back in half hour. This is the kind of BS she pulled on our whole relationship.

I left all my friends and family and moved abroad for her. Now, I'm stuck abroad, in a full shitstorm, having a kid, barely understanding the language and having almost no friends. You are lucky, being able to get back to your crew.

Maybe you feel like you could have done better for the kids. Or maybe you feel like you could have done better by not getting involved in the first place. Or maybe you feel that way because you are taking the failure as your inability to succeed.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
