5	Dear Nice Guy Friend Most girls are just about as oblivious as guys are, so we look at gender norms to figure out what a guy's intentions are without him having to spell them out for us. A guy offering to buy a drink says "I'm attracted to you" or "I'm interested in getting to know you more" or "Let's go have a roll in ze hay". 2	Dear Nice Guy Friend I think in this case the drinks would be more like the sandwiches, they would mark that he is with her and taking some charge of that i.e. "manning up".
