Past studies do show higher infidelity rates, but the gap is VERY narrow now due to increased abundance in rights and pay and less social judgement. Along with this, reporting infidelity has much higher social stigma for women than men (cheating feels more allowed than if a woman cheats), so I believe underreporting exists. Now due to feminism, women get to focus more on looks and preferences since the gender pay gap doesn't exist anymore in the West. Women do 100% also struggle so this blanket …

I'd rather my girl not be with other men or chase other men. It's a pretty simple reason why I prefer it.

When did monogamy get introduced? Also, what's wrong with wanting monogamy? Viewing that as compromise doesn't seem so bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 04:04 PM

soooo....anomoly. No hate of course, its great that you have experience and found connection.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 07:05 AM

LGBTQ+ exist, btw, and it's a lot more prevalent in women (gen z)
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 07:01 AM

If women are less straight, they are more bi, more lesbians. That's direct competition.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 07:00 AM

Boss, almost 10% of US adults are LGBTQ+.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/26 06:58 AM

Can you back all those assumptions about Gen Z men? I know they have fewer friends, but is there any research that, the way you put it, is the way it happens? Also, about 1 in 3 men are obese in America (BMI is not as good of a health indicator as many think), and 1 and 4 women are obese. It's not like these women are choosing the men; it's rare, if at all. But these women are likely to choose higher (in terms of SMV) than themselves. And men are inherently more lazy too? With the crisis of frie…

No, not really; we can just say that both sides do it, and I have yet to fully conclude that men do it more. But it's funny that you say men view consideration as a compliment, like that's something only men do. Phrased as all men do this.

I believe since humans have been shaped by our rationality, 100s of years of different social standards of what is good-looking and what isn't, again brought on by culture, we are different. Humans are way too diverse to categorize into "evolution = gold standard. " We are a mix of nature vs. nurture. Think of attraction (included test levels) as like a spark, but other factors are the actual fire. There is evidence to show men and women do prefer more feminine and masculine features repectively…

Nah people validate each other on insta by being cruel

Women 100% do the same thing. One of my friends has autism, and women make fun of him and talk about when they get the chance and laugh about it. He is super kind, and he gets made fun of for literally existing. I also would concede that men can be cruel, but these comments, I think, largely stem from the inherent need for social validation to be funny, and what's funny on instagram? Making fun of others.

Sure, some of the comments are hateful, but they are just trying to be funny (in bad faith, of course). At the end of the day, I can show you just as many women that hate on men.

Until I see like full on evidence of it, I cant believe it.

How would you even begin compiling enough evidence to justify it's a "mob"? I don't know how many people that could be.

Oh, it seems you're confusing something. I think we both know most men don't say that. And I agree, men CAN be hurtful. I think the way you must have thought about it is that men don't think we can be hurtful at all.

I don't think this conclusion can be justified with a handful of online rhetoric.

So, uhhh, yeah, the women made a video calling a guy for bad behavior cool. No problems there. But to say that all men are like this is obviously not true. The dude is just arguing that many young men struggle and many young women hate and generalize men. Fair point. But after pointing out some of the issues in your post, you became defensive and started arguing in bad faith and hurling comments at the guy. "I found proof of you hating women too. I am not sure why men are so passionate about ins…

I can agree that "be nice" is mostly what we have heard most of our lives. If it is true, then it doesn't explain the fact that many nice, kind men don't seem to gain any sort of attraction from women. One movie that comes to mind instantly is Spider-Man, but I don't watch movies all that much, so I don't know much more.

So I guess what you're asking for is a peer-reviewed study with a representative sample of society and asking them these questons. Fair.

Nah man, you can be sad someone rejected you without blaming anyone for it. Just because women have the agency to choose doesn't give you the chance to say that your problems in life or even the dating market are their fault. Yes, standards play a role, and it seems that those standards are rising. You can blame the system (social media, feedback loops, etc.) for that issue, not the women (unless it's ABSOLUTELY unreasonable). But for the most part, it's not. Just move on and do something. There…

OK, women want different things; that's fair. But you have two options to the question he just asked. Do women want unattractive men to approach them, yes or no? The most logical answer is that there could be some women who want men to approach them regardless of their looks. But denying the reality entirely creates a problem; you would agree to the point that attractiveness is important. But there is a distinction to be made; wanting and reacting are two different things. It could be true that …

Yeah, I am a student. It gets better at school, but many still use it the second they get off school and try to sneak it in class ALL THE TIME. It was more like a suggestion for most of the people in school. Including me, although I actively try not to use it.

Gen A or Gen Z?

It is, and if it isn't, it's going to be the biggest soon.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 10:53 PM

I just wanted an opinion lmao. It's not that hard to either say, "Yes, I care if they're attractive," or "Nah, I don't mind it." And also give your experience on what you've seen before. This was purely a question for understanding, not a personal grievance.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 06:23 AM

So big word summarized, both sexes compare themselves to set a standard on their worldview and become more outward in their negative perception?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 05:44 AM

No you didn't. I just want to know how much women value having great traits other than attractiveness (i.e., listed in the previous comment). The only thing I got from your comment was the fact that women don't like neediness, not exactly what my hypothetical was trying to convey.

Wow, that's a well-thought-out answer. Social culture can change, and hopefully that starts with education. You mentioned you were a teacher, so I respect that to the best of my ability. You guys are very underappreciated. Teachers can change students' entire life trajectories, and they don't get paid enough to care about doing that.

And is the solution an egalitarian society?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 12:30 AM

But that's not what I asked. I never specified that the "nice" guy is doing that because that's his only option. I just gave this hypothetical character some traits and compared him. So do these traits on an unattractive guy scream, "She's his only option to get laid," to you?

Summary: Many marriages are built on rigid and dangerous social expectations that drain both people.

So what happens after they strike up a conversation? Does the woman just move on? The point of cold approaching is to date, so if they actually do have good social skills but are not a 7/10+, they just get rejected anyway, right?

I am not sure what he meant by "average loser." Does he mean someone under 5/10 or in that average range? If it were someone that doesn't take care of himself and is mean, I would understand, but is it still revolting if they are nice, respectful, and caring but might not be conventionally attractive?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 11:15 PM

I would also like to ask, do you think women think success in fields counts as attractiveness? I do understand moving up the social ladder does count as some form of attractiveness, but what about endeavors that don't necessitate a social upgrade? For example, publishing papers, making a non-profit, doing more at work but not getting a promotion. Another question: if a woman settles or marries a man that is average, does she keep thinking about the actual conventionally hot men that she might ha…
