I got really comfortable being alone. A few years ago I got off social media, & not a fan of dating apps. I own a coffee shop & day trade for work. I do lots of concerts & camping trips, cook, box, so I have plenty of hobbies and friends to do them with. There's a tolerance of bs that's really low at this point. Im not interested in dating anyone who I'm not comfortable raising kids with. The long term thinking rules out so many people instantaneously. Chronically online, no hobbies, always suck…

Sorry, should have been clearer. I agree with Steinbeck and the communism bad idea here.

Capable individuals and limited governments. Sounds good to me.

For starters, do you ever let any of them know you think they're attractive/cute? Until you do, they may not even consider you a sexual possibility. After/ during a conversation that's going well, I've dropped " you're fun, any bf/gf/husband/wife/children/cats in the picture?" They laugh, I get a yes or no. If yes, I say cool, we're gonna be friends and just continue on. If single, I pause, give a little smirk and say "interesting..." and then continue the banter. Many will disagree with this ap…

You came onto her. You guys had good chemistry. She's seeing someone, you continue the banter. She saw you with a pretty girl. She blocked you. Sound about right? Sounds like insecurity and a bit of jealousy on her end. She likes you and is trying to distance herself from you to "do the right thing." I'd move on from her, but keep talking to her like nothing happened. Don't let her know you care about it. Ambivalence is powerful. If she's seeing someone why would you be wrong for talking to some…

I'm more concerned that you keep finding yourself in this situation. If you're dating them just for the sex, stop. Dating means relationship. Have casual fun with them first and if that chemistry is there and you want to go further, then they get to date you.

Damn! You're more comfortable approaching than I am. But I was thinking that it'd be really useful for people on here see footage of your interactions, get a sense for where there's potential to improve on. Maybe find a private forum where that'd be possible to protect your anonymity.

Thanks for the clarification. Have you considered working someone, whether a coach or just someone ahead of you in the dating game?

Sounds like you have some shame or potential embarrassment around the idea of talking to strangers because of the age thing. Are you comfortable enough to talk to everyone when you're out? Compliments and directions type stuff? If not, I'd say start there. Practice approaching + openers to subcommunicate you're a normal guy. Once that's locked in, move on to connection and conversation. There's nothing unnatural about a single man talking to a single woman as long as everyone's consenting. It's …

Same tactics used for different intentions. Leadership is also manipulation.

I'm breeding an army Genghis Khan style. No rubbers. Just kidding. Bring your own. The risk is too high. I'm at an age now where I won't sleep with someone unless I trust them. Not saying you have to go that far, but this isn't something to take a chance on.

How many guys your age do you know who have it together like you do? It's going to be the same with women- not very many. Have a realistic view of the situation and then filter for quality. It's ok to have standards, but ultimately the girl gets to say yes or no. Have fun. You're in a good place at your age.

Dating someone you're not attracted to but get along with is basically just hanging out with friends. Pretty messed up for both people involved because of the expectations that go with dating. Be honest with yourself and with her. Nothing good comes of starting a relationship based on a lie.

Strong retard logic. Of course you'd want your coach care about your success. Imagine having gone through the pain of being forever alone, then having figured it out beyond your wildest dreams. Then you want to help others who also have that pain. But when you try to show others the way, they sabotage themselves. It's very frustrating. The rant is warranted. An occasional brisk kick in the ass is still a step forward.

"So often our self-worth and self-esteem are determined by some form of external validation. For some people it’s a promotion at a job, having their book become a bestseller, or selling their startup. For others, it’s their romantic partner. But as long as you’re trying to fill a void with something external, you’ll be attempting to fill a bottomless pit. When one problem gets solved, another one shows up." He certainly nails the external validation and self-worth bit.

If you find yourself getting caught up, maybe you're doing too much too quickly. In the same way that asking a cute girl for the time is less intimidating than asking for her number when you're starting out, you should do the same for your conversations. How about just talking to someone to get to know what makes them tick? Or to bullshit and have fun? Go into it with the sole intention of bullshitting and having a conversation. Don't worry about getting numbers or lays. Once you get comfortable…
