Dude, he made a joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/22 12:34 AM

It’s so funny I have a friend who is the same height as me and because I am only used to people being bigger I alwaays feel like she’s waaaay tinier than me.

Idk not to me. I am used to people being 8“ taller than me and I barely notice it.

Uhmm I was not debating RP theory, I just said men have no concept of what women look like? Lol

The article only says that men „prefer women in their early twenties“, that doesn’t mean it’s good or ok.

Not really insulted but it's like "good for you man, but idk what that gotta do with me lol". Men will literally fuck anyone so you telling me you wanna fuck me is really a no brainer to most women.

I don’t see how that’s a mistake. Neve had a negative experience being open about it.

Modern society doesn't cancel out our instincts. It just tries to contain them That's not what I meant. I meant some evolutionary mechanisms are canceled out. If you have terrible sight you wear glasses, it's not something that'll impact your life anymore. Just like birth control has changed how people engage in sex for example. It's ubiquity shows it's biology, not nurture. Ubiquity might mean there was evolutionary advantages to that in the past, but they might have changed by now. Biologogy d…

Evidence? I don't think many women lie about it anymore. I've never done so and I am one of these highly debated high n count females. Hell I was an escort for a while which I am also very open about and I was never rejected because of that by men who truly cared about me. It's almost like people who care about you have sympathy for your past, no matter how deviant it might be...

Still doesn't tell whether nature or nurture. Also modern society cancels a lot of biology.

I actually looked at the study for a minute and I found it a little confusing. They mix different measures inside the tables and I can't quite figure out what their statistical model was. But I find it interesting so I will have another look later and actually read it front to back when I get to it.

You are deriving an ought from an is. Just because all you've seen is white swans doesn't mean it isn't possible to one day see a black one.

Also I wan to add: in the animal kingdom there's lots of different mating styles. That is a biological fact. Humans seem to have diverse mating behavior and the only way to criticize that is by using morality which is not a biological but a cultural argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/22 08:20 PM

But biologists or neuroscientists don’t talk about this lol. It’s evolutionary psychologists that have no expertise in biology. That’s my issue. And we have no means in determining what patterns stem from biology or from culture. There is no data on that.

I think the causality is the other way around. Difficulties bonding RESULTS in high n but high n does not necessarily result in difficulties bonding. So just because someone has high n doesn’t say much about their relationship skills.

I don’t really know what to reply anymore because all your statements are so absolute and based on nothing but empty assumptions. I don’t see any way of debating when you’re not even open to at least consider other perspectives.

Of course you have. Ok lol. If you say so. For sex? Sure. For relationships? No. Again, that is your personal anecdotal evidence. Mine is different. My boyfriend is actually glad I am experienced because he feels like our relationship threatened by the fact I might wake up one day with the thought of having missed out on something. I've had it all, seen it all, now I'm ready to settle down and so is my boyfriend, what's so hard to believe about that. You don't need a lot of dicks to grow as a per…

I have not had the experience that men actually give a damn honestly. A good hand full actually like an experienced gal. But aside from that, with my comment I just wanted to express, that most people don’t live their life with a certain strategy. They just explore what makes them grow. Life is not a video game with certain quests in place. The town bike thing I really disrespectful honestly. You’re free to dislike sexually very active women but no need to say something like that. The rest of yo…

How about women just do what feels right to grow as a person and learn what they want and need in life. I never understood why for some reason more experience should in any context be a bad thing. Comments like yours make me so tucking tired. I feel like this sub has aged me about 50 years lol.

It all depends. If I see him working on his trauma/problem/whatever I will be much more inclined to wait for longer but if I feel like he just loses himself in all that I will probably express concern and if he still doesn’t work on it I’ll leave. Fact is, you can’t repair people, it has to come from within them. If he’s not planning on getting better there’s nothing I can do and staying with him will make us both unhappy.

Honestly I don’t even get how you can proclaim these things with such confidence when you have zero numbers to back it up. high n count women are plentiful Are they? Is there statistics on that? Lol. Also this whole construct of gatekeeping sex confuses me. Wouldn’t it be good then if women start fuckkng more so sex becomes more available to you poor men? Lol.

AND THATS where the hypocrisy of men like you becomes so obvious it’s impossible to not see. I chose my wife and not the over girls. Exactly. That’s why it doesn’t matter who you fucked before. WHY THE HELL would it be different for women? They chose their husbands, not the other dudes they fucked. What’s the big deal?

Omg are you really this dumb or are you just pretending lol. There’s something called science that observes reality and there’s people called scientists that write their findings into papers so you can read them.

You don’t present any evidence though that it does cause friction. I’ve had the opposite experience, a lot of the times men like learning from a woman who knows more. And eventually you get on the same page with what you do sexually in the relationship.

I took a quick look at the studies and it doesn't really impress me. In science, especially social science, studies that were conducted 70 years ago would never be cited as reliable sources. Also Kinsey did receive some good amount of methodological criticism even back in the days. Most go the studies in that post are at least 20 years old. It is not scientific best practice to use studies that old and I would not base anything on their findings.

"As multiple studies suggest, High n count is a red flag for both genders. " Uhmmm no. Studies do not imply morals. What is a red flag or not is subjective. Also weather marital stability is a good thing or not us up to debate. Back in the days all marriages were stable cause divorce was not an option. Does that mean that these marriages were beneficial? No. So maybe marital instability now is just all the non-beneficial marriages breaking apart which would be a good thing. And I strongly believ…

I won't. Things are the way they are and all of us have a burden to bear. I am not trying to make a case for who has it worse. The only reason why I am commenting here is to shed some light on this topic because I want people to understand that sex work is not as harmless as they might think.

Because I was in University and my regular job didn't pay enough and my parents didn't support me. I needed the additional income. And I was sexually very open so I thought it would be fine.

I was an escort. I did it while having a regular 20h/week job and going to university. The money I made on my regular job just was not enough to account for emergencies so I decided to do escort to feel a little safer financially. most of them tested/violated the boundaries Exactly. That is exactly my experience. They think they can get away with anything because it is so easy for them to just take what they want. If you go to the hairdresser and request a service they don't want to provide it's a lot harder to make them do it so sex workers are in an especially vulnerable place. However, highly vetted escorts (the ones who enjoy it) and clientele (the ones that clearly understand what boundaries are and have money to giv…

I at least partly second this. I was an escort, I initially started because I wanted to but after a while it started eating up my soul. Mean will try to negotiate over your limits and your body which really takes a toll on you. But I also don't see any good enough arguments to ban sex work. I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I was an escort for about a year. I know men like you. Not a fan, after all I’ve seen. Sex with a power imbalance in real life is just the worst. Men think just because the pay they can do whatever they like. Be rude, try to beg to not use a condom, be rough without previously discussing that and far worse stuff. From my experience the good guys who just want to pay for sex are the minority, most men who do that have some dark issues.

5' girl here who had height requirements in the past. I liked the big height difference because it kinda turned me on, looking back I think this was more of a fetish I had for a while than an actual requirement. My parents are both very short. I liked tall, big guys until I met my current boyfriend. He's 5'8 and skinny and I love him just the way he is. I never wished he was bigger. I do see a lot of these women even in real life but I think this is mostly them having toxic ideas about what men should be like (strong, wealthy, etc.). But this is absolutely not exclusive to women. I see just as many men asking „where are the good/real women“ with the same toxic ideas of what a women should be like (not promiscuous, quiet, submissive).

Okay, you got a point there. Still I think the fear of being raped is greater than the fear of being stolen from. I actually took a minute to think about why and I think the reason might be that women continuously have to face the discomfort of being sexually harassed, catcalled and stared at, it is part of our everyday life so we are generally more careful about not getting worse things to happen than most people are about being stolen from.

While I disagree with the decision of your family to get a female driving instructor and I totally despise the judicial system being sexist against men I want to give you a different female perspective on the perceived danger of men. Sure, not all men are rapists and assuming they are is dumb and wrong. But where it differs from your black example is the perceived danger and possibility to recover. Being stolen from sucks but likely is something you'll get over quickly. Rape however is tied to d…

Nymphomania is primarily a female problem because so few men have access to that level of temptation. Nymphomania is not about how much sex or temptation you have. The entire sex act is male predation. Will literally stab you with a blunt instrument to reach satisfaction. Most female sex fantasies involve dominance and rape in some way. Lucky humans are, unlike other animals, able to reason and detach from bullshit like that. As someone who is active in the BDSM community I know what you mean, b…

Yeah no psychiatrist ever would say it only applies to women. That kinda is the point. Nymphomania is a problem in both genders. Go watch the movie "shame". Some women just want the cash and prizes Sure, some women want kids and marriage no matter what or how, some are gold diggers, but the vast majority of women just wants to be themselves and find companionship with someone likeminded. And I think labelling all men predators by nature is not gonna help y'all in court when accused of rape, just…

It doesn’t apply to men because we’re predators and women are prey. I hope you're joking. Nymphomania is a hallmark of many personality disorders for a reason. But why not for men then? Women settle for men to have kids and collect cash and prizes. Not everyone wants kids. It’s not bullshit. Eat Pray Love sold millions of copies because it resonated with millions of women who are unhaaaaaapy that they never got to wife up Chad. I hated that movie, can't relate.

Women who fuck around are low value due to how easy it is. It’s also usually a sign there’s something wrong with them upstairs. Why does this not apply to men though? That's just a bunch of misogynistic bullshit. Women settle for less attractive men every day, but they aren’t really attracted to them. It’s a financial decision, like investing in a mutual fund. Women settle for men they feel an emotional connection with. The rest is just in your head. Most women do not generally love their husban…

Men have to be reasonably high value to have a high n-count, so women tend to value them more. That is such a bad argument because you could say the exact same about women. Instead, women are seen low value with high n-count because of arbitrary misogynistic reasons. Women only really want the top 5% of men who all have high n-counts due to how much free pussy is thrown at them, so they pretend not to care in the hope they can join the queue. That's sooooooo not true, I see red pillers pulling t…

They're still free to behave as they wish That is a really bad argument. Technically, yes, everyone can behave as they please. But being socialized in a society that shames women for living their sexuality as they please, raising girls to be "modest" and perpetuating the idea of sexual purity as a means of determining a females worth as a person - that pretty much makes "behaving as they wish" as hard as it can be. Some women experience so much shame around even having a sex drive because of mes…

I agree in the sense that evidence in monkey population supports that parental investment of male individuals declines, yes. But we are humans and we differ from other animals in many ways. An intelligent human man could also recognise as he has the chance of being the father of multiple kids he might as well care for all of them. If every man would do that it wouldn’t even be that much work because everyone would be working together to ensure the kids are ok. And once they realize what committi…

And that is why the instinct for preferring virginity goes hand in hand with marriage ..because if a man is going to invest, the girl damn well better be pure. I don't get why you cite that study because it supports zero of your points. They measured peoples opinions on promiscuity based on the type of society they live in. A society where women are generally economically dependent on men is obviously one where women don't work and that indicates a morally conservative background. So all that st…

AHAHAHAHA the instinct to marry virgins. HILARIOUS. We can find all sorts of relationship models and society models in nature. They are merely a means of survival of the species and are not biological necessities. Humans don’t have the instinct to be monogamous, it just happened to be a successful strategy to ensure the species survival. The „marrying virgins“ thing is just a cultural construct to make that strategy work for a large group. It’s not an instinct. It’s not biological. Also may I ju…

Guys will bulk swipe/message to see if they meet the attractiveness standard. Once they get there, they will typically put effort into the messages. And that is where in my opinion you guys go wrong. I get why you're doing it but I think it contributes to the high rejection rate. It leads to low quality first messages that deliver zero sign that you are actually interested in us beyond the fact we are a female. It makes us think you just want a girlfriend for the sake of it, not because we are a…

Honestly, that just made me roll my eyes heavily lol. Obviously you treat humans differently based on social context so you don't treat a potential partner like your dude friends. In a situation where you try to approach a potential love interest online there is a need for a different way of communication than with your dudes. By saying "Treat us like human beings" I meant don't treat us like a price to be won, an enemy to be fought or whatever kind of analogy people have in their heads for wome…

With Tinder you have to match with someone first. You swipe right, they swipe right, you match. Then you can message. But doesn't that back me up? If they already matched with you they found you attractive enough to chat, if you then get rejected it probably is your message, right? if you are a woman anywhere near attractive you are going to have a lot of messages to dig through. So the first whole paragraph is ridiculous. Comparing dating to the workplace is just straight up dumb. Dating is about emotional connection, not about advancing. You want to find your other half, not level up. That analogy is so off I can't believe you chose it. And women do have an advantage. Otherwise we wouldn't have twice as many female ancestors than male. Well, to be fair I've never used dating apps because I am in a relationship for this long so I can't comment on women's bios but chances are they put at least some of their interests in there, right? Pick up on that, show interest in her as a person, that's all I'm trying to say. And if you find her generic and have nothing to work with, would you actually want to date her? Probably not right? But my height plays into me not looking like a scientist. My height makes me look cutesy no matter how I dress, people don’t think scientists look cutesy. Specifically I am a data scientist which is code heavy and assumed to be done by mostly men. But this just goes to show women, in particular small women who look younger and cutesy, face prejudice just like short men.

I am a tiny woman (152cm) and I’ve been like that. As a teen I would say mean things about shorter men and I would never date guys shorter than 180cm. Until I met a man just a little taller than me who swept me off my feet and I realised how dumb and superficial the whole tall thing was. I like masculine men and I always associated height with masculinity which is total bs. Short men can be just as masculine. Just like tall men can be more feminine. Now I just date whoever I like. lol.

And your using false equivalencies I am not. If a woman dresses sexy in the mirror and alone and noone sees then that would be more equivalent. Just because some black people say that about the n-word doesn't mean that it's ok. And the self harm thing: it literally does not matter if it's in private or not. Even if I was harming myself in public wouldn't make it ok for someone to harm me. What I do to myself is inherently consensual. What SOMEONE does to me is not. So no, just because I treat my…

Your examples don’t match your post. „Hey, You’re cute, let’s get a drink“ is not sexualising her and no woman would ever get mad about that. The worst that can happen is her not replying because she’s not interested. You’re building a strawman with this lmao.

The longer I think about this post the less sense it makes. First of all the idea that you should be entitled to sexualise someone because they sexualise themselves is very weird. That’s like demanding to use the n-word on someone because they use it or to harm someone because they self harm. You’re not entitled to treat someone the way you want just because they treat themselves a certain way. Also this principle when taken consistently is ending in „Well with that short skirt you were basicall…
