When Pauley got on the line, Richard recalls, his whole face lit up. “I got it! I got the job!” he yelled as soon as he hung up... He swore that this was the best thing that had ever happened to him and said he couldn’t wait to pack up and go... “It was like, maybe this is the turning point, and things are finally going the right way.” There's nothing about this that isn't heartbreaking...

I'm glad Tampa has its priorities straight. I for one could not bare to live in a world where fire hydrants are brought into compliance with regional safety standards by construction crews that fail to assign positions to women based on a predetermined and socially acceptable demographic quota. That would be like reliving Nazism and the great depression.

Couldn't even finish watching; the vitriol is just too appalling.

Zhan told the newspaper that his wife often slapped the baby and clutched him by the neck. However, he thought she was suffering postnatal depression and didn't worry too much. The fuck you say now?

"We were keen for women and children to go first, and men if they had babies or families. A lot of men regardless of that were trying to save themselves." Implying that male self-preservation is socially unacceptable until female self-preseration has been satisfied. Implying further that all things being equal, women have a default right to expect potentially life-saving treatment by virtue of nothing more than the fact they are women.

My list: Read a book. Go for a run Compose a sonnet. Physical and mental self improvement is clearly a tool of the Patriarchy

I noticed that at no point does she actually say no to the guy, push him away or get out of the situation. What is the message here? That everyone is responsible for this woman's actions except the woman herself?

I think that Hugo Schwyzer has deep seated issues with his own sense of masculinity, issues that form the basis of his pretentious misandry. As to 'emasculation', Schwyzer himself wrote in March of 2011 that his inability to perform had led him to "... accept just how toxic and damaging the inflexible masculine idea really was." It would seem that Schwyzer has long since emasculated himself.

I must repeat the response I gave yesterday: Schwyzer is a vile eunuch. I hope for his sake that all that pernicious, holier-than-thou, new age male posturing that he spews forth allows him to compensate for that on-again-off-again erectile disfunction that he's had since high school...

What a vile eunuch this Schwyzer is. It must be nice to be so twisted as to think you have the moral high ground when you and your harpy of an ex-fuck buddy hatch a plan to foist the product of your drunken casual sex onto some poor bastard who legitimately wants to be a father. Of course he never thinks about whether or not Ted WANTS to spent the next two decades dealing with the harpy/eunuch's lapse in judgement. Nor does he stop to think of the child's feelings when he finds out that his lovi…

How on earth can you determine anything about the division of labour when the poll only considers women? At no point does it consider how the men involved might feel about it. The entire point of this drivel seems to be 'women are unhappy, what must men do to make it better?' Absolutely disgraceful...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
