It’s like this ninja - I’m told my opinion is shared by the majority yet the downvoted suggest otherwise. I know logic might escape idiots.

what the fuck did i just read..... man i hate this sub sometimes. "women getting raped is their own fault" is EXACTLY what you are saying... Edit: fuck you. I have subscribed to this sub for years and the amount of pseudo bullshit that you guys have bought into is incomprehensible. I have gone through many things in my life that fit into the “original” basis for this sub. What I replied to is fucking garbage. Hey, if you don’t want to get robbed, don’t work at a bank. Retards. That’s been some of the response that I have seen in other social media - from men and women - but you cannot treat every father like a potential killer.... and the only solution is that this mother should be charged criminally...

i believe the OP subject is about whether to eliminate the statute of limitations for sex assault cases. I was just pointing that some jurisdictions have already done that.
/r/MensRights26/11/14 12:11 PM

or the exact opposite, wherein the accuser was actually raped or sexually assaulted and has come forward years later. I live in Ontario. There is no statute of limitations on sex assault cases. That's why there's been a number of criminal and civil cases that have come forward in the last 15 years dealing with historic church and institutional cases. Most of these cases involve children. a limitation defence is essentially a technicality. i realize this is r/mensrights and there is a lot of conc…

this is the right answer. his crime was premeditated. her actions were barely criminal as she clearly had a mental health issue. as i have said before, this is NOT an MRA issue.
/r/MensRights01/02/14 12:37 AM

this has nothing to do with this article. this whole thread is perpetuating an impossible example of what is "men's rights"...
/r/MensRights01/02/14 12:29 AM

i don't know... maybe, its just me. but this woman clearly had psychiatric issues... she should get a long sentence JUST because she is a woman. it just doesn't strike me as being a MRA issue. edit: this is a woman who clearly had a mental health issue... this is not a "apples to apples" type situation. this is reddit sensationalism. and if you guys think MRA is about that.. then fine.. but its not a mens rights issue. (im a man)

innocent until proven guilty is fundamental to our western democratic society dating back to ancient Romans... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presumption_of_innocence false rape claims may be rare, but we live in a society that believes that it is "better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer"

/r/MensRights24/12/12 12:53 AM

there are legitimate complaints that have sparked the rise of the men's right movements. this thread confirms that 99% of this subreddit is shit and panders to the lowest women hating denominator. MRM get a lot of flack and negative attacks and this is why. and the negative attitude towards the MRM is deserved. downvote me to oblivion.
/r/MensRights23/12/12 11:25 PM

this is incorrect. a common law spouse does have some rights of a married spouse. but the courts have stated that if you want the rights of married people (i.e. property rights) get married.

nope. alimony (support) is to recognize that a couple share in a couple's wealth at the end of a relationship. and to recognize that one party has given up the opportunity to build a career by staying home to raise the family.

For the record, i did not mean "a lot of talk" on reddit, i was referring specifically to mainstream US media. in fact, i figured that this post would be met with some consensus and sympathy to this movement calling our sisters, and mothers... whores... chill...
/r/MensRights09/03/12 04:19 PM

and i think your last comment is the point... calling women who use birth control "whores" or "prostitutes" is missing the point that we all have sex, some of us have a lot, and birth control is crucial...

how does the author of this article know that each of those "troll's" are who he says they are? i get the point of his article - men's rights is a dirty word. but how does he know each of those posts that he has pointed were written by the handful of "journalists" that he claims?
/r/MensRights14/02/12 01:57 PM

and i in now way condone a definition of rape that includes a different definition for woman than man. but to what you are saying.... if she or he changes his mind... then consent (or lack thereof) is established. and whether he/she is on drugs/alcohol does not matter.
/r/MensRights24/07/11 04:12 PM

i think that's the whole point about when a rape is a rape? you have an obligation to determine when consent is diminished. if a woman does not have the capacity to say anything than an absolute yes, then you have the ability and obligation to determine that consent is diminished. there is no gray area. and this includes a diminished capacity due to alcohol/drugs.
/r/MensRights24/07/11 03:59 PM
3

the proposed change to the definition DOES NOT include any time a man has sex with a woman and she has imbibed any amount of alcohol. the amount of alcohol or drugs that she has consumed must be to the point where she is unable to give consent. consent is the key here. not the alcohol/drugs. stop being inflammatory and actually read what is in front of you.

although it is ultimately every parent's personal choice, when speaking with my friend's who are pregnant, i make a point of expressing my utter disgust with the practice and disappointment that they would consider it an option. in all fairness, i do the same when they suggest that they might have their newborn baptized and cleaned off its "original sin"
