It's one of the things I've tried to think about on how to add to stories myself. There's gotta be a way, and just like all literature, it absolutely can help. Literature connects reality to emotion, and exposes people to ideas and experiences in a way that is able to more often bypass their defenses.

I've been struggling to figure out how to explain it, but this new 'go to therapy' line is incredibly frustrating. I haven't been able to fully describe why though. It's frustrating because the way that feminism / gender, race, etc. theory functions is that you have to assume it's right, so there's no possible way to look from a different perspective. My guess is that it's because it's very difficult to speak out about it. The environment is insanely toxic, and even reasonable takes get you looked at funny. I won't disagree that the left is extremely fucky about the groups it doesn't care about (straight, male, white) - but also I think it's super unhealthy to identify with being an incel. Yep. Misandry and a lot of shitty things said about straight people. I understand why, and where it comes from, but it still sucks. My experience mostly came from BDSM communities where people would just say off color shit about cis people and straight people, and men.
