That makes absolutely no sense. It's always in the best interests of the genes within a woman that she get as much attention from HQ men as possible. It's the HQ men who would have an evolutionary incentive to sense when a woman is no longer fertile.

this Yo, did you see how the cop checked the back of that bystander to see if he was carrying after the by-stander body-slammed the guy? That's what it looks like to me, and that's some quick thinking to make sure the incident wasn't about to get more heated.

You hadn't heard of this REPORT before. New Century Foundation may be a white supremacist group, but they're using data from generally well-regarded sources such as the FBI and the CDC, the BJS, etc. Hardly surprising that a white supremacist group would call attention to these statistics, but you're not actually criticizing the sources they used.

The current state of taxation clearly benefits women. Men earn more, pay more in taxes, and take out less in taxes. That makes taxation at least a passing interest for anyone who is MGTOW. Central banking, destroying the political class... eh, these are fun things to think about, too. Maybe not AS relevant to MGTOW, but are viewpoints shared by many MGTOW.

"They can never take that from us." But they CAN vote for politicians who will tax us to death for daring to be more productive than women. There's a reason why women vote Democrat more than men. And it all comes down to taking money from men and giving it to women.

Actual Libertarianism is one of the most principled politics out there, and should really resonate with MGTOW. I'll agree, Gary Johnson isn't the best Libertarian, but he's more principled than Trump. That being said, I'm definitely voting for Trump this election. Hillary must not win. She'll end up destroying this country.

Or, hell, just not have the director openly hate men! He CLEARLY has severe issues with other men, that he's flagrantly bragged about. Even some anti-SJW people I know said they liked the movie, but not the conversation surrounding the movie. I still wouldn't go see it, but apparently... alienating more than half the potential audience is not a smart move.

God damn, that's actually fucked up. Like, this woman claimed I sexually harassed her, and then she admitted it was not true, but now I have to work with her, where she has MORE opportunity to claim I sexually harassed her. False claims should have SOME consequences, at least.

I had a lot of success on the paleo diet before I joined the military. I lost about 40 pounds. It's gotten a bad rep from people who aren't too disciplined about it. And, granted, eating less calories than you burn is the ONLY way to lose weight. But I found it a lot easier to eat fewer calories when I was eating a lot of lean protein.

Nice strawman you made there. It appears that your argument is that because "the left" isn't an organization that there aren't any sort of social pressures people could use to promote a coherent identity of what "the left" is. In other words, you appear to be suggesting that because "the left" isn't an organization that the label "leftist" has no meaning at all. Yet in the same comment, you talk about "conservatives" using "the left" as a pejorative. Conservatives also aren't an organized instit…

There's a bit of a disconnect between Milo and Steven, and "the left." I think Milo is more aware of it than Steven is, but both fall prey to this. And that's the reality that there's ACTUAL liberals who believe in free speech, freedom of assembly, and other classically liberal beliefs, some of whom identify as leftists. And then there's the "progressive" left (now days frequently being called the "regressive left"), who promote very illiberal ideals, such as censoring speakers, preventing other…

Sure, the Madonna-whore complex is probably a real thing. But it has nothing to do with childhood experiences with the mother. Far more likely, it applies to any guy who puts the pussy on a pedestal, and has grown up with the lie that women don't have any interest in sex. But, of course, if this type of "avoidant man" is a product of early childhood experiences, then why is it so many men go MGTOW after spending years in the dating game? Or even getting married?

All of the ones you quote are clearly illustrating the double-standard, aren't they? The double-standard of "hate crime," because apparently black people can't commit a hate crime against white people... The "sad to see no charges being brought" is questionable, but I think it has more to do with what is mentioned in that last comment about if the roles had been reversed. All the comments I've seen on the "dreadlocks girl" have been more focused on the double standard of her constantly grabbing him and then her saying "don't put your hands on me." The physical contact doesn't seem to be the big issue there. I'm sure some people see the "violence" as the issue, but it's definitely not among most of the groups I follow online.
/r/MensRights30/03/16 11:19 PM

The victim narrative is what is pissing people off. I think the majority of people upset by this aren't upset because of the "violence." None of us think the physical contact was really that big a deal. But it IS a big deal that she kept putting herself in his way and then said HE was to blame for physical contact. If the video were exactly the same, but she hadn't said "don't put your hands on me," no one would be nearly as upset. They'd still be mocking her, because 'mah cultural appropriation…

The video makes it pretty clear. He's trying to walk around her. She keeps grabbing him, and even pulls him back, and she says "don't put your hands on me." No, it's not a normal response for someone to initiate grabbing, keep grabbing, and then say "don't put your hands on me."
/r/MensRights30/03/16 05:35 AM

Physically, not a big deal. But it IS a big deal that she was physically blocking him and grabbing him and then said HE "shouldn't put his hands" on her. The double standard there alone is more concerning than any sort of "violence" involved.

It's a fantastic book that I think anyone interested in understanding men should read. I agree with a lot that Dr. Warren Farrell says, but I will admit that sometimes I believe he falls into some of the same intellectual traps that feminists fall into. Nonetheless, it goes a VERY long way to accurately showing how men actually experience the world. Very few men have the feelings of power that feminists claims come with being a man. Because most men aren't at the top of society, they're stuck tr…

That is how it should be, of course. If the verdict wasn't rendered as "not guilty," then it would be necessary to prove a negative. And that is a much more difficult thing to do. But, by having the option to have a "proven innocent" verdict, you're weakening the assumption of innocent until proven guilty. To people who don't understand the difference, a "not guilty" would be interpreted as "guilty, but not enough evidence to prove it." Even though they very well may be innocent, but not have en…

Maybe men don't show up to hear these women speak because they never talk about the experience of being a man in a way which resonates with men. They'll say things like "men have all the power in the dating world." But that's just not the experience men have. We feel like we're forced to make the first move, or we'll always be alone. We feel like we have to "compensate" a woman for the time she spends talking with us by paying for her meals, as if the conversation couldn't possibly be mutually i…

More women are choosing to be single. Fine, that's great. If that's what they want, more power to them. And more men are also choosing to be single. Good! It's definitely your choice. On the interpersonal relationship side, I don't think marriage is a bad deal. Of course there are wonderfully fulfilling marriages where both partners are committed to each other. The problem isn't (as much) with individuals. It's with the legal system that ROYALLY screws men in divorces. In a nasty divorce, it's not uncommon for the wife to walk away with half (or more) of the assets, most of which have been earned by the man, and get custody of the kids. Legally, men are at far more risk in di…

That's why I also advocate for social safety nets and government programs to help people re-enter the job market after a long absence. Just like parents aren't legally obligated to provide for their adult children, an ex-spouse should not be obligated to provide for their adult partner after divorce.

Even if you can't find a good lawyer, at least get yourself SOME sort of lawyer. They should know enough about what can and cannot be admitted to evidence to make your case work. I wish I could recommend a lawyer for you, but I can't. She invested her time and effort into someone who wouldn't do the same for her. But that's her decision. The difference lies with how easily women can delude themselves into thinking they were raped. I think the majority of women who (wrongfully) accuse a man of rape because they didn't explicitly say "yes" aren't doing it intentionally. They've just been taught that "bad feelings + not saying yes = rape." And that sense of victim-hood keeps being reinforced by victim-advocates who conflate regret with rape. I actually don't get the sense that this author is stating "regret==rape." However, I think it's quite likely this author DOES hold that view. In the end, an "absence of yes" is not the same as "lack of consent." Plenty of consensual encounters have occurred without a clear statement of "yes" that were not rape. And that ambiguity is a challenge. However, given that there's a presumption of innocence (or at least should be), that ambiguity is a challenge that the courts must face and seek to rec…

I have no issue with the definition of feminism as "equality between men and women." By that definition, I am a feminist. But I reject that label due to people like Gloria Steinem who have a larger voice in the movement, and who thoroughly misrepresent the facts, and who constantly believe that women are perpetual victims. I love that video. But I have no idea why it has anything to do with political correctness.

"An ugly political debate during which both sides resorted to childish name-calling." As is their right. Name calling is a valid form of free speech. It's just a pity that this lawsuit had to last so long when it was clearly a free speech issue.

Personally, I just want her to spend a short time in jail, and then have her employer keep a very close eye on her. Her behaviour was extremely inappropriate, but I would rather treat the issue through ridicule than pressure on her employer to fire her. In other words, I don't want her silenced, I want her ideas destroyed through debate and logic.

Sticking specifically to the 2.5-3.5% "conviction" rate. I'm going to say that calling it a "conviction" rate is very misleading, as it makes it sound like the vast majority of reported rapes are dismissed. Whereas the issue MAY be the vast majority of rapes are unreported. However, looking through the link you shared, I cannot find their definition of rape. Yet I see their "facts at a glance" datasheet says that nearly 1 in 5 women (and 1 in 71 men) experienced rape. Below that section, however…

I have seen some MRA's engaging with feminists in the way you described above, but every time I've seen that, it has been both aggressive MRA's and aggressive feminists yelling at each other. But I think that is more of a red herring used by more extreme feminists to invalidate the MRM. It certainly doesn't invalidate ALL the claims of MRM anymore than the more man-hating feminists invalidate ALL the claims of feminism. Anyway, rather than go on excessively about the almost always unpleasant int…

MRM is not a positive movement? I don't really see that. A lot of MRM is in response to feminism, but there are areas where I think it is positive, in the sense of having issues they care about that are not a response to feminism. For example, intactivism, work-place safety, alimony and child support, and due process on campuses. Those are areas where MRM is concerned about things, and would remain concerned about those topics even if feminism were not a thing.

No... they're "succeeding" spectacularly. Richard Dawkins, perhaps the biggest name in Atheism, and a skeptic, is uninvited from a skeptic's conference. They won. This round. But it's most definitely time to fight back.

I like your analysis of the study. But I disagree sharply with your last point. I have yet to see any feminists support a men's movement unless first prompted on the issue. And more frustratingly, the more vocal feminists I know specifically ridicule the men's movement. One has a penchant for sharing posts from "Exposing Men's Right Activists."

Don't forget that your parents grew up in a society that believed circumcision is supposed to happen. Your anger at them is (likely) misdirected. I think it is reasonable, and a good idea to speak to them and let them know that you are upset about this happening to you, but to remember that, realistically, they "didn't know any better."

There's some interesting ideas that gay men use the stereotypical gay voice as a way to signal to other men that they're gay.

Four hours... and yet, I'm actually quite enjoying this podcast... just turn it on, leave it going in the background, and listen to mostly casual conversation.

Depends on whose definition you use. But the most common form of feminism these days definitely does believe in women being oppressed... Along with women always being the victims.

Okay, people, there are guys who want to open a relationship too and get shut down on it. This is not Pussy Pass Denied, this is open relationship denied... she didn't use her sex to try to argue she should be free to do this or anything. It's just two people with incompatible views on their relationship.

Here is the single greatest secret any woman can have for finding the "right" kind of man for her: When you find a man who is the type of man you're interested in, ask him to take you on a date. The kind of guys who want long-term relationships also tend to be the kind of guys who don't pick up on subtle hints, or who shy away from a "sexy" aura. This isn't bad; it just means you're going to have to do more work to make sure he knows you're interested in HIM, and not just the fact that he's male…
