Boys aren't being denied access wtf like all (edit: most of, don't take this literally. It's maybe 9/10) the scouts I meet are dudes? I used to get my own room for being the only "girl" lmao. When I went to KISC in 2015, one of my Leaders (1 of 4 with us) was the first female Leader they'd had go up the mountain (one of their harder routes) with us. I will admit that there do seem to be more female Leaders in the younger groups (Beavers, Cubs) but then there's more male Leaders at Scouts & Explo…

Not a girl. Also, even if the stats are accurate, the problem is STILL not integration. It's sexual harassment culture. I'm aware that false claims happen & that we need to have more determent from filing a false claim but the solution is not segregation & it never has been.

I'd never heard of any of this. There were about 5 girls in my ~40 troop (and having been a Beaver Scout Young Leader 3y ago in a troop with NO girls I do find your statistics a bit doubtful, from personal experience), leaders were guys, we never experienced a problem. I was talking about personal experience. And yes there is a leader shortage but I've never heard it connected to sh claims til now - most of the leaders I run into are dudes.

As a Scout in the UK I did hiking/mountaineering, shooting, archery, camping, pioneering, everything the guys did. And so did the rest of the girls. Because surprisingly the girls who are drawn to Scouting do not tend to be very feminine at all & would very much like to join in the activities that are already being done in Boy Scouts.

Never a problem in the UK. Literally never. I came up as a girl* through the UK system and there were plenty of dirty jokes and stuff like that trust me. Some of it I could probably have reported but it never crossed my mind. Some of it was overheard by Leaders and they did nada (it was harmless fun - I wouldn't have wanted them to). *FTM, was not out during my time at Scouts

Sexual harassment was never a concern when I came up through the UK scouts. Boys & girls together in every section. And yes, we were allowed to be unsupervised (once we reached an appropriate age obviously)
