Holy shit my ex girlfriend (who I share children with) did every. Single. One. Of. These.

I’ve been zeroed out due to addiction issues and have been pouring over the information here to figure out where I fucked up. It’s been invaluable.

True that. He’s not even a glimmer in her eye. She’s over it.

Part of me wants to comb through her post history and see if I can find any info on how to give her husband the heads up. Dude sounds like he doesn’t deserve her bullshit.

He gave her the tingles and you were plan b. Sucks. Go be someone else’s plan a.

This is the comment that solidified this as a troll post.

This post legitimately made me nauseous. I couldn’t imagine being so far in the clouds I was paying for my wife to get fucked in the other room while I was home. Holy shit.

One of us. There’s nothing like your ex wife’s entitlement during a divorce to wake you the absolute fuck right up. I laugh about it now, but that’s because we live in a clown society.

There’s nothing hotter than a chick that you feel like you have to fight for their interest. I get it.

Happened to me after my divorce. I was very much in my head and still allowing my ex wife to firmly root herself onto my ego. Once I realized that and got it in, I was off to the races.

You got zeroed out, my man. Absolutely devastating and excruciating place to be. Talk about complete ego death. Follow the advice of people on this subreddit and you’ll make it out on the other side.

Sounds like he was genuinely stoked to go get a hooker. I almost did after my divorce, but thank God for Tinder.

This hurt me to read. Holy shit you need to man the fuck up. This chick has completely emasculated you and your marriage was over a long time ago.

This right here. This describes the relationship killing behaviors of my ex wife.

I’m outside of Boston and get a massive amount of black women for matches. I’m whiter than a ghost. I don’t understand the algorithm either I guess?

This is so accurate. Once you can kick that addiction you’ll wonder how you could have ever felt that way to begin with.

Look up, “epiphany phase.” This fits that timeline perfectly.

This needs to be the top comment. First thing I thought when I read this was, “this is a fucking shit test and this dude is failing HARD.” Op, you’re about to walk right into the same traumatic situation you had with your wife. Even if she’s not going to outright sleep with him, having male beta orbiters is not a good sign. Establish your boundaries and tell her this shit isn’t cool or get ready for history to repeat itself.

This was brilliantly written. The exact experience I had down to the waking up at three am putting it all together. Fuck that sucked.

I’m waiting for my paperwork to go through the courts and I completely understand what you’re feeling. When the process first started I was in complete denial / shock. I couldn’t eat, sleep or really do anything. I was a zombie. Then after a while I moved into that similar place of hopeful for the future and ecstatic about the new prospects for my life. But now I am consumed by anger and hatred. I keep a happy face for the sake of my child, but inside I absolutely despise my ex. I despise how in…

I think your wife is unhappy and you’re acting like a spazz instead of someone who’s trying to save their relationship. She’s probably unhappy because you’re a spazz and, unconsciously to yourself, actively destroying your relationship. I’m on the other side of divorce and can tell you with the most sincere honesty I can manage to muster; you do not want a divorce. Trust me. I was like you and creating these massive dramas out of seemingly mundane situations because I had made my wife the center…

Why are you wasting time stuck in the frame of a woman who very clearly as zero respect for you and has made it explicitly clear. Can you imagine for a second a scenario where you would have treated her with that same level of disrespect if the roles were reversed? No? Neither could I. Read No More Mr. Nice Guy and realize you’re better off without someone who’s going to try and fuck you over when you’re at your most vulnerable.

I see you on this board all the time and it’s always the reminder I need to reclaim my self worth as a fucking MAN. I appreciate you dude.

“Branch in hand” means monkey branching. Basically it’s when a woman has another potential suitor lying in wait before she decides to make the break from the relationship. Basically swinging from one dude to the next. I think it’s too easy to blame social media for what is essentially female behavior. You get comfortable, stop courting her and stop giving her the illusion that she’s easily replaceable. You then make her and the relationship your primary focus and start neglecting your own dreams…

My story followed the same timeline except replace weed with booze. Suddenly my wife was drinking a ton, (I don’t drink,) and it was grossing me out. Then she’s baiting me with constant social justice warrior debates. Then it was drinking a ton and completely obsessed with TikTok. Flash to a couple months later she’s walking out with another branch in hand. I’m sensing a trend.

Reclaim your juevos man. This chick didn’t want YOU. Fuck longing for someone that had that little regard for the supposed lifetime commitment you both made. Get angry. Get motivated.

YEP. The ability to completely transform the entirety of a relationship in their mind is some fucked up superpower. I don’t even recognize my ex wife anymore.

This is good advice. My soon to be ex and I separated because of my alcoholism and eventually got back together. It turned into three more years of her treating me like shit because of her resentments and mood instabilities. We’re now going through a divorce and I’m kicking myself because I’m starting that healing process all over again. I always told myself once a relationship ended that was it. Now I know to take my own advice.

Love your response. I’ve been spending a lot of time stewing on my ex wife’s new life and wondering how she could be so over the relationship so quickly. The thoughts aren’t helpful and not helping me move on. Your insight is really appreciated.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
