okay fine i’m talking about male sexual entitlement then. “Male sexual entitlement is the belief that men are owed sex on account of their maleness… Online pornography is one area of concern to me and where sexual entitlement is clear. As well as men often being depicted as the person with power, we see violence and misogyny being normalised…Male entitlement is on open display in the real world too. It’s in the way women are told to “smile” by complete strangers, it’s in the cat-calling, the har…

this translates into entitlement because i know someone who was raped and murdered because she rejected a guy. he followed her back to car. she was so young and and going to college with a mutual friend of mine. so yeah i do think a lot men are entitled.

does sexual assault and domestic violence ring any bells? the amount of cases against men that have been rejected is astronomical. how dense do you have to be

I agree that women are loved more but it’s not a luxury when men are in our dms sending unsolicited comments. the majority of women don’t dm men and hit on them is bc we know how creepy is feels.

not saying it isn’t but i never see any advocacy for it. FGM is advocated and there are known foundations and non profits to donate to. MGM isn’t talked about enough, and there aren’t really any “big” mens rights groups. i’m not saying there shouldn’t be but men can’t really get mad that FGM is more talked about when they aren’t doing anything for their own.

i am confused. isn’t feminism only like pro women supremacy?
/r/AntiFeminists17/01/22 08:01 PM

exactly, some issues between men and women are not even comparable
/r/AntiFeminists16/01/22 04:52 AM

feminists don’t actively advocate against MGM because circumcisions are a legal/religion practice. it’s not a double standard, it’s just that FGM is a bigger issue than MGM

this doesn’t have to do with feminism but i hope for the sake of this sub we can all agree genital mutation on boys/women is bad and should be illegal

whoops i worded that bad. i meant that feminist are fighting against that. but youre saying you don’t want to follow “gender roles” but your wife has to?
/r/AntiFeminists03/01/22 04:44 PM

that is quite literally why women fight for feminism?

so would align yourself with supporting gender equality instead?

no where in this post does it state that this sub is directly “anti women”, however comment sections in this sub do get filled with directly sexist comments (like sexist comments on FDS) it goes both ways which is why the core of this sub is gender equality

how do you expect women to respect this kind of opinion when you’re literally saying “it is not my fault you can’t keep* your legs close” like i completely understand your post and how it can work on a mutual level for both genders but come on man

right lol it’s all the same people commenting on every post too, like just say you hate women and move on. should be named r/ spot the misogynist. the fragile egos and victim complex top it off

Why would I comment back to you 14 hours ago and then now lol. That was a different user. Yes we are around the same age. Sure if I was just majoring in sociology and not minoring in anything, yeah not a lot of jobs but rich in education that’s for sure. Sure the comments might like look satire because you laugh with the comments while women are the butt of the joke, it doesn’t make it any better. I’m not butthurt* lol I commented knowingly it was up for a discussion which isn’t such a bad thing…

Lol i’m not taking advice from a 19 year old boy but thank you for the input! Sociology is actually really important social science but hey if you don’t understand it, just say so! You’re right there is a history of misandry, homophobia, racism, but also transphobia and sexism. Not good ideals and those are spewed from the people that claim they are “feminist” which gives the whole theory a bad reputation. Yes Susan B Anthony wasn’t a good person, as well as a whole lot of other so called “femin…

well as a sociology major and having much experience in the field i feel as if i do have the place to talk about issues like these. I have the authority since I do happen to be a women and can actually speak on these issues. Feminism goes hand in hand with conflict theory which should say enough on it’s own. You’re right, feminism isn’t about equality, it’s about focusing on the gender inequality and breaking the glass ceiling. Emma Watson has the platform to speak for a reason and also amazing …

if you have this attitude i don’t think you fully grasp the idealism of feminism. i don’t personally align with feminism however i do believe in equality as any person should. there are tons of younger women spewing out negativity about males which sparks the argument “not all men”, now this can be easily reversed by saying not all women hate men. neither gender wants to be grouped in and generalized with the negative people of their ideals. It’s just comments like these that spark the negative …
