From what I read if you are allowed to give up your parental rights by the court then you don’t have to pay. But they may not allow you to do that if they have cause to believe you’re doing it only to avoid child support and were caring for the kids for a while. I may be wrong though, so please correct me

I must add though I am Indian and Indian culture has had a horrendous problem with sexism against women where rape is still very normalised (just visit any Indian sub) so that’s why the news is still phrased like this. Idk I’m a woman and I did support my fiancé for a few years, but I don’t regret any of it. He’s worth every penny. We got to have an amazing time together and start a business together. Be mindful who you give your money to but I don’t think sharing assets for a short period of time is always a no.
